Not even an apology for an ass backwards policy? Maybe replace the "can't" with "won't" because you certainly were capable of replacing it but chose not to do so. I ordered a stuffed quahog and some clam cakes. They were having a problem with their POS tablet and I didn't have cash. The owner was willing to give me the meal for free, which was CRAZY generous (I woulda stopped by the next time I was in the area anyways) but thankfully they got it working eventually. The stuffie was a solid, whaler style stuffie. No complaints there. The clam cakes were cooked perfectly, hot and crispy, and had a lot of clam pieces in them. They were on the dense side, which I prefer. I'm definitely planning more bike rides out to acushnet so I can eat here again!

I do wish my bowl was filled a little more. Part of the fun of ordering ice cream is when they hand you the cup (or cone) and it's overflowing. Nice outdoor seating. We went around 8:30 on a Monday night and there was no wait to order. Here's a tip: BYOS- bring your own spoon. Of course they give you a spoon, but it's so flimsy and bendy, I couldn't dig into the ice cream. This isn't anything against Dockside-- it seems the last few places I've been are also saving money by going with very cheap spoons.
