Went to the 1933 Lounge for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had the opportunity of sitting in the outdoor dinning area. The ambiance was great and added to the experience. I had the Executive lunch (3 shrimp cocktail, 2 sliders and a side salad) which was great! Our server was great, on top of everything and quite friendly. She was VERY knowledgeable of the menu and specials. We really appreciated her approach & follow-up. I wanted to celebrate my birthday by going to a nice restaurant with GOOD food and service. The 1933 Lounge and Restaurant did not disappoint. We were graciously greeted by two pleasant hosts and shown to our table after a short wait. As soon as we were seated, I was given a birthday card and well wishes. Shortly after, our waiter, Eric, came by to introduce himself. He wished me a happy birthday, told me to save room for dessert because it was on him and then proceeded to tell us about the history of the restaurant, the food they specialize in, the night specials, and his recommendations before taking our drink order. Eric really made the night special for me with his professionalism and obvious pride in the restaurant. He is truly top notch and we will ask to be seated in his section when we return and I highly recommend him if you desire great service. Now the food... Eric recommended the Oyster Rockefeller and Calamari for starters. They were both delicious! For entrees, I had the prime strip steak, fries, and Caesar salad. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and seasoned just right. The sides were good as well. My husband had the ribeye, mashed potatoes, navy bean soup, and wedge salad. His steak was cooked to perfection and he absolutely loved his chosen sides. My daughter had the king crab sushi roll, which she rated a 7/10. Now, on to dessert. Eric told us his favorite is the key lime pie. I love a good key lime pie so I ordered it. In fact, I always order key lime pie if it's on the menu where ever we dine. Of all the pies I've had in recent years, it was the truly the best with perfectly balanced key lime with a brûlée-d top. My daughter had the coconut cream pie and my husband had the bread pudding. Omgoodness. The best experience. The BEST. We took our baby boy for his 21st birthday. What a great decision this was. The drinks - so good. The food - so tasty. The service - exceptional. We ordered the lemon drop martini, Elmo Cola, the Gatsby and liquid love affair. I asked for the liquid love affair to have a very light pour of alcohol and they obliged. Everyone loved their drinks. Even me. And I am NOT a drinker. We ordered shrimp cocktails, lobster bisque, steaks and lobster. Everything so good. My son's steak was overdone but they happily remade it and ALL the sides that came with it. Just immaculate service. We also ordered the chocolate mousse pie. We asked our server to place the candles we had brought on top. Lemme tell you. The service. Just so good. She realized they were sparkler candles so she waited to light it until she was at our table. We did ask the manager if we could present our son his gift during dinner. It was a firearm and we didn't wanna cause any drama or "unsafe" feelings even though, obvi, it wouldn't have been loaded. We did want to respect the establishment and their other patrons. I attended the margarita class and it was so fun!! Firstly, I had vent really heard a lot about these classes but a friend invited me to attend and so glad she did. The event takes place on the patio area, it's small and intimate. It is great for networking and mingling and making new connections. The staff was absolutely amazing and engaged with the crowd the entire night. I felt the vibe that they really love their job. They don't let you know about the menu prior to , which I was a bit apprehensive about but it turned out great! For starters we had some chunky guac, watermelon pico, and some kind of verde salsa with chips. 10/10! The Watermelon pico was new to me and very refreshing!! Next we had some steak fajitas with rice. I was not a fan of the rice and the steak wasn't seasoned to my liking but still a good dish! Lastly we had dessert that put me in the mind of being at the state fair. It was a pastry fried (think like funnel cake taste) and fruit ...so yummy! Now the margaritas! Food and Drink: Tonight I had the shrimp cocktail, a few drinks, and the bread pudding. As expected, the shrimp cocktail hit the spot and the sauce is SPICY! It will open up your nostrils and sinuses! I advise anyone to proceed with caution but I love the heat. The drinks were well made, amazing fruit flavor and gave the buzz I was looking for. The bread pudding was very sweet and the balance between it and the ice cream melting on top of it was definitely something to enjoy for an end of night treat. I always love going into 1933 Lounge (any location) and having great wine, food, catching up with friends, having a date night, or stopping in for a night cap. The swanky, speakeasy vibes make it feel very intimate, although seating can be a little close for comfort in some areas and it can easily get loud with nearby conversations. On a quieter weeknight it is the perfect place for a dinner to catch up on juicy gossip with your friends, which was the reason for my most recent visit. They have a great Caesar salad that I always add salmon to. They give you a very large portion of salmon for your money, which I really appreciate. Lots of freshly shaved Parmesan on the salad as well. Their wine list is extensive and we usually try something new every time we stop in. They have great cocktails as well if wine isn't your thing. Servers are always nice and don't overcrowd you with checking in too frequently, which is very appreciated when you're deep in a conversation. I placed a carry-out order today for lunch using a gift card that my husband received at work (for being great at what he does)! The thought of being able to have such a decadent and delicious meal really did put a cherry on my Monday. Unfortunately, their online ordering was turned off. I received a message stating that the location was not accepting online orders at this time. So, I left work to run an errand prior to picking up my order. I called from the car and was on hold for 7-8 minutes prior to being able to place my order. I was then quoted 20-25 minutes before the order would be ready for pick-up. I should've placed the order prior to punching out for lunch, because that wait time (combined with the hold time on the phone) was going to put me over on my lunch break. When I picked up the order, the young woman at the host stand had my order ready and kindly assisted me with using my gift card, as well as an additional form of payment, to settle up. She passed me the card machine to sign and assured me that there was no pressure to tip, since that option was on the screen as well. When I returned to the office with my food, I was bummed to discover that there were no napkins or utensils in the bag. Luckily, I had some in my desk. I ordered The Executive Lunch Combo, which comes with a 3pc order of St. Elmo's Shrimp Cocktail, your choice of two sliders or grilled salmon, and your choice of French fries or a Caesar salad. I opted for the salmon and Caesar salad. I also ordered a side of Hot Honey Carrots w/ Ricotta. The food did not disappoint. That horseradish-heavy cocktail sauce really opens up your nasal passages, and the salmon was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I added the salmon to the top of my Caesar salad and it was a pairing made for the gods. I haven't eaten the carrots yet, but at first glance, I can say that they aren't what I expected. I thought there would be dollops of ricotta, but the carrots appear to be swimming in a lake of ricotta. I'm still looking forward to trying them. I didn't dine-in, so I can't really comment on today's ambiance, but I have been here before and the atmosphere is laid-back luxury. Excellent experience here on a Monday evening. We found parking nearby. The restaurant was very busy, and even though we arrived without a reservation we were able to be seated. Very nice atmosphere. The dining room is attractive, and there is a separate, private dining room as well. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, and grilled salmon. My friend ordered calamari, sliders, and heirloom carrots. Service was excellent! Our server Nick was outstanding. He kept our water glasses filled, made great recommendations, and checked on us just the right amount of times at perfect intervals. My grilled salmon was absolutely perfect. Made a reservation for a business lunch. While the food and service were very good, the entire experience was ruined as we were swarmed by flies. They were everywhere and it was really gross... flying in our faces, landing on drinks and food. We were at a table inside their dining room, not outside! When we mentioned the issue to a hostess, we were told that they have been dealing with this concern for a while and it seems to be particularly bad in the area we were seated. Then she walked off. No apology. It was just a weird and awkward explanation. Why would you seat a reserved business lunch in this area when the restaurant was not full?!?! My friends and I came here for an annual get together and enjoyed 1933 Lounge so much! Our server was extremely knowledgeable and had amazing energy, which amplified the experience. It was crowded, given it was a Saturday night, but I am grateful that the tables aren't stacked on top of each other like some other places. We felt like we weren't on top of the guests near us despite being in the middle of the dining room. There's tons of cool decor and wallpaper throughout, amplifying the atmosphere. The drinks were strong and our server gave me some great suggestions! 1933 even has a select reserve bourbon exclusive to them! As a pescatarian, I opted for the grouper sandwich. By far this was the best fish sandwich I have had in a long time! I also enjoyed a classic Caesar salad and spinach artichoke dip. They are known for the shrimp cocktail, but due to allergies we did not plan to indulge. This has been our go-to date night spot for a long time, and for good reason. We love the 21+ atmosphere, especially since it's one of the few nice places open between lunch and dinner peak hours. Our usual game plan is a mix of appetizers and cocktails--the 1902 roll is a must every time, and we rotate through other favorites like the mussels, sliders, meatballs, and prime rib. This last visit was no exception on the food front--it was just as good as always. The cocktails, however, missed the mark for me this time. I ordered a lemon drop martini, and instead of a clean sugar rim, the glass was coated in a messy layer of sugar that dripped down the stem. I actually had to get up mid-drink to wash my hands because there was no way to hold it without getting sticky. My next two cocktails came with clean rims, which I'll definitely request going forward. Still love this place, but I hope the bar pays closer attention to presentation next time. read more

We ordered the waygu meatball for the appetizer, grilled salmon and prime rib for entrees, and ended with cocktails. The meatball had a kick to it, but it was just the right amount. The food and service at the 1933 Lounge is impeccable! The steaks are perfectly seasoned and cooked. The crème brûlée corn is a must try. It's so unique and delicious. I highly recommend. The sautéed mushroom and heirloom carrots are also outstanding. The Caesar salad was very good. I would choose that or the navy bean soup over the lobster bisque. The bisque is not great especially compared to the other outstanding items on the menu. They really need to change up the bisque. I had the king crab grilled cheese. I didn't like it but it was totally me, not the sandwich. My friend took it home and really enjoyed it. I also highly recommend the filet slider. It is delicious. Personally I like the Fishers location (this review) better than the new Carmel location (previous review). We were able to talk to each other without shouting like we did in Carmel. It was very loud there. I think 1933 Lounge is a fun place to have dinner for a date night or out with friends. The cocktails are top notch as well. Also their iced tea is amazing. We went for a work celebration so there were 8 of us. It was during Devour week and it was a mix of devour and regular menu orders. I tried the fish for the first time. Though we didn't have a reservation (St. Paddy's day) they sat us in the lounge. It was perfect. I ordered the bread pudding which was heaven on top of heaven. They had me at the whipped cream alone. 1933 Lounge is a sister restaurant to St. Elmo's located at the Fishers District. St. Ellis is located in downtown Indy and both locations are known for their shrimp cocktail appetizer. We made reservations for 1:30 pm and arrived about 15 minutes early and they seated us almost immediately. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated in the outdoor patio. I started with the Navy Bean Soup: white beans carrots and a bit of bacon. The soup was very hearty and savory. I ordered the salmon for my entrée. The salmon was prepared medium and served with a remoulade sauce on the side. The salmon was cooked to perfection and really needed no sauce. The mashed potatoes were prepared with the skins in them and could have very well served two people. Overall, this was a great dining experience. read more
