When I arrived, the person at the front still saw my old ticket in the system but found an envelope with my new ticket--yay! The theater itself was very well kept and clean and everyone we spoke with was so warm and friendly. The truffle popcorn was good but quite messy to eat with the seasoning getting all over, so the napkins are definitely a must. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings on the big screen!

At first I didn't think it would be a big deal, but it's so clunky and it takes away from the old school experience. Everyone shining their phones to try and order food - and then they hit you with 18% auto grat which is annoying, and then try to ask for a bigger tip. In fact, if you don't go into your app to select no additional tip they automatically add a bit more. I kinda did like the mozzarella sticks and popcorn, but not the salad. Picture quality and sound was good. I would return but not in a rush. I think I prefer Evo & Cinemark.

Overall: 3.5/5 [dine in]…read more This theater is in a great location and is always clean. They also validate parking at the McBee garage which is a nice perk. The seats are a bit older than the Lakeline location and don't seem to recline as much, but the drinks come out faster here. They also have a nice upstairs outdoor patio to hang out on. We got the boneless wings with fries ($18.25). The fries were alright but the wings were not good, the taste and flavor just weren't for me. The portion was also pretty small for the price.

Needless to say a lot has changed since our last review of this Alamo location from 2017! Even though we hadn't written updated reviews, we nonetheless noticed (of course) that Alamo had consistently gotten worse over the years. However, our experience last week has confirmed that we will never ever be back here again. This place is the pits. The only reason we went is because someone got us a gift card. We bought our tickets, and there was a $7 "convenience fee" like we are in 1998. But then, we get to the theatre, and--JOKE'S ON US because we had no idea that this had happened--you do everything through a QR now. Are you kidding??? How much soul can you suction out of a business!?! The whole point of this whole enterprise was to use the fun little pencils, write your order down, and have the charming experience of HUMAN INTERACTION. Now, you have your phone out--yes, haha that they mention the irony after the bazillion ads we had to sit through!--and there is an automatic 18% tip included. Wowza! We were so disgusted that we only ordered beers. Our daughter had to get TWO kids pizzas because the portions were so small. The menu is way more limited and even more overpriced than one could imagine. Hope you liked Toy Story 5! Oh, AND FYI, if you forget to close out your tab, they add a 5% ADDITIONAL tip within 20 minutes of the movie closing. I mean, this place truly, truly hates its customers. And what greets you at the main desk? A Gen Z'er on her phone the entire time who can't be bothered to look up when folks come and go. We hate this place so much and we are SO excited for the day that we hear that they will have to shutter their doors because, honestly, no business deserves to go under more than this one. 1 star only because we can't give zero.

First, let's be clear about what this place is NOT. This is not a movie theater with recliners or…read morewaitstaff. No cocktail or plate will be brought to you during the movie. Also not the place to remove shoes, and fan ones pants. And yet .... Note: There is an imax with seats that will not stay upright. No footrest. There is no mechanical control, and if this matters to you- note there's likely to be pressure on the tail because of the odd seats. So, if you have a lower back issue beware. Also, the seats tilt so far that for those with long legs - it's kind of like the person in front of you, is in your lap. Second, what this place is: Kid Central. There are games, bowling, typical movie popcorn, and soda. There is also a bar with $15 cocktails. "Real food" can also be ordered from the typical movie concession area - and maybe the bar - However, the only tables I could find were 4 tops similar to mall food courts. Plenty of kids enjoying them. No waitstaff. No hand fans for sale. The day I was there, young children were prolific in the game and bowling area and elderly were out in droves at the imax - some of whom had removed their shoes. They all seemed happy as can be. So, if the kids need an outing with air conditioning or grandpa needs an imax experience - this place may be just right! However, a movie with a decent meal and beverage brought to you while you watch - its not gonna happen here. Also, not going to be a comfortable seat or have leg room or table space. But - there may be cranky old men without shoes actively using a hand fan on his crotch (see photos). I won't be there.

It includes a 400-seat auditorium, the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre, where we saw the inaugural performance of the musical, Anything Goes, this weekend. Clearly outstanding, Broadway-worthy productions such as this deserve this professional venue. Not only is it equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it's architecturally beautiful and comfortable for patrons. Our seats were on the floor level, but the wrap-around balcony is positioned so there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's an intimate setting, which is nice for connecting with the live shows, but it also means the shows sell out. Buy your tickets in advance online rather than driving out and chancing getting one at the door. Tickets for this performance ranged $15-$18, for a total of $20 with the purchase fees. Such a deal that I'll have no problem making the drive from Austin often with family and friends. Texas State Students get in for $8. Right across the street is the Edward Gary Street Garage, built in tandem with the PAC to allow for easy parking. We paid $5 flat rate. The PAC also houses a 300-seat recital hall, rehearsal and classroom space, so there's a lot more going on in that building than the shows. No wonder their programs are becoming nationally known.
