Nice & Quick It seems a bit wierd to write a review about a Smog Test Center, but the guy here is so efficient and nice I figured he deserves some kind of endoresement. Not to mention he is pretty cheap as well as quick. Whenever anyone asks me about a good place to get a Smog Test, I always send them to Gardena Smog Test.

Was referred here and that was 5 years back. Tests and completed and certification sent to DMV most ever waiting for my and my daughters car was maybe 5 minutes. Close by my work and I highly recommend.

It's in a cut so keep an eye out to your Right..it is past the Corner Lube n Tune automotive and the Tall Storage Quest building. You will miss it if you're going to fast. CASH ONLY!! No Frills. Hooks car up and diagnostic ran. Pull in and out in 15 minutes. Sent to DMV electronically. $50 for a Honda. If Fail you have One Free Retest. Waiting area is DUSTY but what can I expect for an Mom n Pop Automotive center and right next to a BUSY street. Overall decent with the old school couch which was surprisingly soft and comfortable. Very Kind older Asian man who was very friendly with a strong accent. Tight squeeze exiting but doable into an empty side street. I'll definitely come here for all my car smog checks. read more

Literally , in and out in 10 minutes ! (I was the only customer at the time). The older gentleman that helped me , made the whole process a breeze (something a mom can appreciate)! They also offer a free re test if your vehicle doesn't pass! If I ever need a smog again , I know where to go. read more

We just moved to Gardena and this was the first year my car required an emissions test to renew registration. I kept putting off getting it done because I thought it would take a long time. So glad I found Gardena Smog because it was right down the street and I was in and out in 15 minutes. The owner was friendly, service was great, and I could not be happier. Went today for a Smog test and chose this place based on it being Veteran-owned and it being the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. Not only was the place absolutely filthy, but the person working there was definitely not a Vet. When I asked him about his service, he had absolutely no idea what that meant. Will not be going back. read more

I wasn't told that I had to pay cash. I didn't have cash. It was $50. They did the SMOG check and when it was time to pay, I couldn't pay. They didn't take cards so they said to go to the bank, get cash, and come back. The line at the bank was really long. The SMOG check place held onto the DMV paper. read more

Great shop for smog tests and certificates. I called on a Saturday morning for prices and time estimates and was there a few minutes later. Two people ahead of me and was out of there with 30 min at most! I called around and price was relatively good. Great customer service. read more

Wow. I came here because it had good reviews. This smog place has good reviews because it's amazing. The guy is friendly and easy to do business with. The waiting room is comfy and he was FAST. Explained everything and had me out of there in TEN MINUTES. Least painful smog experience I've ever had. read more

I go to the smog mechanic next store to fix my engine light problem. The mechanic next store said bring your 2001 Jeep Cherokee to the Gardena Smog Test only center it should pass no problem. So I have my 2001 vehicle for smog inspection test by Poon tang tan, He hooks me up to the computer, I appear to pass all diagnostics. He lifts my hood does something, then he proceeds to "gun" the engine and screams " YOU FAAAIIILLLLLLOOO" See Da SMOOOOE. You FAIL THe Smoke test You pay me $ 41.00 Dollar now!!!!! You fik and come back in 30 day for free inspection. I later find out from my mechanic in Burbank that my 2001 vehicle does not get tested for the smoke test. Poon Tang Tan is an idiot and will unknowingly rip you off. DEFINITELY DON'T BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE TO GET CHECKED!!!!!! read more

I made an appointment through their website, very user friendly, and received a confirmation text shortly after. I decided I needed to modify my appointment, there didn't seem to be an option to do it on the website, so I texted the number back and asked to change my appointment, this was done quickly without issues. I arrived to my appointment 10 mins early. Dru was very helpful, friendly and professional. He entered my car's info into the system, and once my car passed the smog check, everything was updated and entered into the system already so that when I pay my registration, the DMV (or in my case, AAA) will see that my car passed the smog test. In case the system isn't updated, I was provided with a hard copy certificate to prove that it passed. My entire appointment took 10mins altogether, can't beat that! Pricing was fair and affordable, depends on the year of your car. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick smog check station.

I had my Ford Excursion rebuilt rear differential with Detroit locker and 4.88 gears. Front axle conversion to a Dana 60, Dynatrac solid ball joints, Timken Wheel bearings, Eaton truetrac differential and 4.88 gears new u-joints. Transfer case fluid change. Install of 8 piston brakes all around with stainless steel lines from SSBC. Coming back for for a BDS 10" Lift, Fox Struts and longer SS Brake lines. Possibly a PCS Steering Ram assist I highly recommend them. They have a customer for life now.
