I'm pretty sure I was approached by 5 people at 5 different times of my visit. The most helpful one was Milan. Not only did she direct us to different tile sections, she gave lots of suggestions and also gave us her opinions. She also would get a sample of a tile that she thought might look good. At the end of our shopping selection for a bathroom, she printed out all the options we selected and printed us a copy so they're all in one place. I would definitely come back. NCK reordered countertops, took two month, same result. Countertops were made by Caesarstone and according to the company are within specs. So go figure! Also during the install a cabinet door was scratched. White NCK accepted responsibility I had to go to their office in person for reimbursement! NCKs customer service is apparently outsourced to Philippines, which apparently makes then unable to do refunds remotely. How does that makes any sense? IKEA was no help throughout either. I'm happy with neither IKEA, nor NCK, nor Caesarstone.

A lot of contractors and businesses I contacted for quotes ended up either not showing up because the job was too small or they gave me outrageous quotes, but Farr was the only one to give a fair quote and a detailed scope of work. My previous roommate and I were absolutely thrilled with the final result, and the showers were a big selling point when I sold off my condo. Fast forward 2 years later and we purchased our first house which needed a lot of cosmetic renovations. Both bathrooms were very outdated with cracked tiles, smudged or old fixtures, bathtub, vanity, etc so we needed a full gut. Again Farr came out and was able to give me a competitive fair price for 2 bathroom renovations and it came out EXACTLY what I asked for, and even came back to touch up a few issues I pointed out after the job was almost complete! The TLDR/most important…read moretakeaways are: make your order in person and be assertive about asking for help rather than waiting for staff to come to you First, I visited every place that sold countertop and tile in the east Bay Area. USSS&T had the best prices by a significant amount. I looked at all their options, got quotes, and went home to think about it. I ended up returning in person to place my order, and I STRONGLY recommend anybody who wants to place an order do so in person. Most of the staff do not seem to have English as their first language so a miscommunication might be more likely to happen over the phone. Also, when I picked the stone I wanted for my countertop, they actually allowed me into the warehouse area where I was permitted to pick which slab I wanted of the ones available. That's not an experience most places will offer. They helped us load the tile into our car and we scheduled a time for them to install the countertop. Brief note that I emailed them about making an order the same morning that I decided to go in person, and they took over two weeks to reply to my email. So again, ORDER IN PERSON. They arrived at the time they'd said they would. I will say they told me they'd arrive "after 1pm", and the day of installation around 11am I got a call from USSS&T saying the installation guys would actually be arriving an hour early, at noon. They ended up arriving at 1pm anyways. So they got right down to business, very efficient and polite, made sure to check in with me and my contractor at each step. The whole thing was done in about 1.5 hours. I really recommend them. I also want to note that some other reviews mention the staff members seem unenthusiastic or rude. There's obviously a cultural difference here. The staff members were never rude or anything to me, they were very professional. If you want help at the store you can't just wait around hoping for somebody to approach you. You have to go up to a staff member and ASK to be helped. At this point they are happy to help and will be very efficient. They are also all knowledgable so no matter who you get to help you they'll be able to answer any question you have.

Ultimately we decided to have US Superior perform the install as well. We could not be more impressed with the service from start to finish. Fast forward to 2026, we had a couple cabinet repairs to be addressed. I called them out fully expecting to pay for any repairs. Randi sent their team out to address the issues which took all of an hour, if that. To my surprise there was no charge. I truly appreciate US Superior for not only delivering a great product but standing behind it!
