    Don't be wary of Gary's! Think that getting a new car is scary? At here, it's quite the contrary! But enough of the rhymes, I am a lifetime customer! I walked into their shop after noticing that a vehicle I had been eyeing down was no longer in the lot. I asked Jesse about said vehicle and within the hour Tim and I were on our way to go get the gal. A 1995 Ford Ranger Splash. Yellow as the day was bright, and the staff was just as mellow! Though she wasn't quite ready for a new home, a team of three mechanics made sure she was ready to go by the following day. Gary himself made sure to extend his friendlies! I am more than pleased with their quality of professional, yet admirably attentive, service. Theeesseee are the people that will most certainly pleaseeee! Thanks boys!

They've handled everything from fairly major work on my 2014 Subaru Forester to routine maintenance like oil changes and I've consistently had great experiences! I also purchased tires from Playa West Automotives prior to one of my cross country road trips and I recently discovered I had a nail stuck in one of the tires. I brought my car in and Playa West took care of the repair free of charge since I had purchased the tires there!!! It was such a pleasant surprise and a great example of how they stand by their work. The mechanics are all seemingly very honest. This place is reasonable with pricing, clear about what actually needs to be done instead of what is more of a recommendation, and they never make me feel pressured which I am so thankful for in this big crazy city! I'm so very thankful to have found a trustworthy mechanic in Los Angeles. Playa West Automotive has earned my loyalty and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest service!!!

After I drove it off the lot, I noticed a rattling noise when I braked. I lived with it for a couple months and brought it back. I told them it makes a sound when I brake and they said they would take a look at it. When they told me the car was ready for pickup, they said they couldn't hear anything and the car was fine. I explicitly told the guy at the counter that there's something there, and if he can make a note that I came in because I imagined I would be back shortly after. I finally had some time to come in again over a year of rattling. I leave my car there for the whole day. I took my dog for a walk at 4pm and I stopped by to check on the car in case I missed the call, they said it wasn't ready yet. I walked around the block to see my car on the street with the window down (not a huge issue, the neighborhood is safe). Less than an hour later I get the call that it's fixed, something was loose in the brakes and they fixed it. I asked him if they're going to cover it since it's been rattling for a year, he said that 'the boss said he can't do it' and quoted me 200 something for an hour of work as well. At that point it's not like you have a choice, you just pay and leave a bad review so another one of our neighbors doesn't get scammed.

On top of that, the price we got was an absolute steal (4-5k LOWER than the KBB price). Big Thank You to Christian, James, and their GM for making this happen. This experience really changed the way I view car buying - I've learned that if you apply due diligence at every step of the sales process you can avoid a lot of the negative experiences that others have had. Prior to coming to LAX CDJR we had been to other dealers with cash in-hand, ready to buy and they all let us down one way or another so we walked away. When we came across a car we were interested in at LAX CDJR Christian was quick to respond to every request we made. We asked for a picture of the paint quality, he sent us a full 360 video. We asked for an OTD cash quote and he sent it to us within an hour and there were NO hidden fees or add-ons. Finally I asked if I can send a mechanic over there for a pre-purchase inspection (shout out to POMCAR) and Christian was more than accommodating, even offering to let us to take the car off the lot. Everything had gone so smoothly that I was actually expecting the inspection to come back with some major repairs needed, but nope. The 10 page report came back and the car was nearly flawless except for a few cosmetic issues. So we pulled the trigger. Of course no car buying experience is complete without the finance person screwing you over - but not here! We worked with James and he recognized that it was my son's first time buying a car so he immediately put him at ease cracking jokes and walking him through the process. He knew my son was only working part time so he didn't try to push other services on him that he knew he couldn't afford. When all was said and done my son had the biggest smile on his face and we couldn't be more grateful. In the last 20+ years I've purchased cars from Land Rover, BMW, Tesla, Porsche, Mercedes, etc and LAX CDJR was one of the easiest car buying experiences I've had.

I brought my Ram in because the electric driver's seat wasn't working. I had an extended warranty and hoped it would be covered. They kept my car for nearly a month. Every time I went in, the service technician told me he was still waiting to see if the warranty would cover it. One day I went in and they said the technician was gone and nothing had been done on my truck. Another tech found the paperwork, called the insurance and they replaced the switch on my seat. I paid a deductible and thought the bad experience was over. A few weeks later, the seat stopped working again. I brought the truck in today and was told that they would have to put in another warranty claim and that I might have to pay another deductible. I said that I brought the truck in because the seat was not properly operating and that, if they had properly diagnosed and repaired the problem, I would only have to pay the deductible once. I already had to suffer not having access to my truck for nearly a month and now I am back to square one; my seat doesn't work and I have to pay a deductible. I demanded my keys and left. I have lost all confidence in this dealership's ability to properly diagnose or repair a problem. And when faced with this, they offer nothing to the customer. I'll take my car to ANY other Ram dealership in Southern California before I set foot in this place again.
