I must say the office is outstanding. For her first visit she was put through many detailed technologically advanced diagnostic testing, they checked everything from peripheral vision, to multiple scans on the back of the eye, and the front. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain in detail what every test was and why it's important to check for glaucoma and other eye diseases. Then we met Dr. Mendelsohn, he was a very thoughtful and insightful physician. He explained in great detail that my mom had developed cataracts and recommended surgery that should done with laser and a new state of the art Panoptix Pro lens. He took his time explaining the process of cataract surgery and we went forward with it. Dr. Alec Chaleff was the cataract surgeon for the practice and he was nothing but a miracle worker. He restored my mom's vision to the point she can see very small details and things far away without glasses. I couldn't be happier that my mom did cataract surgery with Dr. Mendelsohn and Dr. Chaleff. Highly recommend everyone to do cataract surgery with this office.

They said the side effects when only last 20 minutes. Anyways at the end of the visit they gave me two options for cataract surgery $5,000 for one lens and $10,000 for two lens. It was a big surprise and I had no idea I would have to go get a loan. I called them later to see if they could do standard cataract surgery and they said no. When I left their office I was blind they gave me some kind of sunglasses to put on. I had to make two stops on the way home because I couldn't see at all and I asked people for directions how to get home I asked four people people and nobody had the answer To get to Hiatus Road from Sheridan Street I didn't get home until after 7 30 PM that night I had quite a panic attack trying to make it home. He has wonderful reviews he's a great surgeon but they would not help me at all to have standard cataract surgery. I'm very disappointed. Plus my medicare benefits have been quite reduced by the presidential Administration in the United States

Welp - Looks like I need to find a new eye doctor!…read more On February 20, I visited Eye Associates of Hollywood and saw Dr. Garcia. She was great, kind, energetic, and finally gave me a diagnosis that explained what had been going on with my eyes. I felt hopeful after that visit. After completing the 10-day treatment, my eyes were better still not right after I stopped. I called the office on March 11 and left a voicemail. I eventually received a call back and was told to continue treatment and come back in sooner, so I scheduled a follow-up for March 30. I also asked for a refill on my eye drops and was told it would be called into my pharmacy. That never happened. I called again and left another voicemail. No response. I waited about a week, called again, and still no response and no prescription called in. At that point, I had no way to continue the treatment I was told to follow and my follow up appt was approaching. Today, Friday March 27, I received a call from Jose asking if I was keeping my Monday March 30 appointment. I explained the situation and said that would depend on the doctor wants, since I had not been able to continue treatment due to the prescription never being sent in. Instead of addressing the issue, he repeatedly asked if I wanted to cancel. When I asked about the cancellation policy, he said there would be a fee if not within 24 hours, so I told him to cancel. When I asked for his name, he avoided answering and kept talking. I had to ask multiple times before he finally said his name was Jose and started spelling it even though I didn't ask for it. The interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily frustrating. I'm not going to lie, he pissed me off. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. The doctor seemed great - although I didn't know my condition was chronic until I looked it up on the internet. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and unprofessional front office experience completely undermined the care. It is unacceptable to leave a patient without access to prescribed treatment and then push them to keep an appointment anyway. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately the practice has lost the emphasis on medicine and shifted to business. I was scheduled for my annual exam and received a text message 10 days prior requesting that I confirm. I confirmed. I received a second message requesting that I confirm. I confirmed. Scheduled for 9:30, I arrived at 9:00 and electronically checked in. Fifteen minutes later I was told that the Doctor was no longer with the practice. I asked if I could be seen by another doctor and was politely, coolly, and indifferently told- NO. Tried to reach the office manager by phone-IMPOSSIBLE. IT IS A BUSINESS AND IF THEY COULD DO IT WITH ROBOTS AND AI INSTEAD OF PHYSICIANS, THEY WOULD. Where has the professionalism, courtesy, compassion and concern andf Drs Duffner and Jones gone? H. ALLAN TUCKER

I have been to 5 different eye institutes ranging from optometrists to ophthalmology over the past 3 years with the complaint of cloudy vision following artificial lens implants (including the practice who implanted the lenses) and was always dismissed and misdiagnosed. Today - I felt heard and understood and was reassured that what I was experiencing was valid. They put me through a ton of different exams and reassured me that the implants were ok and I didn't need glasses or contacts and they put collagen plugs in my tear ducts right then and there and my vision is already almost perfect. They also offered me a follow up appointment with other options of this doesn't clear my issue. I am also a physician and understand how important "hearing " a patient is- and I was heard and understood and I am so grateful and happy for this amazing group of physicians and staff. I will be referring my patients to Eye Surgeons & Consultants- because not only are they amazing- THEY CARE!!! Thank u thank u thank u

I was sent an email reminder for "my" appointment. The email contained my first name and the time…read moreand date of the upcoming appointment. The issue is, I never made an appointment and have no idea who these doctors are and how they got my information. I sent them a message asking them to correct their information. The next thing I know, I receive a survey thanking me for the visit (which obviously didn't occur) and asking me to complete the survey. Again, I sent a message asking them to look in to this issue. I never received any response. They then sent a notification another appointment was set up. I sent another message asking them to contact me as to why this is happening when I'm not their patient. They never responded. I received another reminder today and asked for a response which I'm still waiting for. I'm concerned that they may have billed Medicare under my information without me seeing them, or someone is using my information. I have repeatedly asked them to email me how this has happened as I want the information in written form and the last thing I want to do is give them my phone number to call me back and add that to their documentation. I would be concerned to go to this office due to not only this error, but the lack of communication on their part to correct this error.

To the Yelp readers. I am flabbergasted by the last…read morecomments and only 5 out of 7 comments made. Let's do a reality check. Thank you to the 2 positive reviews. I am in agreement there is a problem w/members of the staff (they are the front line -they are good at what they do however a little refresher in public/patient relations is in order) that's when one takes ownership and asks for the doctor call you back direct. Let's remember quality vs quantity. Dr. Braverman is excellent in his field. As he does have ancillary employees, it's a sign of his quality and teachings. Not incompetent in any way, knows what he is doing with out a doubt. Do your research Dr. Braverman is TOP in his field in the state of Florida, New York and the Country.... The Dr. Has written so much he is a skilled clinician as well as an accomplished educator. Not only is one anxious when making these life changing decision one is also in someone else's hands. And for one I am happy to be a witness to such a unique and rare eye condition in the presence of an expert. And fortune to find the authority in Rare Eye Conditions. (Toxoplasmosis) for My dear Friend, Patient Thomas J. Murray I witness nothing but exemplary patient care. In such a serious matter. The doctor saved Mr. Murray's Retina. 14 years later here we are to present. Mr. Murray has returned do to a partially detach cornea related to a bad contact lens experience. Bravo-Dr. Braverman, you have saved his eye again. In closing, if for some reason you are having a financial problem, a treatment problem, or are not following the doctors immaculate treatment orders. STOP don't complain, speak with the Doctor... If by now one does not know waiting will take place in a waiting room, then I can say, you don't want a doctor to pay attention to your very unique and medically over all health!! I will sign this Honest Review, Sir Lazaro R. Oliver.

Due to that, I've had to reschedule to see my doctor. There's more, but too much to text. Then when questioned about their errors, they deny it, and their attitudes change for the worse. I've been seeing my eye doctor for years and hate to change due to the incompetence of staff. I'll continue to go there and deal with stupidity. First, I'll call them out to the doctors to let them know what's going on.
