    The Lucas Sandwich

Such a solid BEC, but I love the Baddie. It's fresh and light so it doesn't feel as heavy and greasy as a regular one. The staff is always super friendly. Plus they have some outdoor tables which is great for the warmer months. The inside doesn't a lot of tables either

random 3.99% charge with no explanation

HIGHLY DECEPTIVE PRICING WITH RANDOM FEES TACKED ON I've come here in the past and always felt the food was decent, though not great. The sandwiches are ridiculously over priced but in a pinch when you need a solid sandwich and you're nearby, its an option. However, i noticed recently that my bill had a nearly 4% CHARGE with no explanation. Now, credit card charges are illegal in the state of Connecticut (see here: https://portal.ct.gov/dcp/legal/credit-card-surcharge?language=en_US). so businesses will try to get around them by calling them something else. Here, the charge has no explanation whatsoever but is 3.99% (see picture below). This was not disclosed to me verbally (and it may be listed somewhere on the menu, but I did not see it), and I"m sure most people are not aware of it because they do not ask for a receipt. I just tried ordering online a minute ago and i did not see this fee come up. So when does it apply? Bottom line-with ok overpriced sandwiches and unexplained charges, I think i'm done with this place, even in a pinch.

This Fresh Mozzarella sandwich is missing the fresh mozzarella. It's clearly dried and thin sliced mozzarella, not fresh.

This Fresh Mozzarella sandwich is missing fresh mozzarella. I also didn't like ordering on a machine when there's 6 people behind the counter. Underwhelming.

    Plain pie

Dave Portnoy would die over this pizza!!! I've lived in Manhattan, I've had pizza in New Haven, but this just tops every pie I've ever had. No flop, crispy crunchy crust, the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. If you go to Corbos, grab a slice or pie of plain and you will not regret it! Additionally their new ordering process is great, friendly and organized. You order with the owner, he types in the ticket, and the ticket goes straight to the register leaving no room for mistakes! The staff is so friendly, and the owner is incredibly nice! I highly recommend this deli over any other in Stamford.

I decided to come here since I had a gift card. Came pretty hungry, so I decided to go for a hot roll #12 -- the chicken cutlet . Comes with melted mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, and roasted red pepper. A bit of bacon from the grill mistakenly was in my sandwich, but honestly I wish I added that from the get! The sandwich itself was very filling and tasty, but the bacon added some amazing crunch and smokiness to the sandwich. I also got a kombucha as my drink out of curiosity. The brand they have here Kevita, and Roots Beer sounded appealing with the sandwich. It didn't disappoint. If you're new to kombucha, I recommend. The place itself has a decent amount of seating and is conveniently located across Commons Park. The hours are typical for a breakfast/lunch deli - 7am-3pm. As I'm sitting here, I hear lots of great options being called out. I recently moved out of Stamford, so I'm a bit sad I didn't take more advantage of this spot. Will be back in the next month to finish off my gift card!

There's not a lot of breakfast spots around but this place is the spot! More like a grab and go but there's standing areas indoors and a few table benches outside. They seem to serve everything here, eggs, burgers, pizza, snacks, rolls, wraps, sandwiches... the menu is pretty extensive so take a moment and read what's up ok the board. They also are very accommodating adding mushrooms, tomatoes, sausages etc in your eggs. One thing to note is that oddly they don't take your name when you order your food. So you'll have to repeat what you order at the cashier and they'll give you the goods and you pay for it. I can see this becoming an issue if the crowd is large and there's no organization.

Classic Deli. Great people, great food. Highly recommend breakfast. Raymundo on a wrap is my go-to breakfast. Very friendly service. Easy and quick service. If you haven't been to any of their locations you are missing out. Sandwiches are filling but not over the top just how it should be.

Number 12. Chicken Cutlet and Fresh Mozzarella on a Wedge

Pretty decent sandwiches, sometimes they hook you up with a lot of meat and sometimes they skimp you out hard. The employees are all very nasty, it's almost like you ordering is bothering to them. Sucks because there's no other deli close by.

Horrible customer service , extremely rude

"I'm not sure yet, but the fact that one bite even raises the question is shocking." This is the best thing crust pizza I've ever had. I've had Star Tavern, I've had Calabria's, I've had Angeloni's -- this is the best. (My husband later agreed.) The problem I have with many thin crust pizza places is that their crust is crackery -- it's paper thin and has great integrity, but it's dusty, has no flavor, and breaks apart super easily -- like a cracker. Not so with Colony, my friends. I don't quite know how they do it, but the crust is paper thin, the integrity is incredible, the crust is actually flavorful, and best of all (in my opinion): the crust is CHEWY. My mind was blown. I didn't even mention the price yet: $11.95 for a pie. You can barely get a coffee for cheaper than that anymore, let alone a delicious meal. I'm a fan for life.

White Clam Pizza -- A Must-Try Legend Many reviews…read moreconsistently rave that Frank Pepe's clam pie lives up to its reputation. The white clam pizza delivers a punch of clams, garlic, and cheese on that signature thin, char-charred New Haven-style crust -- garlicky, salty, and utterly memorable. It's the pie people seek out when they make a pilgrimage to Frank Pepe's, and some say it's the best pizza they've had in years. The clams are generous and fresh-tasting, the crust is crisp yet chewy, and every bite feels like a perfect balance of sea and oven fire. For seafood lovers and adventurous eaters, this is the pie to order -- bold, classic, and worth the hype. Margherita Pizza -- Simple, Fresh, and my son loved it. While the clam pizza steals a lot of the spotlight, the margherita and original tomato pies are also beloved. The margherita is beautifully simple: ripe tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil with that same irresistible coal-oven char on the crust. It's not as brash as the clam pie, but it's an excellent showcase of quality ingredients done right. Red-sauce traditionalists especially appreciate how Pepe's tomato-forward pies complement the zingier clam slice, making them great to share with a group
