I had a pair of men's slacks (part of a suit) dry cleaned. I also had a men's white dress shirt washed and pressed. They asked if I wanted starch. They offered light, medium and heavy starch so I went with medium. All this for a great value priced at $10.50 out the door. Dropped off on Tuesday afternoon and it was ready Friday afternoon. This is a local small family owned business. I recommend going here. I have been once before to have the seam of a men's jumpsuit mended. Great price and the mend is holding up six months later. Be prepared to walk a half block as the parking is not ideal. Just notating this in case anyone thinking of coming may need to understand the parking conditions. read more

They don't stick to their word I came here to bring my clothes and the lady said $45 then when I was ready to pick up my clothes I got there and the lady at front desk was being rude to asking me about some number I couldn't understand her and I tried to talk to her in Spanish but apparently she couldn't understand me either so they need to either hire someone that knows what they are doing or learn both languages because this is unacceptable very bad customer service and also when I was going to pay she switched it up saying it's a different price when she told me at first it was going to be $45 read more

I just paid 75.00$ to have 3 cotton T-shirts sleeves shortened. Nothing against the woman who works hard doing the alterations but this was way too much to pay for her labor. This was robbery.. I had to pay it or leave my shirts behind. I questioned the price and voiced my concern to the owner but was told " times have changed." I'll not return for dry cleaning or alterations. I brought a Cream-colored Holiday Overcoat to be cleaned and pressed. I let them know that they previously pressed this same coat incorrectly, the lady didn't want to hear that and kept commenting on the stains. I replied, "yes there are stains and that's one of the reasons I am bring this to be cleaned". She gave me a day to pick up and charged $45, way more than before, when I mentioned the price, she dropped it $10. I came back to pick up; my coat wasn't ready and she said the solution used for the stains left a yellow color. There was nothing I could do at that point since I was flying out in a few days. I picked the coat, but most likely will not be going back for their service. Unfortunately, there are not many dry cleaners in Manteca, to their advantage in pricing. read more

I bring my dry cleaning here when I need to and I feel that the price is very reasonable! The turn around time is also faily quick. They are always polite and kind when I go in. My only complaint is the parking. There is hardly any in the front of the building, so I usually have to park behind and walk around. This is very miniscule but something to consider. I brought in a skirt with a zipper to be replaced. When I got it back the zipper stuck and would have to be really forced to work. I brought it back and was told the lady who did alterations was out of town, come back the following week. I went back the following week and she was still out of town. I brought it back again and dropped it off. I picked it up 3 weeks later and it had the same problem. I don't even think they did anything. The lady argued with me and said she could zip up and down. Well she is correct if you want to force it everytime it is used and most likely eventually it would break or rip the fabric. I finally just said, "forget it, I am not happy." The worst part is they didn't even try to apologize, offer a discount, or anything to help the situation. They are fine for cleaners, but think twice if you need alterations. I will never go back there again, but it doesn't matter, they could care less!! read more

requested three alterations to my bridesmaid dress, took them over a month to do it and then when they did finish it, it wasn't finished at all. They were supposed to put a corset in the back so that it would fit me and that Service wasn't even done I couldn't even button my dress so I had to bring it back to them. They were rude as F. this seamstresses charge you whatever they want they have no rhyme or reason two of the same bridesmaid dresses both cost different amounts made no sense. I went to get a gray suit dry cleaned that had ketchup spilled on it. I informed them that the stain needed to be spotted and when I picked it up it was still there. I understand that stains can't always be gotten out, but they didn't offer to try and get it out again or anything. I said I thought it was ridiculous to have to pay $18 to get a dirty suit back from the cleaners and she RUDELY said they did their job. I haven't been here for years, but was visiting from out of town and thought I'd give them another try. Used to take my clothes here. Took my twins prom dresses here to be altered. Told it would be about $30 a piece to alter them, was told later would be $90 a piece. After several trips back to check the dresses one was not done right and when I told them to fix it they said it would be more money. I refused to pay more money and one of the dresses was not altered correctly after several trips back. Paid $80 for one dress and $90 for the other. The employee attitudes were absolutely terrible, and this after I told them the place I bought the dresses from told me to get them altered in Tracy. I told them I did not go to Tracy because I live in Manteca and want to support Manteca businesses. Big mistake, one dress was ruined and I should have went to Tracy. My first Yelp review because I had a horrible experience. I brought shorts in and told them only to sew not cut because I needed a slight alteration. I picked it up and it was cut and uneven at that. In addition, the sewing was terrible. The communication was also bad. As I try to explain how I wanted my shorts she basically didn't want to hear it but I needed it done asap so I left it with them. I never got a call once it was ready and when I gave them a call few days after when it should've been finished the lady hung up so I decided to go in immediately and pick it up. NEVER AGAIN. I bought my daughter's white cocktail dress to Garibay's to get dry cleaned. I told them that she spilled cranberry vodka on it and asked if they could remove the stain. When I went to pick it up the stain was still there. She said she would try to remove it again. When I returned the next day the stain was still there. They could not remove it. I paid them $8 for trying. I decided to bring the dress Mainz Cleaners. 3 days later I picked up the dress and the stain was gone. If you want a stain removed take it to Mainz Cleaners not Garibay's. read more

Used to love this place, always took my husbands uniforms for work and my daughters cheer uniform for cleaning...today I took in her new uniform (more bling than the last one) and the lady working told me to take it home and wash it because of the bling on the uniform "she wouldn't be able to dry clean it, the diamonds might come off." I had to argue with her that I've been taking the uniform here to be cleaned and nobody has ever said anything. I should have taken it somewhere else but I don't have much time to get the lipstick stain off the arm so I left it. I will not be going back. Thanks to the nice ladies that run the place, I had a pleasant experience in my initiation to the world of dry cleaners. Months ago, I had been looking for a local place to take in my new sports coat; for I had drenched it in sweat while acting and directing my student film for several days in downtown Stockton. I never really had a reason to go to the dry cleaners. I came from a grittier blue collar tradition. When I worked in professions that required above business casual, I was of the faction of those that believed in "wrinkle free" cotton garments and took it upon myself to iron my khaki pants. My nicer stuff never really lasted long because of the manner that I washed and dried them. And whenever I had a neck tie that became too worn or stained with sauce, I merely tossed it to the side in my growing collection of old ties and simply just bought new ties. Well, times are tougher now since those times I worked in the mortgage industry. I still have a bunch of those ties and some of them are designer name brands. With this new job coming up, I was gonna need a whole new platoon of ties. Fortunately, I found it cost effective to just dry clean some of the ones that I already have for now and they came out as good as new. I WAS VERY PLEASED!!!! What makes a good business is the people. The young lady was very welcoming and I did not feel judged or need to explain when I first brought in my stinky jacket. Also, my second set of ties were by far not among my favorite that i salvaged from my move back home to the area....so I had procrastinated and thus picking them up was put on the back burner. And although I came back after the 30 day period ( the period which dry cleaning businesses normally use to protect themselves from abandoned garments) , my ties were still there. I am very pleased with the service and their flexibility. I had been referred to this place by one of the family members while in line at the coffee shop. This place is a family business and certainly has the charm of what a small mom and pop shop should be about. If I am looking for warm, friendly, and family oriented service, I am definitely coming again. I'd disregard the negative reviews below. Those customers probably just had a bad day. God bless them. As far as I am concerned, the ladies were multi lingual and spoke English very fluently. And besides, This is California people; English is not the only language that a person should know. Get over it! People all over the world on average know several languages including english. Manteca is a Portuguese town with a sizable Mexican American community like most of California. Brought in 14 pieces, went to pick them up, one of the wrapped pieces was not mine..they had to go in to another persons wrapped dry cleaning & found my piece just waiting to go to the wrong person! Then the beading on one of my shirts was missing, she said it had come off in the machine, ummm.. That's why I dry clean detailed shirts so they don't get ruined. There was no apology, granted, there was a language barrier but I felt completely ripped off still paying for all 14 pieces, one ruined & one lost then found piece... I dropped my suit off on the morning of 7-30 to have buttons changed on the sleeve and to have dry cleaned. I informed them I needed back the next day in the afternoon because I was flying out the next day to attend a funeral and they informed me it would be ready at noon on 7-31. When I arrived about 3:30 my suit was dry cleaned but buttons weren't replaced. The excuse was not enough time but they refused to call me to inform. Extremely overpriced and they lied! All I needed was to have 11 pieces pressed, not cleaned and it was $60. When I dropped off the items I was told $44 to which she had no explanation for the price change. Only went here because French Cleaners was closed; she is my typical place, but she was closed for the Holiday. I am charged $40 max when I drop off my typical bag of 16 items and that includes washing and pressing. Not to mention the better customer service. read more

I came it with two suits. One is a three piece and the other is a two piece. I asked how much and she told me $17. Great! So I went to pick them up today and she said $29. I said no, you told me $17. (I only had $20 on me anyways). Then she went off saying that she remembered me and that she never told me 17. That I was wrong. She said she's been charging $12 per suit for 7 years. I told her I don't care if she's been charging that for 7 years. It was my first time there and obviously didn't know her prices. I pulled on two more dollars from my bag and told her that's all I had. She said you only take one suit then. I said no you told me it was $17. Then some little girl comes saying that it's our responsibility to know the prices. I was like wtf that's YOUR job to inform the customer. She told me it was going to be 17.... She yelled at me to leave. So I grabbed my suits and said this is ridiculous.
