Yikes. My last review was 3 years ago. Visited end of February and it was a totally different experience. The food was so bad. Had to remove the white looking pork from my Cuban sandwich it smelled and tasted horrible. Husband ordered a barbecue sandwich tasted like a microwavable Lloyd's barbecue. I was excited to try this place after seeing the cocktail menu online. The ambiance did not meet expectations. The interior was a bit run down - it looks more like a dive bar than a high-end cocktail lounge. In and of itself, that would not have been a huge deal. But the service was also very slow. We waited about 15 minutes to place a cocktail order. They were out of the ingredients for my first choice and had to substitute something different in my second choice cocktail. Then, we waited an additional 15 minutes for our drinks. The bar was not particularly crowded, either. Lastly, an additional dollar was added to my tip amount. :( I would not return. read more

I'm a big fan of the Po'Boy dinner, but the pulled pork tots with pimento cheese is my #1 favorite. Staff is all knowledgeable and friendly. Best cocktails in town, no joke. Try the Classic Old Fashioned (unless you're one of those soda water people - I won't judge). Bar itself holds a lot of history. It used to be the Elks. Lots of bar seating. A little calmer than other bars. A few tvs and jukebox. Second room is pretty quiet if you want a little more privacy for your group. read more

Odd little place. Looks cool from the outside. Inside it had more of a dive bar feel. That being said, the New Orleans style food was good. Hubby got etouffe and liked it. I got the tots with pulled bbq and pimento cheese. Bartender was super nice. read more

The food wasn't bad, I enjoyed the selection. Good bang for your buck--they don't skimp on cheese or pulled pork. My husband and I had the loaded tater tots, a pulled pork hot dog, and sweet potato fries. I would have never guessed how good pimento cheese would be on tots or with pulled pork for that matter. But there it is, calling me back. The fried green tomatoes are also amaze balls. The place is cozy, the bar is sturdy, and the whiskey is plentiful. I always find something new to try when I walk in. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about what they stock. The food is good and, in my opinion, filling. The beer selection isn't great, but this is a bourbon bar. It is to be expected. It can get pricey very quickly, but it's a bourbon bar. Good liquor doesn't come cheap. I enjoy coming in and making small talk with patrons or the staff. I enjoy running some tunes on the jukebox as well. I wouldn't spend as much money anywhere else, but I wouldn't get my money's worth anywhere else either. It's a fine place to knock a few back and have a decent conversation. Slightly disappointing. For a bourbon bar I was hoping for a more exciting pour list. Didn't see anything behind the bar I hadn't see before and everything you can surely get at most liquor stores. Was hoping for a more high end selection, I guess. Had the catfish sandwich. Was just a piece of fish on a bun bigger than the fish. I'd suggest adding some onions and pickles to it. Put some fixins on it. They're new, so I don't want to be too harsh, but definitely got some work to do. I'll be back in due time. Hopefully they can make adjustments. And my $0.02, if you're gunna serve pub/fried food have French Fries. Most people probably prefer French Fries over Tater Tots. read more

Good whisky, sleazy atmosphere. I was really excited to see Franklin get a cocktail bar with a good whisky selection but every time I was in there I noticed a regular hitting on women about half his age. After seeing him drooling over one of the waitresses all night I finally said something to a bartender and they mentioned it was the owner! Asking around he used to be the GM at (the now defunct) River Town winery where he maintained an equally toxic environment towards women. read more

Great new whiskey bar! In a solid location in the heart of downtown Franklin. The environment is great and the staff is super friendly. They have an incredible selection of whiskey with better prices than just about anywhere in the area. Lack of service. Fried okra was good but otherwise Food was unexceptional. Not anything like the newspapers stated. No Sinatra music or great atmosphere. More of a neighborhood bar with TV and a large selection of hard liquor. Will not return. read more

Very disappointed in food and service. The menu advertised $11 for a fish sandwich, 1 side and a hoe cake which sounded a little pricey but I thought perhaps the portions would be worth it. Our food arrived (without silverware) and my first thought was "this looks like a school lunch". Actually, the elementary serving sizes my students receive at school are quite larger for a fraction of the cost. After a couple of minutes eating and analyzing my meal I realized we were all MISSING our hoe cakes. So I flagged down the server who immediately told us that they were out. First of all, if he and everyone else knew they were out (before the first rush of Friday dinner) all servers should have been up front about that when people ordered their food. Secondly, something should have been given as an alternative at the $11+ price point. However, we were not told and were not given options even after asking directly about getting something else or having the price adjusted. Nothing was done nor did it appear any effort had been made to make it right. I begrudgingly finished my "meal" and asked my dinner crew where they would like to have a 2nd dinner since none of us left satisfied. I had planned on ordering a drink halfway through my meal but it didn't last that long and I wasn't about to give more money to the establishment. read more

My drink was tasty, but everything else was super weird. The space still looks like old Elk's Club, minus the wallpaper. The owner waited on us. Although I think his intention was to give good service, it just came off as overbearing and uncomfortable. We did not eat, so I can't speak about the food. Awesome place to be, its a small place but nothing like it in the are by far. Food is a bit more pricey then other places around but the atmosphere and liquor selection is what sells the place and is worth the little bit extra. Not a college bar, not a membership only bar, not really setup for family but family friendly bar, not a dedicated biker bar, its a great place to hang out with great people in the area from all sorts of backgrounds and affiliations. read more
