While I understand the pricing is to reflect the tourism, the value itself wasn't all the way there. Our meal was good, but not world renowned. The best part was the bleu cheese bread. The cheesesteak egg rolls were tasty, I had the miso glazed sea bass which was also delicious. My date enjoyed a 12 oz ribeye that he says was "so so" and we shared asparagus (that neither of us ate) and Mac & cheese which was decent. I had a Don Julio & club soda to wash it down. The don was off - but because I've been experiencing it at every establishment in the area, I think it was a bad batch and I'd caution them to check their beverage guns as well because the club soda was flat. We decided to check out STK before a concert and saw they had a great happy hour on weekends. Note: you have to be at the bar for the deals. There weren't any spots at the bar downstairs so the hostess told me to go upstairs and I waited a half hour before going back downstairs and getting a seat with my friends. Staff at the downstairs bar didn't seem to want to serve us which made the whole experience super disappointing. Some of the bites were tasty - mushroom arancini and crab corn fritters- and the cocktails were good. I've never had a bartender act so uninterested in serving us which is the main reason for the lower rating. I would like to come back and try a dinner to give them another shot as the food was pretty good. We hopped over to Enzo's bar after this which illuminated just how poor the service was as they treated us amazingly. Last night was a fun night with Yelp Elite Squad! We had some small bites, my favorite was the quesadillas. Then some drinks they offer during happy hour. Yum! Service was friendly, and felt like the servers were all over, but they were doing their best with everyone moving all over the place. Best Happy Hour you're going to find at Disney Springs. I can't tell you how many times I think about going to try another restaurant around Disney Springs and then remember, oh wait it's between 2:30-6:30pm I should just go to STK since they have the best happy hour. I've been here early, late, by myself, with dates, with my family. However, I've still never had a steak here lol and I am a total steak guy. I prefer sitting upstairs. Many times though they won't open upstairs if it isn't that busy. Even better if you can sit up there secluded and have your own VIP experience where 1 bartender waits on you and there are actually TV's up top. If you have to sit at the bar downstairs it's ok, but not TV's. You kind of want a corner seat to people watch. Oh, and up top has an outdoor patio rooftop. One night many months ago, I had a hotel room at the Holiday Inn nearby and decided to try all of the cocktails on the menu. Yep, sometimes ya just gotta do it. However, the first drink of the day is always the $9 Spiced Watermelon which consists of: patrón silver tequila - st~germain - watermelon purée - fresh lime - jalapeño Holy smokes do I love that thing. Additionally, espresso martinis, old fashioned, or any of the cocktails here are always fabulous. Don't be afraid to get outside your comfort zone. I also really like the cucumber stiletto. Oscar was our server and he was helpful, friendly and so nice. Our food was from their Happy Hour menu which starts at 2:30 pm. We absolutely loved all our selections: Steak Frittes, Wagyu Meatballs, Mushroom Arancini, Short Rib Quesadillas, and Tuna Tartare Tacos, they have Coke products but no Coke Zero. We came here for a friend's pre-celebration for her birthday and we were really let down. We made this reservation two weeks in advance and we really want to go during happy hour to start us off on her birthday weekend upon entrance the hostess let us know that they were no longer doing happy hour and we can stay if we want to or we can cancel and come back another day. This baffles me because it was terrible communication on their part and I expected highly of them to let people know if they made a reservation. We all live over an hour away. But my friend wanted to give them a shot so we stayed and what made it better was that our waitress was very sweet and fun! The bread service was good. I love the pesto dip that they had for it. I had a braised short rib, and I felt like it was not worth the price. Someone else at the table with us had the steak and they kept getting it wrong. It had to go back to the kitchen two times and she ended up not wanting to eat. Management tried to make it better and close it out on a good note but I think by then we are just kept the spirits high so we don't let the beginning of the birthday trip put a bad taste in our mouth. Not a fan of the Vegas theming with DJ. The food was way overpriced and then we found out from the people next to us that there was a deal for $49 pp, that we weren't offered. I love the peppercorn crust for the steaks and this time there were hardly and on it. The fish platter was not enough fish for the price point. The tables were so wobbly that the server broke a glass next to us and then almost did it a second time. They keep it dark so you don't see the imperfections. The first place they sat us in the front inside the restaurant was kind of weird it didn't have AC and we were alot of people crammed. I came here to celebrate my 35th birthday and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. I would give it zero stars if possible. One of our dishes came out with a tomato that still had the produce sticker on it. When we pointed it out, the chef responded by saying the tomatoes were "so fresh" that's why the sticker was still on--which felt dismissive rather than addressing the issue. The plate was taken back and we were told a replacement would be brought out. However, the replacement never came. We then waited about 50 minutes with no update, no food, and no sign of our entrees. At that point, we had no choice but to leave without eating. For a restaurant like STK at Disney Springs, this level of service, lack of attention to detail, and poor follow-through is unacceptable. So we went here twice on our Orlando trip. The first time was so amazing that we had to come back. We came for happy hour and had a couple drinks, crab fritters, truffle fries with a small slider, burger, quesadilla, and the free bread and Olive oil. Our server was super nice and checked on us often. The food were great deals for what the normal price was compared to happy hour. The burger was delicious and I really liked the quesadilla. The $3 menu is definitely worth it. We came back a second time before we left, and sat inside. I understand it was super busy, but our server was a bit less intensive this time around. My husband got his steak with wagyu umami which they flame at the table. The cost for STK has significantly increased in price. Our most recent visit the end of December, they ran out of their small steaks and only offered us medium and large steaks. Not sure how true this was or maybe it was a holiday week that they were pushing everyone to the more expensive meals. They have an amazing happy hour menu--honestly one of the best I've tried in the Orlando area. It's pretty extensive and offers great value. My favorite part of happy hour was the watermelon cocktail, which is similar to a watermelon margarita. It was so good and an absolute steal at $9 on the happy hour menu. We went to Disney Springs on Christmas Day in the late afternoon and, as expected, just about every restaurant had over an hour wait for a party of five with no reservations. We were about to give up when we decided to check STK just to see. To our surprise, they were accepting walk ins and the wait was only about 15 minutes. We happily waited and were seated pretty quickly. They were clearly very busy, so we expected the food to take a while, but everything came out in a reasonable amount of time and was cooked exactly as ordered. The bread arrived a bit late, but that was because they were baking a fresh batch, which was totally fine. My only real complaint was the Chilean sea bass. At $68, the portion was very small. It was extremely flavorful and cooked perfectly, moist and not rubbery at all, but the portion just did not justify the price. My wife's NY strip was cooked exactly to her requested medium well. The lobster tail with mac and cheese was also very good. My son finished his entire meal and the mac and cheese, which says a lot. Despite how crowded and hectic it was, the hostess remained calm, polite, and professional. Our waiter was also great and very efficient. STK at Disney Springs is one of the most overrated restaurants I've ever been to. They charge luxury steakhouse prices for food that wouldn't survive at a chain restaurant. I should have taken the hint and gone somewhere else when the stale tasting bread loaf was served. We requested another loaf, and it tasted exactly the same. Maybe stale bread is the new steakhouse trend? All the main dishes are served à la carte, and the sides were over twenty dollars on top of sixty to one hundred dollar entrées. That alone would be fine if the food were actually good, but it wasn't. The tater tots were mediocre at best, and the Brussels sprouts were overcooked, dry, and tasted like burnt bacon. Our server ended up removing the Brussels sprouts from the bill since none of us touched them after the first bite. Tina, our server, is the reason I gave two stars instead of one. She was friendly, attentive, and made the experience a little better. Now for the cocktails. My wife ordered the espresso martini and said it was decent, but not even as good as the one from our local burger joint. For a twenty two dollar "craft cocktail," I expected much better. I ordered two dirty vodka martinis with blue cheese olives, which came with a four dollar upcharge on an already twenty plus dollar drink. When the order was taken, I was asked if I wanted olives, but no one mentioned there would be an extra charge. It's not the money that bothered me, we already expected outrageous Disney Springs pricing. It's the principle of charging extra for olives in a martini, which traditionally comes with olives. To make matters worse, the drinks were so watered down that after two martinis I barely felt anything at all. The entire place feels more focused on loud music, Instagram photos, and pretending to be exclusive than actually delivering quality food and drinks. After paying nearly four hundred dollars for three entrées (chicken, shrimp scampi, and salmon), one salad, two sides, and three cocktails for a party of four, the experience was honestly embarrassing, both for me and for STK. Food wise: steak and frites (slivers on 10 fries) but good, mushroom fritters -amazing, tots with a surprise cheese inside -amazing, short rib quesadilla- meh, other items pretty standard. The drinks were on point! One maybe 2 and you're happy! Brunch- it was ok. The bread basket comes with 1 croissant, 1cinnamon roll and no icing, and 3 baguettes (hard). The Caesar salad was delicious. We had to ask for them to bring out the 2nd course after the cold items, as it was a bit slow. Presentation is good and the food is, I'm just not big on dry waffles. I want to preface my review acknowledging the level of scrutiny I'll be applying... if this was a $150 meal, I would rate accordingly, but the cost was easily twice that, so my expectations are a wee bit higher than normal. I'll start with the ambiance. The downstairs of STK Disney Springs looked lovely and comfortable, perhaps more appropriate for a date night. The upstairs area we were seated in had much harsher light and it was cold enough (with chilly weather outside) that the staff were all donning their shell jackets while conducting indoor service. Onto the food. They only have bottled beer and a decent selection of wine and custom cocktails. The bread service had an excellent flavor drizzle but it's clear the bread itself had been sitting for some time and was rather dried out. We ordered the 10oz filet and Australian flatiron wagyu - the steaks were cooked perfectly and were absolutely the highlight of the meal (and I'd hope so as the namesake of the restaurant). We chose the charred sprouts and truffle fries for sides, good but not mind blowing - we were advised to get two, but really we could have settled with one. We finished the meal off with the signature dessert "the cloud." While the presentation is fun the desert itself was... not good. The butter cake was almost too dense to pull a fork through and the accompanying berries were unripe. Skip desert here and grab something yummy from a neighboring business at Disney Springs. STK is one of my favorite places to come for Magical Dining between August 15- September 30. Magical Dining is hosted by Visit Orlando, and this year is the 20th anniversary of restaurants all around Orlando providing 3 course fixed menus for $40 or $60 with upgrades as options. A portion of the proceeds goes to a local charitable organization, and this years is the REED Charitable Foundation that works hard to end the literary crisis. My husband and I took the very first night being a Friday to have a date night for $60/pp so if you are familiar with STK, you know that's a reasonable price. For my first course or appetizer I chose the lil BRGs, that came with two on a cutting board with STK engraved in it. They were very juicy so make sure you careful to lean over your plate or you will have juices in your lap or on your shirt! The special sauce, cheese, tomato and pickle made for the best bite, through and through. For my entree, I upgraded my 8oz skirt steak to the Australian Wagyu and it was worth the upgrade! The steak was well seasoned (not only salt), to the point the side of chimichurri wasn't even needed. It was extremely tender despite my need to have my steak medium well, LOL, and I enjoyed every single bite! I was under the impression I'd still get the fingerling potatoes even though I upgraded but I didn't. So, I'm not sure if that was a first night mishap or because I upgraded that I didn't receive them. It was fine for me though as we did add on the creamed spinach as a side to split as well because it's a favorite of ours. By the time I got to dessert I was ready to explode. I ate a bite or two of the chocolate cake just to taste it and brought the rest home. It's very chocolatey and topped with lots of crumbles. It felt like a "dirt pudding" in cake form. Despite how sweet it is, I still feel like it needs a scoop of vanilla ice cream and served extra warm and I just know it would be incredible. We had a great night being sat on the patio terrace upstairs. There were fans, misters, and the music was just enough that we could still talk which was great. Other than the tuna tartare (pictured) do NOT waste your money eating here. My husband ordered the 16 oz. ribeye and I had the "beef shank" (using quotes because it was basically pot roast and mashed potatoes- shank indicates a bone in the dish that is not the case)- both desperately needed salt. The old fashioned my husband ordered was also not good- tasted very cheap- like well liquor and not makers mark. Our total bill for an appetizer, 2 mains, 1 side, and 2 drinks was $268 w/out tip for food that was not very good And they don't give you the Disney visa discount unlike everyone at Disney.
