Just think for a moment about telling a veteran he is either going to lose his PTSD dog he loves or he can pay out over $9000 he doesn't have for unecessary surgery and where that conversation might go south pretty quickly. Incredibly stupid to do that, right?
We were the attempted victims of a fraud of some $9000 for unnecessary surgery procedures on my pet bully dog. My wife was present, witnessed the events, where we were both treated rudely, dismissively, as if we were stupid. I hold a BS, MS, and MPA plus two patents and speak several languages, while my wife holds a BS MS and is also multi lingual in addition to the numerous certifications she needs for her work. I am a veteran, decorated, with major contributions to our country, disabled with numerous injuries including PTSD. My wife is Asian. I cannot think of a reason why we were treated as if we were stupid and why we were insulted and browbeaten, but the Dr. Kemmerly, (we believe, she did not introduce herself) was blond and white, so I might start right there to figure out the reasons for her attempt at fraud of nearly $9,000 and her poor treatment of us.
We told demanded our dog back and undertook care of our pet bully dog Baby ourselves. Within days our dog was jumping around and pawing and acting and running and playing as if nothing had ever happened. Had we agreed with the licensed unprofessionals at Garden State Veterinary Specialists, (Eatontown, NJ), we would have needlessly put Baby our bully dog in danger undergoing major abdominal surgery for no reason at all, other than to help the DVM's pay for their expensive cars (the parking lot was filled with them, cars costing $80,000, $90,0000, and over $100,000) plus their loans and mortgages. No surgery was necessary. That Doctor was there to browbeat customers into performing fraudulent surgeries, using their licenses and educations to defraud customers and saddle them with bills and high interest short term loans.
Neither Kemmerly nor her two assistants identified themselves. They do not wear nametags at Garden State Veterinary, you have zero idea whom you are talking to, this is by design. They are rude, overbearing, and browbeating, all of the personnel there, acting constantly as if they are in a rush and there is no time for discussion. They did not greet us, tell us who they were, what they were going to do, advise us of their qualifications, nothing. Instead they conduct themselves as if they are the sole and true experts and we were to simply follow their recommendations or suffer the consequences, such as death of a beloved pet bully dog named Baby who helps a disabled veteran with his PTSD.
We received no care from Garden State Veterinary, no advice, no counsel. What we got was a disgusting sales pitch where we were being told our dog was going to die without $9000 of dangerous surgery, surgery which easily could have gone wrong from infection, peritonitis, overdosage or underdosage of medication, any one of a dozen or more combinations. That this hi pressure sales pitch was delivered to a highly capable disabled veteran suffering from PTSD made zero impression. This proves the DVM and the personnel I dealt with are incredibly stupid.
Consider such a licensed DVM may, in the future, deliver such a high pressure 'PAY OR DEATH' sales pitch to a disabled combat veteran with severe PTSD who has less education and less discipline and more violent and extreme experiences, and your licensed DVM may in the future suffer the full force and fury of a disabled veteran's wrath by doing something as stupid as what she did with me, delivering a "PAY OR DEATH" hi pressure sales pitch.
