It was their first one though so I get that they are working out the kinks. I definitely want to come back once they have done the game a few times and really have it nailed down. I love getting scared & used to frequent halloween horror nights, so I can say with confidence all of the houses were scary! You can tell effort & thought was put into each house, plus a sufficient amount of actors in each one that what made it so fun! I was impressed with the level of professionalism each ticket attendant had, with a smile on their face. Rather than having us enter with multiple parties in line, it was done individually so allows to have a more tailored experience w.o it being ruined in front of you & having people up your butt behind rushing you (that drives me crazy & is so insanely rude). With that said, the line does go much slower, so I ended up adding on the fast pass right there at the kiosk, which was well worth it. I was alone so the first house I was getting bored waiting lol. Parking was easy, & even though it was off the beaten path, didn't feel sketchy driving there at night. Even the porta potties were clean & maintained. Whatever. I bought the tickets. On the day of the show, I was in a car accident and unable to attend. In my state of being frazzled and ridiculous, my thoughts weren't about the car, they were "Oh, no! I can't make the show!" So I called the box office and asked if there was a way I could transfer them to another day or get a refund. It was no problem and the woman made the situation so easy (even though the day we transferred it to was already sold out!). The day of the show, I got to the box office and she knew who I was and handed me my tickets. The lobby has a very beautiful view of downtown Austin. The actual theatre is really nice as well. It's a theatre in the round, so the shows have to be staged in a very interesting way in order for all four sides to get an enjoyable show. Luckily the performing arts department at St. Edward's knows what they're doing. They're really utilizing this place to it's full potential! There's not a bad seat in the house and the chairs are very comfortable. I very much look forward to seeing a show here in the future.

We called the day of the performance and were able to get tickets that we picked up at will call. That process was quick and painless and the ticket desk people were friendly and personable. Texas State University has jumped headlong into the big leagues with the addition of this…read moremulti-million dollar Performing Arts Center to nurture and showcase their talent. It includes a 400-seat auditorium, the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre, where we saw the inaugural performance of the musical, Anything Goes, this weekend. Clearly outstanding, Broadway-worthy productions such as this deserve this professional venue. Not only is it equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it's architecturally beautiful and comfortable for patrons. Our seats were on the floor level, but the wrap-around balcony is positioned so there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's an intimate setting, which is nice for connecting with the live shows, but it also means the shows sell out. Buy your tickets in advance online rather than driving out and chancing getting one at the door. Tickets for this performance ranged $15-$18, for a total of $20 with the purchase fees. Such a deal that I'll have no problem making the drive from Austin often with family and friends. Texas State Students get in for $8. Right across the street is the Edward Gary Street Garage, built in tandem with the PAC to allow for easy parking. We paid $5 flat rate. The PAC also houses a 300-seat recital hall, rehearsal and classroom space, so there's a lot more going on in that building than the shows. No wonder their programs are becoming nationally known.
