Kayem Old Tyme Franks are a decent hot dog, but adding a little bit of meat sauce and a sprinkle of onions does not make it a wiener.

Apparently, the place just changed hands in the past month or two. Inside it looks about the same although the menu has changed somewhat. I can't determine what was added or deleted, but it just strikes me as a different menu. I got two dogs all the way without onion in order of fries and a coffee milk The fries came out and my shoestring, which are not exactly my favorite type of fry, but they were fried well. Apparently, if you ask for fat french fries you'll get the thicker cut ones which I will remember for next time. The hot dogs were well cooked and sauced. The buns seemed fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. The inside was largely the same as I remembered it. I sat at the counter and could view the galley kitchen, which seemed to be very clean. Prices weren't bad. I will likely return.

This is a pretty spectacular hot dog shop (um, truck) that is located in Massachusetts somewhere halfway between Boston and Providence, sort of like my secret love nest (hi boys). They make delicious hot dogs, which are definitely five star. I loved every single bite. They put a lot of love into the product and all the ingredients are as excellent as the taste. Very well done to the owners and preparers. Pretty much one of the better hot dogs you'll find anywhere. I highly recommend you stop by and give it a try. Trucks aren't usually great, but occasionally they are. Usually overpriced and hipstery and lacking in quality or taste, but this is the opposite. Affordable, expertly made, and as authentically awesome as you could hope. Yes it's a little truck, so try not to come it's too freezing (like, 8 months of the year in these parts ugh), or if you do, I suggest eating in your car like I did. Also Smokey's is where they filmed the movie Almost Famous, obviously. And when I eat the hot dogs here, then much like Kate Hudson wearing her sexiest Fabletics outfit, I am a Golden God.

There were two other groups there when we arrived, all sitting on the same side of the restaurant so we decided to join them to make the server's life easier. For the first coupie minutes, I was admiring the peach and teal color combination all throughout the restaurant. The coupon I had was valid for a classic hot dog ($5.00) which came with ketchup, mustard, relish, and diced onions. On top of that, I ordered an OG smashburger ($10.50) which came with lettuce, tomato, pickles, American cheese, and burger sauce. I decided to add bacon onion jam not knowing there would be a substantial upcharge (+$3.00) that wouldn't be worth it. My friend ordered their double trouble smashburger ($14.50) which came with double patty, American cheese, bacon, onion ring, and chipotle aioli. Our server talked to us while we waited for our food; she was a good conversationalist and kind. The food looked great. The cheese was melted well, but I wish the buns were toasted on both sides or pressed down on the grill a bit. The patties were flavorful, had the signature crispy finish, and not too thin. I was grateful they had shrettuce (shredded lettuce) as I think it somehow makes burgers taste better. I did appreciate the caramelized onions in the bacon onion jam as it added a sweet element, but I couldn't taste much of the bacon, so for that reason, I didn't think it was worth the extra charge. The hot dog was okay. The dog itself did not have much flavor (l love a salty classic beef dog), but the toppings helped create that classic sweet but acidic taste. The prices are a little high for the type of food but the food is good so it balances out a bit. One huge plus is that they have their own parking lot and it's free for customers. I drove around a bit trying to find street parking as l am conditioned to assume parking lots aren't a thing on federal hill but Wally's is an exception.

The chicken I ordered with my bowl was really the only good thing I got from it, but it was overshadowed by there being about eight times as much rice than the chicken. There were only four pieces of chicken in the bowl and at least 25 bites of unseasoned white rice.
