    Don't be wary of Gary's! Think that getting a new car is scary? At here, it's quite the contrary! But enough of the rhymes, I am a lifetime customer! I walked into their shop after noticing that a vehicle I had been eyeing down was no longer in the lot. I asked Jesse about said vehicle and within the hour Tim and I were on our way to go get the gal. A 1995 Ford Ranger Splash. Yellow as the day was bright, and the staff was just as mellow! Though she wasn't quite ready for a new home, a team of three mechanics made sure she was ready to go by the following day. Gary himself made sure to extend his friendlies! I am more than pleased with their quality of professional, yet admirably attentive, service. Theeesseee are the people that will most certainly pleaseeee! Thanks boys!

The young guy who took me on the test drive was great -- you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. That kind of enthusiasm is rare, and it made the whole experience easy. And at the front desk, I was greeted by a young lady whose name -- I promise I am not making this up -- is Jennifer Lopez. Lol. I bought a 2021 Tesla Model Y. When I got home and ran the numbers myself, I was off from their figures by three dollars. Three. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons -- just taxes and DMV, exactly as discussed. They also buy and sell used vehicles, electric cars especially, so whether you're buying or selling it's worth giving them a call. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Service people Ethan and Alyssa I believe her name was were SO sweet and eased my anxiety. I brought my car in and Playa West took care of the repair free of charge since I had purchased the tires there!!! It was such a pleasant surprise and a great example of how they stand by their work. The mechanics are all seemingly very honest. This place is reasonable with pricing, clear about what actually needs to be done instead of what is more of a recommendation, and they never make me feel pressured which I am so thankful for in this big crazy city! After I drove it off the lot, I noticed a rattling noise when I braked. I lived with it for a couple months and brought it back. I told them it makes a sound when I brake and they said they would take a look at it. When they told me the car was ready for pickup, they said they couldn't hear anything and the car was fine. I explicitly told the guy at the counter that there's something there, and if he can make a note that I came in because I imagined I would be back shortly after. I finally had some time to come in again over a year of rattling. I leave my car there for the whole day. I took my dog for a walk at 4pm and I stopped by to check on the car in case I missed the call, they said it wasn't ready yet. I walked around the block to see my car on the street with the window down (not a huge issue, the neighborhood is safe). Less than an hour later I get the call that it's fixed, something was loose in the brakes and they fixed it. I asked him if they're going to cover it since it's been rattling for a year, he said that 'the boss said he can't do it' and quoted me 200 something for an hour of work as well. At that point it's not like you have a choice, you just pay and leave a bad review so another one of our neighbors doesn't get scammed.

The second the paperwork was signed, they couldn't have cared less about the customer. Within a week of purchasing, the car was already having major problems. It stalls, stops unexpectedly, and appears to have serious engine issues. Instead of standing behind the vehicle they sold, Car World basically shrugged their shoulders and refused to help. The entire business feels designed around one thing: getting signatures on contracts. Once they make the sale, you're on your own. Customer service disappears the moment they have your money. And honestly, the dealership itself should have been a warning sign. The building looks like it's falling apart, the operation feels disorganized, and the atmosphere screams "buyer beware." To top it all off, they literally have a sign posted telling customers that once the contract is signed, they can't get their down payment back and are responsible for all payments. Imagine needing to post giant warnings like that instead of selling reliable vehicles and treating customers fairly. The salespeople don't seem interested in whether the vehicle is safe, reliable, or even functional. Their priority appears to be making the sale and moving on to the next person. If you're considering buying a car here, do yourself a favor and go somewhere that values customers more than signatures on paperwork. This place left a terrible impression and turned what should have been an exciting purchase into a stressful and expensive mistake. Buyer beware. Seriously.

On top of that, the price we got was an absolute steal (4-5k LOWER than the KBB price). Big Thank You to Christian, James, and their GM for making this happen. This experience really changed the way I view car buying - I've learned that if you apply due diligence at every step of the sales process you can avoid a lot of the negative experiences that others have had. Prior to coming to LAX CDJR we had been to other dealers with cash in-hand, ready to buy and they all let us down one way or another so we walked away. When we came across a car we were interested in at LAX CDJR Christian was quick to respond to every request we made. We asked for a picture of the paint quality, he sent us a full 360 video. We asked for an OTD cash quote and he sent it to us within an hour and there were NO hidden fees or add-ons. Finally I asked if I can send a mechanic over there for a pre-purchase inspection (shout out to POMCAR) and Christian was more than accommodating, even offering to let us to take the car off the lot. Everything had gone so smoothly that I was actually expecting the inspection to come back with some major repairs needed, but nope. The 10 page report came back and the car was nearly flawless except for a few cosmetic issues. So we pulled the trigger. Of course no car buying experience is complete without the finance person screwing you over - but not here! We worked with James and he recognized that it was my son's first time buying a car so he immediately put him at ease cracking jokes and walking him through the process. He knew my son was only working part time so he didn't try to push other services on him that he knew he couldn't afford. When all was said and done my son had the biggest smile on his face and we couldn't be more grateful. In the last 20+ years I've purchased cars from Land Rover, BMW, Tesla, Porsche, Mercedes, etc and LAX CDJR was one of the easiest car buying experiences I've had.

That call never came. After several attempts to follow up, I finally got through--only to be told the technician was on lunch and the car still wasn't ready. By 4 PM, it was still in the shop. At that point, I was told the delay was because my 2021 Chrysler Pacifica was "old." A four-year-old car is far from old in my opinion, and if that was going to be an issue, it should've been communicated upfront--especially since the car has been serviced there before. They did end up offering me a rental car, but the way it was handled didn't sit right. I was told if I didn't return it with a full tank, I'd be charged $150--despite the fact there's literally a gas station across the street. It felt like unnecessary pressure on top of an already frustrating situation. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because they at least provided a rental. If you decide to bring your car here, I'd suggest managing your expectations, staying on top of the communication yourself, and being prepared to micromanage the process--because unfortunately, that's how you'll have to be treated to get anything done.
