I've been coming here since I was a kid so I brought my Toyota Corolla in after a pretty serious rear-end accident. The rear windshield was completely shattered, the bumper was hanging off, the trunk was misaligned, and the back of the car looked like it might never be the same again. I was honestly stressed and knew that this was a total loss car. When I picked it up, I was shocked by the transformation. The new rear glass was installed perfectly, the trunk lined up correctly, the bumper looked brand new, and the entire rear of the car looked clean and professionally repaired. If I didn't have the "before" photos, I would never guess how extensive the damage was. The shop kept me updated throughout the process, explained the repairs clearly, and returned the car looking far better than I expected. The attention to detail and overall quality of the work gave me a lot of confidence in their craftsmanship. Can't say enough good things about Gardena Collision Center. They replaced the transmission on my 2015 GMC Yukon and it's running better than ever. This is a follow up to an earlier review... I am finding more issues with my car related to used parts they used that were not from the manufacturer, Jeep. The latest issue is the company switched out my fuse box. After three months of repairs, I drove away and my headlight was not working in May. I went back in three times to have this simple repair completed. Not only is this a quality issue, this is a major safety issue. They did not even bother to check the lights before returning the Jeep to me. The fuse box they installed caused my radiator hose to blow out when I used the air conditioner. There was a relay issue with the new fuse box. Don't take your car here with anything other than body work needed to be repaired. Their attention to detail is awful. read more

I read all of the posted reviews prior to taking my car to Gardena Collision. I had the exact opposite experience with this business. they took three weeks longer then promised when repairing my car. They used parts from other cars not even from the same manufacturer. One incorrect part was creating an engine light to go on because it wasn't functioning correctly. They did not check my car at all before I picked it up. I ended up going back three additional times and each time there were more things found that were never repaired. The owner told me he could not find one part and asked me to go to the dealer to find the part. I found it online the next day and purchased it myself. This happened twice. The last time I brought my car in, not only did they not repair the engine light issue, but there was a nail in my tire To their credit, they do above average body work. They also kept on saying i could continue to bring my car back. But, eventually I lost all confidence in the quality of work once another mechanic showed me the incorrect body and electrical parts they used Not fun to write a poor review, but I would not want anyone to experience the poor attention to detail and lack of respect I received. Awesome Asim is now at the helm of this family business aka Prime Complete Auto, in Gardena. I love the fact that GCC is an honest auto repair business, as you know it is rare to find honest mechanics. They have revolutionized my concept of the entire car repair experience. I scratched my car against a wall and it looked pretty bad but Chris fixed it within a couple of hours and I was able to go pick up my car after work. (I dropped it off at lunch) I can hardly tell where the scratch was any more and he also washed my car :) All the communication with him was very smooth after I decided to go with Gardena Body Shop. Chris speaks fluent Japanese so it's also good for Japanese people whose English is not good enough to explain what they want or to negotiate. I had tried a few body shops. But thise did not want to repair the side swipe damage to my 'old' 1985 Ford LTD LX. It is a rare original V8 5.0L HO car and I am very attached to it. Chris happily did it. His crew are great guys too. Chris went out of his way to make this picky guy (me) happy. He wont tell you any BS. I wouldn't recommend anybody to go here, they broke my car and mess up up my electrical. And to top it off there ru Went in to get my wheel barrel change. (Let me mention I went to Honda the day before to get a full diagnostic which is how I knew what I needed... that's all they said was wrong with my car). This shop told me I needed a new thermostat and they'll change the barrel. Once they had my car for 6 hours I had to call in a check on my car because it was getting late, they told me the machine for the wheel arm barrel broke and they weren't able to fix it. After leaving I Literally drove my car down the street and it cut of on me in the middle of the street. (I never had this happen to me before) They managed to get it started and took it back to the shop to see if they can figure out why it cut of because it wasn't my battery. After keeping my car for another 2-3 hours they told me it was just because the computer hasn't reset yet from whatever work they did on it. So after leaving again I drove home and I couldn't turn my car completely off. I called them back and told them what happened, and the guy basically told me that it's his last day, just unplug the battery. I then brought my car back and one of the managers tired to give me attitude and didn't want to work or help me out even though they messed my car up. But eventually an older man came to try to help me They continue to work on my car for two weeks to find the problem and couldn't find the problem they cause. I ended up taking it back to Honda and they said they put a bad fuse or (control something system) which caused the rest of my car fuses to go bad.. on top of that they didn't change the thermostat they charge me for read more

They had the vehicle for a month, charged me for repairs that weren't done. The vehicle came out exactly the same as it went in only difference is I had to pay them for repairs that wasn't asked for. Also repairs that did nothing to resolve the issue. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I decided to call Gardena Body Shop after seeing some local reviews on Yelp. Since I bought a house a year ago in Gardena, I've been trying to support local businesses any time I get an opportunity to do so. After calling a few places, I decided to give Gardena Body Shop a try and boy, I'm glad I did. I broke my driver side, blind spot mirror (2014 Ford Edge) one night at work and I needed it to be repaired, so I called GBS the very next morning and spoke with directly with Chris, which as it turned out, the owner as well. After telling Chris what I had got quoted from the Ford dealership ($600+) for the part, he quickly called around and was able to track down the exact factory part for a fraction of the price. I had to wait a few days (the weekend) as the part needed to be delivered but I was totally okay with it because Chris was able to save me so much money. Chris was able to save me money by using the existing housing the mirror was in. When it was all set and done, I spent a little over $200. The job Chris and his team did was great too. You couldn't even tell anything had happened to the mirror itself. The real thing here is customer service and satisfaction. Chris is such a nice guy and I really felt like he tried to help me rather to upsell me, which is really important to me. Chris was always very attentive and kept me in the loop with pricing and timing. The day I dropped off my car, he even offered to take me to work! (I work in Culver City too, so it's quite a drive with morning traffic) It just doesn't get any better than that. I'm truly grateful for the work and dedication Chris and Gardena Body Shop have towards their customers. You don't see that very often and I'm glad there are still good people out there.
