Been here for 5 years now! Always had a clean up crew. Now there has not been any clean up in our Northwest townhouses for at least 2-3 weeks! Leaves piled up not good! This is a "Slum Landlord" Property Management Co. Although I have requested since last July 1, 2020, to replace the screen on my sliding glass doors, due to the holes and rotten screens, as well as replacing a "Malfunctioning window blind" since July of 2020, these people who are known as "Property Managers" continue to blatantly ignore their tenants' requests to repair or replace their dilapidated, outdated and disfuncional products. I have filed approximately 5 "Code-Violations" including the fact that I have cold water whenever any other tenant who turns on their water or anyone who uses our 2 washers' laundry. They also neglected do any type of "Safety or Security Video surveillance, or monitoring of our parking lot or any other areas of the property. My car has been vandalized twice. I am hoping to get some sort of resolution by posting this review to expose Gaston and Wilkerson. read more

Cassandra Ellis is the community manager for Falcon Ridge by Desert Winds. I purchased a unit in April 2021. Included in the purchase price was two working entry gate remotes. Ms. Ellis kept no records of where the remotes were mailed as well as no information about the remote details. She subsequently deactivated the remotes and is unable to activate them. She refuses to provide two working remotes that were previously paid for. She attempts to jettison her responsibility to provide two working remotes by insisting the tenant jump through a bunch of hoops to receive what was already paid for. You can see by other reviews, Gaston & Wilkerson is a completely unethical company and Ms. Ellis is the most unprofessional and incompetent individual I have ever met. read more

I've concluded that these HOA Property Management firms are all much alike. They are long on promise and short on delivery. If you are going to refer to yourself as a Property (or community) Manager, it follows that you should know "how" to manage. Part of that includes being able to communicate to Homeowners in an ambiguous manner that will not put out false or misleading information. As President of our HOA, I was warned about Gaston-Wilkerson but their proposal was the most affordable for our community so we bought into it. The Community Manager was an absolute "Control Freak" and could not stand a Board Member who was willing to stand up and tell her "you're wrong". During this Covid19, she used it to avoid having to deal with Homeowners by refusing to have any face-to-face meetings; everything was "Virtual". Admittedly, Nevada State Government requires this but other HOA Management Firms still followed the process without locking out their clients. I would not recommend Gaston-Wilkerson to any HOA that really cares about their community. The only aspect of our community management that we4nt fairly smoothly was "bill paying" and Accounting. Of course we are a small community with only a $41,000 Annual Budget, so how could you screw that up? Beware this company needs a lot of training if they are to become real "Managers". read more

Unprofessional Staff! Down to the unhelpful girl named Sara. You feel like you are being avoided in most cases. You can hear your neighbor's bathroom fan (loud). They like to leave notes on you door telling you not to have BBQ's, BARKING DOGS, clutter, ect but Brad NEVER seems to follow up on anything. Some people pay up to 550. and now they have the same apt for 430. A month. They are all the same!!! Like I said, unprofessional. Old windows, lead paint, noise from apt on both sides, I guess this is why so many people come and go from this place. Would be a good deal at 325. a month, no more. This is for 1155 Glenda Way, Reno ...Never been to any of the other properties. Don't sign a lease here, you will regret it. The parking spaces are way to small. Lot has no Handicap parking nor are any of the apt. set up for handicap folks. Brad keeps advertising the units at 1155 Glenda way are full sized kitchens, THEY ARE NOT! I am very disappointed in the service and the attitude from our new management company. At our recent HOA meeting we heard nothing but complaints of how many calls and emails they receive compared to other properties that they manage. There were also accusations of repeating the same pictures of violations when in the past the previous association instructed the home owners to have a timeline, on going documentation from different weeks, months etc., to be sure the violations were justified. We were also informed that this management company could not enforce this violation even though this violation has been enforced since 2007 when our association was established under the declarant. No other management company has ever treated our association in this manner. I believe part of the problem with the calls and emails is because of poor communication with the homeowners. The homeowners were informed from the management company that they will not communicate to the homeowner with a lot of emails even though they are new to our association. This management company said everyone needs to go to the web site. Some homeowners said they did not know there was a website. Our association was not informed until January, when they came on board, that we had a new management company. The Board made the decision without having it neither on the agenda for a discussion or opening bids/contracts for discussion. The coupons books from previous management companies that many of the homeowners were used to receiving to pay their dues many never received them. Some homeowners were not even aware that we had a new management company so were sending payments to the old management company. Many problems and many inquiries which I gather are not allowed for fear of bothering this management company. Shame on them for taking our money but not wanting to give us quality service. read more

Good luck getting your security deposit back. Here is my experience. I rented a furnished apartment for the month of April 2012. I put down a $250 security deposit which was to be refunded provided we left the apartment clean and undamaged. April 28, the day I moved out, I called Brad Wilkerson. He asked me where to send the security deposit refund. I gave him my home address. He said the check would be sent within 30 days. I also wrote down my home address and gave it to the onsite manager. On June 4, I had not received the refund so I called Brad and left a message for him to call me regarding the refund. He didn't return my call. On June 5, I emailed him and got no reply. On June 7, I finally reached him on the phone. First he told me the refund had been sent, then incredibly, asked me what address to send it to. By June 15 I still had no refund check. I emailed again and said I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if the check was not forthcoming. He wrote back and told me they had sent it to the address of the apartment I vacated! Mind you, I had given him the correct address over the phone several times and included it in every email, yet they still sent it to the wrong address. Finally on June 28th, I got a check for $200--fifty dollars short of what I'm owed. In all of our phone calls and emails, Brad Wilkerson never indicated to me that he would be keeping a portion of the security deposit. We left the apartment cleaner than we found it and didn't damage anything. I emailed asking about the missing $50. I haven't heard anything back yet. read more

The Apts at 1155 Glenda Way, Reno NV are NOT managed very well, unless you don't care. The Laundry Room is always trashy and dirty. A few people that live here do not care about anyone else. Gaston and Wilkerson treats this property as if it is a step child. No Office, No maintance guy (or girl) on duty. The parking lot is always trashy and not cover like it says in one of the internet ads. Plus the spaces are tight so watch your doors. The fans in the bathrooms in all the apts are all old and really LOUD. IT IS ANNOYING! Brad Wilkerson Knows this but chooses not to care. Just like he turns a blind eye to people with 30lb dogs. One plus, they don't charge for your dog or cat so enjoy that. You would probably be better off to stay away from this place. I wish I would not have signed a year lease, so I feel stuck here. They recently had an inspection here, left a notice on my door, they were here and never bothered to come to my Apt. (20 apts) after I sat here all morning. If I was the Owner of this property, I'd worry! If my smoke alarm fails, I guess Gaston and Wilkerson will learn a hard leason via my testimony that they didn't find time to do a complete job. Bottom line Brad is not profession at what is does. He is there because his Daddy put him there in a position where he doesn't belong. The office girl Sara hides Brad pretty well and is no help. He will not find time to call you back. Thes places are really small. 400 sq. Not a full size Kitchen. Small apt size refer. Small apt size stove and tiny word area. They say it's full size. In comparison, a 1200 sq foot apt at their price would be 1230.00 a month. You can do better than the Cottages at Glanda way. Keep looking. read more

I accidentally overpaid my HOA fees by $200 (in December). They sent me a letter a few weeks later indicating I had overpaid, however they never bothered to include a refund check. I have left 2 messages for them to return my call and I have heard nothing at all! So unprofessional! Ok so I called again and I was told basically I was a liar because the person I spoke with said SHE never got any messages. She had the nerve to ask my why I paid my HOA fees in full once a year if I need the money? I was like are u kidding!! I always pay my HOA complete in the beginning of the year but I have over paid you and I want my money back that I am entitled to. How I pay my bills are not her business. She then goes on to tell me I need to do it in writing...and my reply was "you sent me a letter that you owe me money", her reply "I have no idea about any letter". She becomes so rude to me, yells at me upsets me so. She yells "Listen to Me" I said "No, you listen to me" and she HANGS up on me! I could not believe this person works in a job that deals with people. She is rude, she is dishonest and over the line. If anyone out there knows who is the boss/owner of this company and how to contact them I would appreciate it because I will go all the way to the top to do my best to have this person fired. In closing she called me 3x after the hang up, (I did not answer).. My husband called her and she said she was sorry that they have a new phone system and it hung up on me.!!!! How very convenient....that is another lie. She told my husband all I have to do is email them to get my money back...funny she said I had to write a letter and sent in the mail before that and it was the LAW and policy....another lie...wow sure adds up..I have worked in customer service for 30 years and I have never treated anyone like I was treated.... read more

I can speak only for my experience with the G/W management team for The Classics at Double Diamond Ranch. The manager is Jeannie Redinger. She is allowed,and possibly even encouraged by The Classics' Board of Directors to be rude and disrespectful to homeowners. I sat on this board for over five years and even served as President. We had issues with our initial management team and when the new board of directors replaced that management team with Gaston Wilkerson, I was hopeful. To my great disappointment, this manager fails to record payments, sends "fix" letters to the wrong property, fails to answer email, and when on the phone, speaks with homeowners in a condescending manner. I have received two landscape letters telling me to take care of my yard, and the images included with the nasty-gram were not even for my home. They sent the notice to the wrong homeowner. No apologies for the error, no word from the Board or the Manager. I have owned my home for 14 years and never have I been so disappointed in our "community" team. The management team makes enemies of neighbors. If you are looking for a management team and seek to use Gaston Wilkerson, I recommend staying away from Jeannie Redinger. read more

My review is for the HOA of Cyan/ Heritage Community. I cant believe how SLOW they are. I sent in an approval request for a basic simple project in my back yard which follow all their rules, color matches the house perfectly and everything. I thought it would be really quick for them to approve. But no, it takes them fooorever. Why? I dont understand. Are they on vacation? They delay my project and it effects other plans too. Also, they have been building a new in our community and it took forever to finish and it still looks like a piece of crap. We pay them money. Where does all the money go? On their vacation? Or on people who go around to fine homeowners to earn them more money? Ive owned this house for more than a year and been really disappointed with this HOA team. I work in a building downtown managed by Gaston & Wilkerson, specifically Melissa as our property manager. First of all Melissa has informed our business manager she is only allowed to email her, and never to call Melissa, why, no idea, but that seems a bit ridiculous. Over Thanksgiving weekend the office I work in was robbed, our business manager was out of town, so I called Melissa and she was rude, short, had no answers for me, and couldn't get off the phone fast enough. She told me she didn't know who our alarm company was, or who our janitors were becomes the previous tenant installed the alarm and hired the janitors. So as a property manager you let someone do that and get no information, which in turn means you can never go into our suite if need be because you don't know the door codes or alarm codes, this made no sense to me and would raise suspicions as a property manager if you ask me. Fast forward to February 22nd, I get to work, unlock my office door (which wasn't shut or locked when I left the night before), there is a Hispanic male sitting in my office, the same description as the person the janitors saw in our office Thanksgiving weekend that left when the janitors arrived. I call the police, they search the backpack and find about 100 keys on a ring, including "do not duplicate" keys to the building my office resides in. They also found items he had stolen from us Thanksgiving weekend, and items that belong to the business below us. The police arrest him and we contact Melissa whose response is glad you figured out what happened, we'll have your locks changed and send you a bill. Locksmith comes, Melissa told him not to change the locks to the building that this person had a key to and the locksmith looked at and said yea, I stamped that. Soooo this person somehow has a key to the building, and others, breaks in who knows how many times with it, but you're not going to change the locks to the building? Or the tenant locks downstairs? You're just going to change our locks and be sure to bill us even though he's getting in using a "do not duplicate" key to the entire building? When the locksmith arrived I asked him if he was told to change the locks on the building and he said no, just the locks to your office, but that he was going to recommend AGAIN that all the locks be changed. If one person has this key, how do you know there's not more? And how do we as tenants feel safe going to work everyday knowing someone else could have a key to the building as well? I don't Melissa, I thought I was okay Friday, but walked in the door and a fear came over me instantly that someone could be in the building. So thank you Melissa for being so concerned about the employees that work in the building you manage and not worrying about changing the locks that a random man on the street had keys to, and who knows who else. I'll be sure to email you again next time I find someone whose broken into the building sitting in my office again. read more
