I unfortunately forgot our server's name, but she was incredibly nice throughout our visit and accommodating when we wanted to switch tables due to a slight strobe effect from the ceiling fan during sundown. Lasagna - cheesy! Fettuccine Alfredo - delectable! Prime Rib (Special) - Yuuuum!!! A special note about the Alfredo sauce: It is made to order, which is to say they don't make the sauce until the dish has been ordered so it is always fresh and hot, oh, and it's SO GOOD! We came in on September 1, 2026 for the first time and we're very excited to try a new Italian place. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms. They came overcooked and super dry with no flavor. It tasted like burnt breadcrumbs. They were terrible. We were able to swap it out for the caprice salad which was a much better choice. Then it came to the meal and my husband's meal was fine but mine came very lukewarm at best. The restaurant was essentially empty so I'm not sure why I didn't get fresh food and it was just sitting there in the kitchen before bringing it to me. They did give me another one but by that time in combination with the mushrooms and then having food that was not even warm I had lost my appetite. $100 later between one appetizer, 2 drinks and 2 meals, we left and won't be returning. If I'm going to pay that much it needs to be hot food with a great quality. read more

Oh my Bella, where have you been my whole (Arizona) life? All I can say is the food here is very, very good and my compliments to the chef. We started with the Cheesy Garlic bread and I would recommend this as you won't be disappointed. The bread was fresh, warm and the cheese was melted nicely on the bread After taking her first bite of the piccata, my wife said it was the best CP she has ever had. All she could say was "Omg, Omg, Omg...". Well you get the point. The piccata sauce was savory and topped off with capers. It complimented the chicken perfectly. My wife already wants to go back. Hack: My wife ordered the pasta without sauce but with Olive Oil and garlic. It was outstanding!!! I had the Chicken Parmesan and my question is, how can they make the chicken so tender? I mean it was really, really tender. The kind of tender you would expect from a high-end Italian restaurant in North Boston (see my Boston north end reviews). Try the CP if you are craving chicken parmesan. We finished with a tray of three small Cannolis and they too reminded us of the North End of Boston. Like Arnold said, "We will be back!". read more

I am so bummed. We decided to go out with our daughter last night and Bella Luna was a place we'd been wanting to try. I think he saw we were a bit frustrated. After hearing them chat a second he became the waiter. Unfortunately it didn't get better. Our bread and drinks finally arrived, but we again were left ignored an extended time before we ever saw him to take our food order. There was an elderly couple who had been in the restaurant when we arrived who also seemed frustrated by the wait for food and service. My husband wanted to leave, but I tried to reassure him that it wouldn't be much longer.. Boy was I wrong. We arrived a little after 8pm by the time we got our food it was nearly 930. My husband was mad and my daughter was half asleep. Service was atrocious. There was no apologies. Food was just OK. My husband, my daughter and I didn't even finish our meals. For the prices you think they would care. I did notice they were quite attentive to what seemed to be regulars, but for the elderly couple behind us, our table among a few others, it was like we are invisible. This place came outta nowhere. It's in a corner of an unassuming strip mall near Litchfield Park. You'd drive right by it and never take a second look. But, get beyond the pinky-tan outer wall and it opens up to a beautiful, romantic patio with high walls. The inside is typical Italian restaurant, but I think the patio is the best. Good Italian food is always elusive. It's not easy to cook perfect pasta, to have homemade dressings, and to concoct a great marinara. But these are the hallmarks of a good Italian restaurant. It's not about "bottomless bread sticks." That's for pedantic gluttons. No, subtlety is the key here and Bella Luna is excellent. Start with crusty, rustic, housemade bread. It is top notch, and served with plain butter, as it should. The entrees here are winners, and all the classics are offered. In particular we loved the chicken picatta and the chicken Parmesan. Both were pounded ultra thin and were tender and flavorful, but subtle. The stars were the sauces. The picatta strikes a great balance with its buttery, capery, lemony bite, but it doesn't scream LEMONS! It's just right. The parm is equally good, with a beautiful breading on the chicken and a saucy, sharp marinara. They add Romano cheese which can be strong so I opt for mozzarella only, but it's your call. The pastas are all perfectly cooked. The marinara is a beautiful, tomato-rich but light sauce. Excellent. Salads are particularly good owing to Bella's house made dressings. The ranch is phenomenal, and the creamy Italian is a garlicky wonder. Just superb. My favorite part might be the bread pudding for dessert. Might be the best I've had; certainly in Arizona. The Tiramisu is particularly good as well. All Told, this is a great place for a quiet date on a spring evening. Excellent food that won't disappoint and will satisfy any craving for really good Italian. The service can be spotty, especially during snowbird season and weekends. I always walk past this place to go to the froyo spot next door. Today God had something else planned for me, let's call a it a Devine intervention if you will. My car unexpectedly broke down right in front. While waiting for my roadside assistance I decided to pop in for some dinner. This was my first time eating alone EVER. All of the employees I interacted with were warm, and welcoming. Service was great. Ambiance was cozy and quiet, which I definitely needed after today's fiasco. It was the Monday-iest Monday ever. What I ordered: Fettuccine Alfredo with peas and pancetta-this was a very nice Alfredo. The sauce was so silky, nicely coated every noodle, and lovely light flavor. Compared to a very famous "Italian" restaurant, rhymes with "Smolive Darden", this puts that recipe to shame. It did not leave me feeling guilty, or like my arteries just clogged from a pound of butter and cream. It just needed a tad touch of salt for MY taste, however I will not dock any points like most people do. I respect a great recipe where you can adjust the salt to your preference. Bruschetta- the toasted bread was so lovely. It had a nice delicate crisp to it, but it retained its softness still which is a perfect balance for me. The tomato topping was fresh. It was a mild flavor, not exactly how I make it. I like to quite literally be punched in the face with onions and garlic. However, much respect to this recipe as well for keeping the ingredients simple and fresh. It was drizzled with a balsamic glaze. I am not sure if this balsamic is made in house, however it is BANGIN. I poured a little extra in the side with olive oil to soak my bread into it. Very yummy! For drinks I had a plain iced tea which was just how I like it and a water. Yes I know, it's "just water" but honestly you can tell a lot about a restaurant by the quality/taste of their water and this one was great. Price was well worth it and within a range I expected. They have a great happy hour with some discounted apps to grab as well which is awesome. I will be returning with my family and I will bug my man for a date night here so I can snag a piece of their tiramisu, my favorite dessert ever! I just had the worst dining experience of my life. Brought my Mother-in-law in for a Mother's Day dinner, we had a 6:30pm reservation and wasn't sat until 7pm. No worries- it was a busy evening. We were sat for 20 minutes before being greeted or offered water. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes to even get bread. We ordered drinks and soda eventually and sodas came flat. We told the server, she came back 15 minutes later saying they replaced the Co2 and sodas were still flat. Food came, was fine. My mother in law was so upset with the whole experience she ended up returning her meal and not eating. She ended the night in tears. We've all been to this restaurant before and have had pleasurable experiences but nobody came and gave us condolences or tried to reconcile. Incredibly disappointed read more

Wow really glad I wasn't swayed by some of these bad reviews! We went here for a birthday dinner as the birthday boy insisted fettuccine Alfredo. He loved it by the way. So we went here. The place is super cute inside not well represented in the online pictures. It was very clean and tidy. Service was superb!!! The waiter was a pro and gentleman and was very good at his job. He was at the pace of people who dine and aren't really there to eat and scram. So do know that it seemed very intentional the pacing. The food was very tasty and they had some interesting dishes. I had scallops and shrimp risotto with broccoli rabe and prosciutto. Fantastic! We had appetizers, dinner, and a piece of really good tiramisu but by that point we were stuffed! We all took leftovers home that the waiter packed all of it and I love that. It was dare I say a class act. If you ordered cocktails there might have been a wait but the soft drinks and beer came out quick as would have wine. My suggestion is to be intentional about spending time with the people you go with and don't go starved and you'll have a lovely evening! We ordered an antipasto board, which was disappointing, and it seemed like the waitress was more attentive to another couple seated directly in front of us. I've been a few times with my family, and a couple times on my own, it's always the same, slow and impersonal. With the exception of the older Sicilian lady, who is often there, pretty sure she is the owner, i'm making the assumption that she is Sicilian, I usually can tell by the accent. Waited for the other server to make martini, which she did find time when she got through serving her customers. Had 2 martini's, both were very weak and not very dirty. Teesy tiny olives without stuffing. Lunch menu was extremely weak. Ordered off dinner menu, entree only no soup or salad. I had to send back my Veal Marsala. The veal and spaghetti was barely warm.
