Garden Grille has never ever dissapointed me and I've been here numerous times (approximately 50 or so times). I find it to be an absolutely delicious vegetarian restaurant. Their consistency is nothing short of amazing. I mean I've been here so many times and their orders are made in a timely manner, the staff are always friendly/knowledgeable and food is delish. My absolute favorite dish that I crave on a regular basis is the Butternut Squash Quesadilla. It's sweet, tortilla beautifully charred with overflowing cheesiness. My next favorite dish is Reggies Raw Heaven. I usually eat this salad when I feel like I need a detox from my ordinary diet and lifestyle. Reggie's Raw Heaven Arugula - Mango - Grapefruit - Avocado - Beet-infused Jicama - Cashew Gamasio - Pomegranate Dressing This salad doesn't sound all that impressive, but all the ingredients mesh so well together. I ordered over the phone for pickup. I was trying to decide between here and Wildflour, not realizing (until I showed up) that they are neighbors. They are both in a strip mall that offers plenty of free parking. The menu prices aren't listed online so I added them here: Pastrami Seitan Reuben with Violife cheese - $13 + $1 (A+): Reuben sandwich served with a pickle spear and tortilla chips. There was a $1 up-charge for vegan cheese that I was not aware of until checkout. Now about the food. The sides aren't even worth mentioning but OMG, that sandwich was so amazing. It was extremely flavorful and full of ooey gooey cheesy goodness. I could eat this again and again. I can't wait to get another one in my mouth ASAP. A must try! Roasted Chimichurri Brussels - $11 (A): After seeing another Yelpers post, I was afraid of getting a tiny portion. They must have taken notes because the portion was great, especially for a starter. The seasoning was on-point and the sunchokes almost stole the show. I've never had sunchokes before but recently saw them used on the Food Network. Now I am obsessed and must find these in the grocery store. Risotto Cakes $11 (B+): These were also very good. The only reason they got a B vs an A was because they were quite soggy. In fairness, it was probably due to the takeout box. Nonetheless, the cakes were also flavorful, chewy and the onions and arugula were the perfect accompaniments. The only negative was the sauces. I was given two sauces, one mint green and one pinkish and both were actually bland. Luckily, the food was so bold it didn't need any sauce. I am absolutely returning in the near future. read more

Exceptionally delicious vegetarian and vegan food! Got the butternut squash quesadilla and sweet potato wedges, was absolutely blown away by the quality and flavor of both. Food wasn't exactly served fast but who cares when it tastes this good? One of the best meals I've had in a while. It was clean, filling and only downside was the homemade ketchup wasn't good at all for me. I'm back to traveling for business which also means dining out all the time. This week, I'm in Providence, RI. and dining at the Garden Grill. If you're ever in the area, don't miss this 5-star gem!! If you live close by, I'm jealous! Food: The food was amazing! I started with the soup of the day; Creamy Potato & Celery Root. I was expecting a small cup or bowl; instead it came in a large cereal type bowl. Next, I ordered their Mac n Cheese adding mushrooms and beacun. The sauce was the best I've had and made in house!! Both serving were enough for 2 or in my case to finish later at the hotel. Service: Everyone was super kind and helpful. With so many mouth-watering choices I asked my server for help. She was informative and gave great recommendations. Ambiance: Seating for approximately 36 and that doesn't include the 7-8 seats at the full service bar. Nicely decorated with live plants. Wow, I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place. I got an order for takeout but want to come back to dine in. I got the tofu BLT and was was really nice. The bread was grilled but not dry. The bacun had a BBQ flavor which wasn't bad, just different. The bread was a little hard so it scratched the roof of my mouth but was totally worth it. I want like 10 more of these sandwiches. The chips that it comes with were also good. I'm not sure what it was but they had sea salt and some other hint of flavoring. It was all amazing and I'm excited for the text visit! read more

We hadn't been since they renovated so it was a nice treat to see their beautiful new style with a carved tree over the bar. My beverage of ginger-lemon ade stole the show- they make it in house and it was AMAZING!! We really enjoyed the generous portions of cauliflower and tempura sweet potatoes - so much so that we didn't finish our yummy salads. What great quality food for a decent price. Excellent ambience with modern decor and a cool, relaxed vibe. Extensive cocktail list an a nice option for a half bottle of wine- perfect for sharing with a friend. I tried three Korean tacos which were delicious and a very large and filling portion; I ended up bringing one and a half tacos home. Service was friendly and consistent. I tend to eat mostly vegetarian but am not exclusively vegetarian and it was really refreshing not to have to watch out for meat in things. So many options. Probably the longest operating vegetarian restaurant in RI, the Garden Grille is owned by the same person who owns the Grange and Wildflour Bakery & Cafe, Rob Yaffe. His daily visits keep this place consistent, and consistently excellent. Vegan options abound, but dairy cheeses, cream for coffee, and eggs are available for those who want them. There's a full bar too! This is hands down the best vegan macaroni and cheese you will eat, served in its own little cast iron pan. My husband usually gets the seitan Reuben (he orders it with real Swiss) and swears he can't tell it's not meat - although he wouldn't put cheese on a real meat sandwich. Other favorites of mine are the butternut squash quesadillas, pretty much any of the salads (with of without an added egg), and the yummy soups - changing daily. The service is good , the interior is lovely & there are a few outdoor two tops if the weather is right. This is a good spot for groups of up to 4; it's too small for a larger party. read more

Listen. Everything. Was bussin. I went with a friend who ordered bbq seitan to start! He said it was wonderful. I ordered the buffalo cauliflower- YUM! Well coated in the sauce + a nice textured bite. I also grabbed a side of collards - and baby!!? Listen. They SMACKED! I am a collard green connoisseur- as someone who was raised on soul food. Still, although I initially thought about adding some grilled chicken to my salad, I soon realised that it was not only impossible but also unnecessary. Here's what we ordered: Buffalo cauliflower - crispy and just perfect... get this ASAP Reggie's raw heaven - arugula, mango, 1/2 an avocado and some sort of dressing. Dressing was underwhelming but that's probably because I was craving a balsamic vinaigrette instead. Good portion size and refreshing! Brussel sprouts and sunchokes - YUMMMM!! Didn't care too much for the sunchokes (a bit greasy/overworked) but the sprouts were tasty! Bean burger - you won't miss meat with this one. Caramelised onions and just soooo much flavor. Get it. I really love the focus on plants at Garden Grille. I mean it is in the name, "garden!" A must order is the Sirrachi Buffalo Cauliflower! So delicious... along with my personal favorite, the entree Maple Mustard Tempeh. The food is well priced and the portions are the perfect size, we ordered the butternut squash quesadilla, Korean tacos and lentil tostados. The Korean tacos were out of this world! They had everything- a touch of salty, crunchy cabbage to compliment the savory, saucy seitan. I have never experienced a more flavorful and actually downright delicious piece of seitan - what sorcery is this? Usually, I find quesadillas to be pretty similar across the board, but this one really is light years ahead of all other quesadillas- a true classic dish. The onion beer soup was delicious, essentially a French onion soup that's been vegetarianized. Vegan option also available. The Reuben was delicious. The preparation of the seitan "pastrami" is like chunky shaved. Also vegan option available. The pear lemon ginger mocktail is super refreshing. The pear is the least noticeable flavor but the ginger and lemon are strong and delicious. The gluten free carrot cupcake was soft and moist. The frosting was soft (no cream cheese flavor if that's important to you). No nuts and has raisins in the cake, which is not my favorite, but the actual texture of the cake was great. read more

The server was really friendly, checking with us that everything was ok. It was quite busy for a Monday afternoon, I'm guessing the other people were more regulars? I am not a vegetarian or vegan but I've been on a fried food and red meat bender the last week or so due to the cold weather coming on. I guess my body is trying to fatten up. I decided that we should go to a vegetarian place in order to health things up a bit and was expecting a few little seaweed wrapped rice balls or something in a restaurant full of waify thin yoga instructors ... not the case here. Upon first glance, it was a mix of diners. There were chubby diners, thin diners and regular sized ones. Most of the crowd was of a younger hipster styled variety but there were a few middle aged couples who looked like college professors chowing down on vegetarian food. What really shocked me was that the portions here are HUGE!! Like NYC deli sized portions ... and the prices were amazing. I had the meat free pastrami Reuben sandwich and I never would have known it was meat free unless I was told. It was so incredibly yummy ... maybe not the healthiest thing on the menu. But so so good. Honestly, if all vegetarian cooking was like this, I am not saying I'd give up eating meat ... but if I had to, it would not be as hard to do. The sweet potato and black bean quesadilla was amazing and probably big enough for two people to share. The odd thing for me ... a big carnivore ... is that there were at least half a dozen things on the menu I loved the sound of. We saw a few burgers come out (mushroom) which looked incredible. The beer selection is fantastic and the bartenders were so nice and helpful with recommendations for a non-vegetarian. The portion sizes and ingredients may not help you achieve major weight loss but for a meat free meal, I have to say that I never thought vegetarian food could taste so good. As a vegetarian, only restaurant, garden Grill provides a wide variety of options for incoming diners. Alex has been to this restaurant many times, but it was Julianna's first time visiting and we met a friend there for dinner. We started with the risotto cakes, which were under done this time, but in the past when I've had them, they were very good. Alex is a big fan of their spicy margarita cocktail and recommends it to anyone who likes margaritas. Julianna ordered a whole Margherita pizza which looked incredible. The crust had the flavor and texture as if it butter in the dough, resulting in a delicious crust. Otherwise the pizza was mediocre. Alex had the mushroom quesadilla which was under seasoned and the spinach inside was slightly over done. Our friend got the pad Thai dish and that looked like the best entree out of the 3. The service was perfectly fine. Our server was attentive, and cordial. The ambience of the restaurant was interesting. There were rustic light fixtures above every table inside, and a set of four or five tables outside for folks enjoying a lovely summer evening dinner. Overall, as a vegetarian only restaurant, this place is a nice option in a convenient location. While the food could have been executed better, the cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. read more

The Garden Grille was a nice restaurant: the setting was nice, the staff were lovely, and the majority of the dishes were delicious. We ordered the loaded nachos to start which were delicious. It was a large portion with beans, cheese, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, and more. The generosity of the portion did not compromise the taste, however. Highly recommend! We also ordered the soba salad, which was flavorful and refreshing (and also a generous portion). Definitely bank on sharing starters and mains here. The spicy corn pizza was also delicious and the flavor really came through. We have also ordered the squash quesadillas before which never fail! The pan fried Brussels sprouts were not up to par, unfortunately. The first time, they were raw. The kitchen then boiled them, however they did not exhibit or taste of pan friedness. Nevertheless, the glaze they served it with was wonderful. Overall the experience was lovely and the service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend! read more

Does this place even need my review? Probably not! I named my Yelp tag as "Cauli and Tots" and of courseeeee I'm going to a local vegan restaurant and trying their cauliflower. Their cauliflower appetizer was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Honestly I don't remember what I ordered as a sandwich but it was darn good. My only concern was how their staff handled social distancing procedures because I picked up on their nervousness and it made being there slightly uncomfortable. This was a month ago, and I'm sure they're just learning and have gotten experience with this, so it really wasn't a big deal. Overall, they know what they're doing. read more

Normally everyone seems very nice here. Been there many times. But I went in today, asked to sit outside (it's 53 degrees) so it was warm enough. The guy says he'll have to unlock it - I say that's fine - then makes an excuse that it'll set a precedent - after pausing. He says I can take the food to go and eat it a couple doors down at wildflour which has outside tables (owned by the same people) Seems very lazy. I wanted to sit at a table so I says I'll sit inside, and he offers me a table in the dark, I point to another table (there are a bunch enpty - he declines that seat. I end up walking out. Very poor customer service especially since I am a regular customer. They usually are better. Very disappointing. Hopefully not a trend. read more

It was super busy...... 30-45 minutes wait.....the hostess said u can wait if u like and the coffee shop u get complimentary coffee while u wait......I said why not.......I went couple of doors to the left...... Open one door and they were doing construction....... ooops wrong door..... then I kept going found it.... the last store to the left..... I just sat and talked to my friend..... we weren't in the mood for coffee but we had a good chat while we waited..... then finally my buzzer started vibrating...... time to eat....... we got seated and the waiter was pleasant.........
