Please do not go here. I went earlier today to get lunch at the airport and my brother had a burger. It was the only thing he had that day. Gastrohub made him get food poisoning and made him barely be able to walk. If you are saying "it's probably the plane that made him sick" nope. Right before we took off he threw it all up so it was 100% the restaurant. My brother is very sick and hurting so please do not go here unless you want to have food poisoning. The only reason i'm giving this a one star is because i have to and the service was good. I did not eat at this place because i got something else and so did my other brother. My dad mom and brother got all different meals. It was just the burger that made my brother puke everywhere and made him get food poisoning. Drunk, bald waiter throws glass at me to them scream at me. When: Monday 6:30pm local time Who: bar staff, bald man pictured and bar waiter with brown hair and circular glasses. Sitting at the gastrohub bar (terminal B) and the waiter threw threw glass at me. He threw a few water glasses, landing into a group of other stack glasses that were less than 2 inches where I was sitting. Luckily, I covered and didn't get hurt as glass hit my arm (covering my face). My waiter, (brown hair with circular vision glass) half apologizes for him and say "sorry he's drunk it happens". I ask to move to table since I already order. Drunk, bald white man (pictured) team up on me as he starts screaming gibberish at me! Keep in mind he never apologized. My waiter, (brown hair with circular vision glass) demands that the drunk man didn't do it on purpose and need for him to apologize. I notify my waiter I want to be seated at a table. Then, I notify a female host about glass getting thrown at me by a drunk staff member and she responds, "you can't move locations, you'll need to close out your tab at the bar." I know that airport restaurants are notoriously bad, but GastroHub sets a new standard for shitty service. Our server Eric looked like he'd rather be anywhere else--maybe at Zaza, which, spoiler alert, is a way better option. There was a sign at the entrance that said "Please wait to be seated." After a line formed, some guy comes out and says "It's open seating." This happened four more times while we sat there. It was like a game of "Guess Who's Actually Working Here." The highlight of our meal? The Chicken Club Sandwich and Roasted Pepper and Gouda soup, which were surprisingly delicious. But the crispy Kale Caesar was a greasy horror show. Who fries kale? It's supposed to be healthy and fresh, not an oil slick. The Caesar dressing was so bland it could have been water. After Eric dropped off the check, he vanished like a magician, and we had to flag down a bartender just to pay. Everyone in our section looked equally bewildered and neglected. Food is fine. Beer was decent. Service average. Only reason for leaving a review is the included gratuity that you're not made aware of. I usually tip very well even on large bills but there is something dirty about not informing your customer that part of their bill is your tip. We fly into Orlando only occasionally and eat there almost every time... just based on the lack of any other sit down location in this terminal. The restaurant, based on the website closes at 9:30pm. At 7:40pm, we stood waiting to be seated, as the sign requests. No less than 5 employees left us there waiting, and wondering... as they stared at us while transiting the area. There were 5 employees hanging out in the back. No one addressed us, what so ever... which if they were incredibly busy... it would have been understandable. They were not. We attempted to get the bartenders attention, we overheard him tell another couple they were no longer serving food. Which would have been awesome to mention to us, so we didnt stand there wishing to be served. Unimpressed, but I supposed being the only choice they don't need to be any good. We ate here roughly 18 mo ago when it was still Ruby Tuesday's. The layout is good and the tables aren't too crowded. There are plenty of tables as well. They use the space effectively. The menu is similar but smaller/more concise than it used to be. We ordered the chips and mango salsa to start. The salsa had almost no salt in it and the chips were stale. I had the salmon/rice/broccoli entree last time and it was great. I decided to get it again, but asked if I could sub out the rice for fries (if they were not coated in breading as some are). The waitress informed us they were coated in batter (they actually weren't - or at least the fries on my kids plate weren't), so she gave me rice instead. The rice had no flavor and needed a lot of salt and pepper. The salmon was cooked perfectly but also lacked any seasoning. I ended up putting a ton of salt and pepper on it, as well as adding some of our left over mango salsa on top of it. She forgot to put the broccoli on the plate but brought it when I asked about it. My husband had a club sandwich and his complaint was that it was extremely bland and the bread was rather stale. My kids had grilled cheese and cheeseburger plates with fries. Overall the food was bland, was in desperate need of seasoning, and could have been fresher. I was charged an extra dollar for switching to fries (even though a side of fries costs 50 cents less than a side of rice according to the menu), even though they ended up not switching me to fries. We didn't fight it because it was just a dollar and we had a flight to catch. The waitress also added an automatic 18% gratuity. We normally tip 20-22% but if it is automatically added they get what they added and no more. Our waitress wasn't very observant nor attentive, and never refilled our drinks without us having to flag her down and ask for it. We understand that she was busy, but she also was only doing the bare minimum. This is likely due to her knowing her tip was guaranteed, as well as the fact that, as we were in an airport, repeat patronage is less of a priority. So if you plan on eating here: watch for extra charges, don't make substitutions if you can avoid it, be sure to speak up when you need something, and be aware that they add automatic gratuity.... Oh and make sure your table has salt and pepper shakers - you're gonna need them. read more

This is my second time going to this restaurant since they opened at the Orlando airport. They are the only "real restaurant" that's not fast food past security so there's basically this place or going hungry. The first time I went it was their first day open and service was predictably chaotic, so I decided to give them another shot today once they were settled in. They are supposed to open at 6a, but by 6:05a they still were not open. I asked the girl working the to-go counter and she said they opened at 6:15a. I wasn't greeted by the hostess and seated until 6:25a. When I asked the hostess what time they opened she lied to me and said that they had opened at 6a. When I pointed out that this was not true, I got a half-hearted "sorry". Then once I'm seated I had to listen to the loud staff yell-talking even though they're standing right next to each other about whether "they've ever been to a five-star restaurant". We stopped ahead of a long flight and ordered sandwiches and a few cocktails, one of which was a double (again, long flight). Not only was the drink not a double, but we're not sure there was any booze in it: couldn't taste or smell anything. We raised it to the waiter and he shrugged, basically saying "it's in there." At the end of the day, felt like we were robbed. The only reason there's two stars is because the hostess was nice and the sandwiches weren't bad. They rushed my food out, not saying anything wrong with getting fast service only if the food was prepared well enough, I ordered the chicken sandwich was tasty however my onion rings came out soaked in grease and soggy. I felt my waiter had a bad attitude and rushed me to ask for what I needed. I asked to replace my onion rings and I did get another batch, a lot more crispier but still soaked in grease. I received extremely disrespectful service from (I believe the bar manager) George, an older white guy wearing glasses. I get it, you work at a busy airport bar/restaurant - but when a customer asks you to tell them about the local beer you have on tap, it probably isn't in your best interest to shove them a menu and say "here, you can read!". This guy was not just a total asshole to me and my friend who ordered drinks, but was also not liked by his fellow staff members. It seemed like he pissed off the barkeep and waitresses with his horrible attitude. I could tell this place was a toxic work environment. The other staff interacted with us in a genuine manner, while George couldn't even give us the time of day to talk about beer (when you work at a bar, interesting huh?!?). I felt like I had been discriminated against due to the color of my skin, or the fact that I am Native American and proudly showed it. Please think about the guests and customers that you SERVE. I didn't tip because I was taken back by this guys rude ass attitude. He tried to play it off and be fake polite, but I was already over it.
