HIGHLY DECEPTIVE PRICING WITH RANDOM FEES TACKED ON I've come here in the past and always felt the food was decent, though not great. The sandwiches are ridiculously over priced but in a pinch when you need a solid sandwich and you're nearby, its an option. However, i noticed recently that my bill had a nearly 4% CHARGE with no explanation. Now, credit card charges are illegal in the state of Connecticut (see here: https://portal.ct.gov/dcp/legal/credit-card-surcharge?language=en_US). so businesses will try to get around them by calling them something else. Here, the charge has no explanation whatsoever but is 3.99% (see picture below). This was not disclosed to me verbally (and it may be listed somewhere on the menu, but I did not see it), and I"m sure most people are not aware of it because they do not ask for a receipt. I just tried ordering online a minute ago and i did not see this fee come up. So when does it apply? Bottom line-with ok overpriced sandwiches and unexplained charges, I think i'm done with this place, even in a pinch. read more

Dave Portnoy would die over this pizza!!! I've lived in Manhattan, I've had pizza in New Haven, but this just tops every pie I've ever had. No flop, crispy crunchy crust, the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. If you go to Corbos, grab a slice or pie of plain and you will not regret it! Additionally their new ordering process is great, friendly and organized. You order with the owner, he types in the ticket, and the ticket goes straight to the register leaving no room for mistakes! I decided to come here since I had a gift card. Came pretty hungry, so I decided to go for a hot roll #12 -- the chicken cutlet . Comes with melted mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, and roasted red pepper. A bit of bacon from the grill mistakenly was in my sandwich, but honestly I wish I added that from the get! The sandwich itself was very filling and tasty, but the bacon added some amazing crunch and smokiness to the sandwich. I also got a kombucha as my drink out of curiosity. The brand they have here Kevita, and Roots Beer sounded appealing with the sandwich. It didn't disappoint. If you're new to kombucha, I recommend. The place itself has a decent amount of seating and is conveniently located across Commons Park. The hours are typical for a breakfast/lunch deli - 7am-3pm. As I'm sitting here, I hear lots of great options being called out. I recently moved out of Stamford, so I'm a bit sad I didn't take more advantage of this spot. There's not a lot of breakfast spots around but this place is the spot! More like a grab and go but there's standing areas indoors and a few table benches outside. They seem to serve everything here, eggs, burgers, pizza, snacks, rolls, wraps, sandwiches... the menu is pretty extensive so take a moment and read what's up ok the board. They also are very accommodating adding mushrooms, tomatoes, sausages etc in your eggs. One thing to note is that oddly they don't take your name when you order your food. So you'll have to repeat what you order at the cashier and they'll give you the goods and you pay for it. Very poor customer service, especially at the register. It appears a customer ordering at the deli doesn't stand a chance over the Uber eats orders. You could stand at the "order here" sign with all the counter employed with their backs to you until you speak up. By the time your order makes the register it gets worse. The person at the register has on of the worst attitudes a customer facing employee could have, you end up having to search the counter in your own to get your order or forget it. I love this place. My favorite thing to get is the chicken parm sandwich or a chicken cutlet with mozzarella and balsamic. If I go here for breakfast I will get a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which is always delicious. The guys are always nice and food comes out right away. One of the only complaints I have about this place is the hours. The only time I can go to Corbos is Saturday because I feel like they are always closed otherwise. Quality of food is a 5/5, service and accuracy is a 1/5, which is why I am giving 3 stars. I live nearby, so I go to Corbo's very frequently. Their food is excellent, extremely tasty, lots of good options and no matter what you get it is bound to be delicious. That is, if the order is correct. The service here is very sloppy - if you order in line, there is a chance they will get something wrong since they don't write anything down and just yell at each other what the orders should be. I started ordering online, thinking this would be foolproof, but it still is not. Half the time my order is not ready when I arrive (they say to give 20 minutes for pickup orders, and I always give it at least 30-40 minutes). If it is ready, there's a decent chance the order is STILL wrong, despite ordering it online and having it all spelled out right on the order sheet. Today I ordered a very basic Turkey/cheddar wedge, and received roast beef instead of Turkey (even though the wrap that it is wrapped up in has "Turkey" written in sharpie on it). It's a shame, because the food is so good here and the quality is top notch. When the order is correct, it is SO good and a real treat. I will still continue to go here, but will probably stick to the signature "numbered" sandwiches that do not require any customization. Even the simplest of customizations is bound to be messed up at some point here. read more

Everything is so good!! One tip - prepare for it to be busy and to wait. BUT it is so worth it. Order at the counter. Just a few seats inside and picnic tables outside. In the summer, it's nice to grab your breakfast/lunch and sit outside or over in harbor point commons - in the winter, this will be take out/take home. Extensive menu has awesome options. Many breakfast sandwich choices - you can have your standard bacon egg and cheese or you can get veggies and other fun stuff in it. Egg whites is an option, which I like. Lots of bread choices too. All of the lunch sandwiches are fantastic- they have great fried and grilled chicken, lots of options for a delish sandwich. Never disappointed! read more

Best bet is to send a friend in to pick up a Corbo club, egg and cheese or a steak sandwich. Daily specials are also usually very good. I have yet to understand why people like this place....I've been here about 3 times - for breakfast (twice) and lunch (once). Breakfast is what they do best in my opinion - the bagels were average at best, and other things were just okay. At lunch, we ordered two sandwiches for takeout, and both orders were messed up when we brought them home. At that point, we just gave up. Employees seemed distracted, and not paying attention - which was odd, because it wasn't crowded any time I've gone.
