This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is exceptional--it is healthy, tasty, and tastefully presented. I would go to the Providence location each time I flew in from Charleston to visit my sister. We were so disappointed when the Providence location closed, but so relieved to know that the Barrington restaurant was still there and expanded. The Barrington restaurant has the ambiance and similar feel of Providence, with less space but equally as comfortable. The salads we ordered were divine, as was the lasagna and the forbidden black rice dish. We almost never order dessert, but we did in this case. It was excellent. Our service was superb. We could not have asked for a more attentive and informed server. We were also thrilled to get some of our favorites as takeout -- lentils, quinoa salad, and the delicious eggplant. From the Providence location days, I would especially enjoy having back theme nights with vegan cuisine from around the world. I would also welcome special seminars on vegan cooking and cuisine. In the category of great, nutritious food, this is truly an exceptional place. I highly recommend frequenting this restaurant with friends and family! You will not be disappointed. read more

Let's start at the door. The place smelled like acetone, like a nail salon. It was loud. Fans, generators etc. I got a greek-ish salad. The cheese was over salty and uninteresting. Salad= it had tons of Pickles (pickles? Yuck), pickled artichokes, over salty dressing that was swimming at the bottom of the small bowl, something resembling unpopped corn kernels. The sweet fries were cold at the table. All of this was ridiculously expensive. I choked down 1/3 of the salad and a few fries. The whole lunch made me nauseous. Run don't walk to get this pesto pizza. Simply delicious!! Also had the hummus wrap which had an abundance of hummus on it this was throughly enjoyed by my teenage son. Fires were good and the desserts were perfection! Actually like this location better than the providence location because you can pick from all the menus. The last time I tried Plant City was when it first opened in the Providence location and I didn't love it- but I have been to the Barrington location multiple times since opening and it's great! Maybe my taste pallet has changed in the last 5 years because I have been enjoying the food from here way more this time around. Things I've tried: - I have been getting the Cesar Salad and adding fried tofu and it's honestly amazing. It's a chopped salad which is great and the dressing is very light and creamy. -The blueberry muffins- honestly one of the best I have ever had - Berry smoothie which wasn't anything special but still very good - THE FRENCH FRIES. Literally tasted like McDonalds and to me that's a 10/10. Think I need to branch out and try more things from here but so far loving that they have this new location so close by. Haven't sat down to eat my food we've been ordering ahead (love that they have that as an option) and taking it to go, but inside is a super nice environment, has good seating options and is never too crowded! read more

I ordered the macadamia ricotta toast (w gf bread) and the gf maple pecan donut, along with an oatmilk iced coffee with caramel and an almond milk chai latte. The macadamia ricotta was so creamy and delicious. The donut was just as amazing, perfectly sweet with a hint of maple and the crunch of pecans. We are a huge fan of Plant City and excited to visit the new Barrington location. It is very cute, offering the biggest hits from Plant City and all of my favorites the Dorado Tacos, Truffle Burger, Ceasar Salad and Pesto Pizza. This time, we wanted a snack since we had NYE dinner reservations. We ordered to share the Ceasar Salad and tried the Everything Fries ( Cashew Queso on the side because I allergic, but my husband enjoyed it! ) which is now making my favorites list! We also ordered a maple cinnamon latte with pistachio milk and vanilla latte with pistachio milk which were incredible! To go, we bought a Plain Croissant, Pumpkin Spice Poptart, and Molassas Cookie to go. All delicious, but the Molasses Cookie is now an obsession, so chewy on the outside, soft interior Love this location outside of the city, with the greatest hits, small market, plenty of parking, and super close to Colt State Park where we walked around with our pup right after. read more

I'd give 3.5 stars, honestly. I've been going since they opened and they have made improvements. Food items are hit or miss. I really like the Cobb and Caesar salad and I LOOOVE the mushroom tacos. The nachos aren't my favorite (and I'm disappointed about that, they just fell flat with flavor). The avocado toast with the tuna is amazing, without the tuna it's also very good but the tuna really makes it for me. The smoothies are great as is the ice cream. I'm ok with the burger but the chicken sandwich is a hard pass for me.y daughter loves the pastries. I also wish they'd tell you on the menu what their chicken is, etc so I don't have to awkwardly ask the girls at the register and have them look into each item on the spot...because they don't know the answers. I'd rather be told what I'm being served vs what it should resemble in a non vegan world. I'm not there for chicken, please don't call it chicken. Anyway, I suspect there's a lot of sugar and calories in the menu items but would really appreciate transparency with their foods...especially as someone with a food allergy. Staff I'm mixed on. Those working behind the counter aren't knowledgeable and being that there are no nutrition facts available online or in store makes it worse. The staff preparing and out in the seating area are very nice and go out of their way to be helpful. As for the atmosphere, it's more inviting than it was when it opened and I appreciate the improvements with window treatments and floor plants. There's still room to improve in the organization of the trash though...it's confusing. The prices are also high. Lunch for two is probably going to be 50ish for 2, with no service and a fast food/takeout quality. read more

Great new Plant City in Barrington. Similar aesthetic to the one in PVD but much smaller venue and just on counter for service. I tried their tofu teriyaki "sushi" roll, which was cool and innovative but I think I prefer my sushi with actual fish, but I understand that's not part of the concept here. My friend enjoyed her faux chicken sandwich, which for the same price as the "sushi" was much more substantial. Service was quick at the counter on a Saturday afternoon. We liked the atmosphere and relaxed for awhile in the booths. I'd definitely return here but would opt for something other than the sushi. Also, note there is no bar here (unlike PVD). Awesome spot! Dog friendly patio. The inside is clean, inviting, offers an impressive amount of gluten free and vegan options for snacks on top of their daily menu. The service was great - everyone was friendly, helpful, and polite. A worker came out and gave our dog a pup cup complimentary - he loved it! The coffee was delicious, the avocado toast was good, the blueberry peach poptart was so flavorful and the croissant breakfast sandwich was also delicious. 10/10 will be back! read more

I've only visited the Plant City location in Providence, and I found the Barrington location to be smaller, but it offers a more neighborhood-friendly selection of products along with a variety of quick bites and sweet treats. So far, I've tried their coffee, salad, mushroom sandwich, and chocolate-vanilla swirled soft ice cream, all of which were excellent. I also appreciate the simple interior. The only drawback was that some staff members were a bit too chatty with each other and didn't always pay attention to customers. Overall, I'm excited to explore more of the menu. The restaurant is new and has a great aesthetic. I ordered a vegan truffle burger to go which came with a green salad. I was ordering at 3 in the afternoon. The food arrived very quickly in a couple of minutes. However, maybe it would benefit from taking longer in preparation. The burger was over $20 with tax and service. The patty was dried out and fell to pieces as I tried to eat it. The green salad had dense soggy regions within its bulk which I don't think were supposed to be there - they didn't taste good. While the food was nicely presented who ever was in the kitchen was not paying attention to the food condition. The presentation was good. But I would strongly urge the kitchen team to have a discussion about the importance of food preparation. You can't leave patties cooking for too long. And side salads should be crisp. The staff at the front were very helpful. It is great to have this new restaurant but the kitchen needs to improve its focus on quality at all times. read more

Absolutely love the new Plant City! It's such an awesome addition to Barrington and perfect that it's right off the bike path. My family and I take morning walks there and love all the healthy options. I always get a kombucha or matcha late and the plant based sausage croissant breakfast sandwich is delicious! I don't normally review restaurants, but this is a chain I am familiar with (specifically the Providence location and the Warwick location) and know the standards employees are held to. As always, the food was delicious, and that is why this review has three stars. I will sadly not be going back to this location again because of the judgmental atmosphere I received even before entering. My boyfriend and I were being stared down as we were parking, during the entirety of us being in the restaurant, and when we were obviously being watched when we were leaving. Besides the unnerving stares and obvious judgment, the employees did not know their inventory and did not ask about allergies. When we mentioned my tapioca allergy, the two girls that were working, as well as a third girl that had just been standing at the counter on the customer side, started talking to each other and laughing about how they had no clue what that was instead of sincerely asking and actually making a move to check if the food was safe for me to eat. Between this and being greeted with unwelcoming attitudes from all three girls (one of whom I'm not even sure was an employee), I will not be returning to specifically this location in Barrington unless there is a change in service standards to match the rest of the chain. read more

I am not a vegan or dairy free but their margarita pizza is incredible, what they are lacking in dairy they make up for with the amazing dough they use.
