    Honey hot sauce
    Shannon C.

Garden Catering used to be one of my favorite go-to lunch spots. Unfortunately, things have gone severely downhill. I've given them 3 more tries after my first bad meal and each one continues to get worse. The nuggets are incredibly overcooked, dry, and almost inedible. My favorite honey hot sauce is a different taste and color everytime. When I ask, the answer always is "oh we must have messed up the ratio". To put the nail in the coffin, the prices have gone way up. It's over $7 for a junior special and if you want them to toss the nuggets in one of the sauces, they charge an extra dollar. They've become skimpy with the sauces as well. At my last visit, the container was only about a quarter full. The price increase and quality decrease must be due to the installation of the new sign outside "best nuggets ever" rather than the actual Garden Catering name. If someone isn't familiar with your store, good luck getting them to find you.

Went out and got Caesar wrap. When I got the wrap it was really soggy and it seemed like they Paninipressed it. I get the wraps all the time from the one in Stamford . They do not do it like that. The consistency of the lettuce was like spinach. When I called to ask if they can make it over again, they told me if they didn't Panini press it it would fall apart to which I was going to say forget about it, but she hung up in my face before I could even finish my sentence. It seemed as if I was annoying her and she was upset that I was complaining. I work in food service myself, and this is not the way to treat customers. I wouldn't even feel comfortable going back to get a new sandwich because I feel like somehow it would magically end up on the floor.. or worse . I won't be back there. Do better

I've been eating Garden Catering for nearly 30 years, sometimes daily during high-school years. While this is not the original, they do hold the name and should therefore represent what that legendary name stands for. Unfortunately they fell way below the line with a recent Uber Eats order. Perhaps it was too late in the day, either way that shouldn't be an excuse. Missing item, no cover on shake during COVID, way too overcooked cones, not nearly enough seasoning, Uber site and bag showing missing one type of condiment yet another type was missing from the order. Norwalk's Garden Catering does not live up to the true legend. Go to Greenwich if you want the real deal. Even the taken over Roosters are better.

The staff was super friendly, and I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. It was made on a Brioche roll with a fried egg. Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of the egg or the sandwich overall. It was okay, probably a three-star kind of thing. Next time I went back, I tried the Calise sandwich, which has chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. I asked for the broccoli rabe on the side because I know everyone makes it differently. I get that it can be bitter, but some places make it taste amazing without the bitterness, so I wanted it on the side. The sandwich was really good, so I'd give it four stars, especially since the breakfast one was just three in my book. Sometimes you gotta visit a place a couple of times to really get a feel for their food. I wasn't really a fan of the broccoli rabe--it was a bit too bitter for me. But the sandwich itself was tasty, with well-seasoned chicken and really fresh mozzarella. Not sure if they make the mozzarella in-house, but it's delicious. It tasted just like you'd expect from an authentic Italian deli. Very good. Third time I went, I tried the Mother Clucker, which has a chicken cutlet, Russian dressing, cheddar cheese, and bacon. I wanted to try it because I'd seen it being made during my last visit and it looked awesome. It took about ten minutes to get ready. When I opened it up, I realized it had melted cheddar, not sliced like I thought, but it was all good. The sandwich was tasty, but a bit over the top with the bacon and melted cheddar--almost too much. I think using sliced cheddar would bring everything together better. The melted cheese kinda takes away from it, in my opinion. The bacon was crispy even with the cheesy sauce on top, and the chicken was nicely seasoned. I definitely plan to come back and try the Chopped Italian Combo. The staff's always friendly and welcoming, and it's a solid spot if you're looking for breakfast, with plenty of breakfast platters and other menu items that might catch your eye.

While in the area, I was looking for something to eat for lunch. I spotted this place while driving by and decided to stop in. I was greeted as I walked in and ordered the number 13, known as the Seth Combo Wrap: chicken cutlet, arugula, long hots, tomato, jalapeños, cheddar, mayo, and balsamic on your choice of wrap. I asked to switch the wrap to a grinder and removed the jalapeños and long hots since I don't like spicy food. The sandwich was ready in about ten minutes. It turned out to be really good and incredibly fresh. The arugula added a bold, peppery, slightly spicy flavor with a nutty, sharp bite. I especially loved the balsamic vinegar, which gave the sandwich a rich, sweet, and tangy kick. The chicken was crispy and tasty, though it could have been a bit more seasoned. Overall, it was a solid sandwich -- fresh and satisfying. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely be back to try more items from the menu.

It was quite busy when we arrived on a late Sunday a.m. in January. Tables were filled and there was a line for ordering. We decided on a tomato cheddar soup and the Churn it Up sandwich with Havarti and provolone. We were told the wait would be 40 mins, giving us the option to wait it out or go elsewhere. We stuck it out and the food was at our table in less than 20 mins. The sandwiches were ooey gooey toasted cheesiness and paired perfectly with the creamy tomato soup. It came with a lighty dressed arugula salad. I had a freshly brewed ice tea and my dining partner got a Dr. Brown's soda. The breakfast rush was soon over but people were still coming in to eat and grab take out while we enjoyed our meals. They also offer beers and wines and hot chocolate. The entire place was very clean, including the restrooms, although I did not see any table wiping going on. Staff were smiling and polite. Plenty of parking in lot shared with other business.
