Garden Catering has become hit or miss. The first few times I had it I found it tasty. I ordered from UberEats The Special and one of my nuggets (see picture) had a big piece of fat or a vein. It made me lose my appetite. I also paid extra to upgrade the drink included with The Special to be a vanilla milkshake. I didn't receive the milkshake or any drink whatsoever. The hot sauce ratio was way off, no blue cheese. You can add a million things to the wrap, but the description fails to tell you it comes with carrots and celery, which I would've asked to take off. Service is always fast, everyone is kind and easy to work with. If you have any concerns they address quickly and appropriately. Excellent experience with this location of Garden Catering. Been going to the Garden Catering chain since 2006. This location I've been going to since 2014-2015. It's been very consistent with excellent staff and service. Any time there is any issue. (which rarely happens) The issue is addressed every time. This time me and my daughter went. I had "The Boss - Special" and she had a chicken parm on a roll with sautéed mushrooms. Which I didn't even know they had. My food was very good, only a few fries cooked a little too hard. But it had seasoning and extra sauces like I asked. I usually do there buffalo and ranch. So good. Also had a vanilla coke which was a nice touch. My daughter said her sandwich was great, cheesy and delicious. And some of my vanilla coke. LOL dad problems. (they always want what you have) We will both definitely be coming back for lunch or dinner again. Only thing that sucks is the parking in downtown stamford has gotten very difficult, not impossible. I usually order the special or the junior special (same thing but you get it) that come with nuggets, fries )or your choice of side at additional price), and a can soda for $8+. Instead of the fries, I ordered the mac and cheese bites which were very delicious!!!! My meal also came with a drink which I grabbed from the refrigerator after paying. I have been to Garden Catering about 20-30 times in the last two years. They nail the breakfast Hotsy and the nuggets. Justifiable for the $6.29 price point or the $12 for the Hotsy Wedge .. I am just very frustrated with their lunch sandwiches, this being the second time in the last 6 months I have tried to work this into my monthly lunch spot but it is apparently not meant to be. Got the CCB, wedge. The chicken was nowhere near the taste of their nuggets, and understandably so. but it was not good, most all the fried part fell off everywhere of the chicken, they added bacon and mayo but it was all huddled in the bottom part of the sandwich where the cheddar cheese was more like the consistency of Velveeta because it was all packed together on the bottom. I couldn't for the life of me get a bite with bacon, cheese, and chicken together. WAY to much Mayo. Would not complain about that but i had asked for less mayo. It just lacked taste. I can eat their nuggets all day long with no sauce. I wish i got the hotsy for lunch, and i know i would have been much happier. The other sandwich i tried at GCS, was the spicy chicken with pickles. Chicken was good on that one... however the sauce was slathered about 10 times to much on it, and the bread was basically in liquid form. It was a VERY messy sandwich. My recommendation for that would be to use a crispier pickle and less sauce, maybe a light toasting of the bread. That could fix it maybe. This CCB, im not sure.
