Ronson installed my shower glass door about eight years ago ago. It's now become hard to slide open and close one of the doors. My review of YouTube indicated that I needed a special tool to adjust the door. So I called Ronson to have them come and adjust the door. Ronson said they would do it for free and a couple of their employees came by the following day. It turns out that I needed two special tools to adjust the door. They adjusted both doors and now they slide perfectly again. Not only that, but they just hit the doors so that the gaps between the corners of the doors and the shower wall were now filled in. We had a terrible experience with Ronson shower glass and mirror.Kevin came out and we explained exactly what we wanted which was a glass door that slid in both directions. When it was installed, that was not the case. It would have cost us so much more to have it redone so we settled for a couple hundred discounted. The team that installed made several mistakes stating their drill slipped and they filled the holes with grout in a mismatched color. They installed this shower door improperly and it leaked every time someone took a shower. Their resolution? A small rubber piece that did absolutely nothing. Eventually, we had the door removed all together resulting in a significant cost and we had to have the tub refinished. We also purchased a mirror from this company. During installation, they scratched the back of the mirror and I now have an unsightly scratch that can be seen from the front of the mirror. Overall, my recommendation is to avoid this company at all costs. read more

This is the second time I've used their service and I thought to stay with something familiar based on a friend's original suggestion to use them for a shower door. The first shower door I bought from them was 3/8 in. thick framed custom door for about $1300 maybe 13 years ago. This summer I bought another custom shower door that was 1/2 in. thick frame-less for $2450. I did get a couple quotes from the same caliber of glass door makers and found that the cost was about the same. After they came out for measurements and getting my wishlist, they gave me their lead time for the door which wasn't long. I believe it was going to be under 3 weeks time. I paid them in full since I've used their service before. Unfortunately, their communication for status updates for when the door would arrive at their location definitely needs improvement. I think that since they had my money, they felt like they could just slack a little. It was myself who called and prompted them for information. After the first call to them, they said the door would come early. (10 days after ordering) I thought great. They said they would call to schedule a time to come out for install. I gave them my work schedule so that they would know if I didn't answer, it was because I would be busy. On that 10th thru 12th day, I didn't receive a call. Two days later I gave them a call for information and they said they called and left a message. Unfortunately, I didn't get it. But nevertheless, I wanted to schedule an appointment for installation. And so I did. I took the day off work to be present instead of their team being inside the house with my kids. The time came for the appointment and they did not show up!! I called them and there was an excuse saying they called, left a message about how they had to reschedule. There was no number on my call log from them and it was very disappointing to cause me to take the day off (not getting paid) and then them not showing up. On the subsequent appointment, they did show up to install. The team did a fair job but the door slided away from the wall prompting me to call them again to fix the problem. They were able to order a seal that has a slight grip on the glass so it doesn't slide. All in all, I was satisfied but the number of mishaps and communication gap was quite disappointing. It'll be a while to need them for glass but I may look around before resorting to them again. read more

We had a shower door that was installed back in 2004 by Ronson. I've been having trouble opening and closing the door and the boot at the bottom had torn. I called Ronson and was told that they will give me a new boot. I went to pick it up and talked with Adam. He explained that the door might need an adjustment after 17 years. Kevin called me to schedule a visit by the installers. They came to check the door but my cleaning ladies were in the bathroom and it would be a few minutes. One of the ladies came to me and said the other lady was stuck in the shower. Thank goodness the guys were waiting for them to finish. They saved the cleaning lady! My contractor used Ronson Shower Glass & Mirrors back in 2004 on my house. That shower door was really nicely done so when I undertook a total remodel at my mom's house I shopped around for EVERYTHING including shower doors. I looked online and I got a bid through my contractor using his glass guy. I got sticker shock at the cost! I called Ronson Glass to compare. They charge half of what my contractors sub would have cost!!! They charge less than some of the shower doors you can find at Home Depot or Lowe's and their price INCLUDES installation! They did a fantastic job and I love the results a lot! It's a quality door with perfect finishes it fits the space perfectly!! My master bathroom was recently remodeled this past December. I had originally gotten bids from Dan's Glass in the Concord area. They pretty much had THEIR OWN CA Code rules saying that the door opening must be a minimum of 25" in width. As it so happens Code is 22" in width. My general contractor gave me a list of glass companies that he had worked with in the past, and I went through each one and determined Ronson Glass was the one. Ronson Glass was a referral from my contractor....and my contractor will only choose people who meet his standards of excellence & workmanship. Ronson Glass did a superb job on several of our bath projects! Our masterbath had a frameless 2 walled glass shower with a door that was 7' tall. The heavy doors were attached to the walls. (the contractor leveled the walls first). Our other bath was a simple one glass wall & door. Both glass doors close properly and there's no water leakage. Ronson Glass had many choices of shower handles. On one of the shower doors, a simple cylindrical pull was installed. The door was too difficult close using that pull, so Kevin showed me a catalog of other shower pulls and was able to order a knob for me. Beside glass shower doors, they also fabricated and installed two 8' mirrors...one frameless and the other with a frame. Both mirrors were unscratched. The 7' beveled mirror came out beautifully (considering the length of the mirror). The team that installed the shower doors and mirrors were respectful. I would use them again! read more

Mario came out from Ronson and worked on persistent leaking problems from Ronson's four-year-old shower door install. He told me that the original shower door was not installed or even sealed properly by Ronson, and he said he would come back again, if necessary, to make it right. However, after calling Kevin, the owner, a week or so later about further leaking, and waiting weeks for Kevin to, "get back to me," I went with another company to repair the door. I am a senior and the owner Kevin is always rude, condescending, and even talks over me on the phone. I would rather pay someone else than deal with him ever again. read more

I remodeled one of the bathrooms 2 years ago and went to Ronson for the shower door. I remember them to have a good material selection, informative staff and have been happy with the look and quality since. A couple of weeks ago, the tray at the bottom of the door fell off, so I went to the office to find out how to reinstall. I spoke to Kevin and he decided to come out and reset it for me, even though it was out of warranty. When they came, they decided it would be better to take the whole door back to the shop and reset everything there, which they did, then came back and put it all back together. I am still not happy with the shower door this company made for us. In Oct/Nov 2016 our contractor recommended them to us, so we went with it. Problems back and forth. Finally Kevin sent someone back to investigate the inch gap between the glass door and the wall.. The guy that originally came out to measure, came out again. and said that the wall was crooked. I just kinda looked at him, not getting what he was saying. The wall looks fine to me. Then he put his level on the wall, the level looked straight to me. He insisted the wall was crooked. Our old shower door fit fine, so why not now? I can stick my entire finger through the gap and although we don't use that shower, because its the guest bathroom, every time I go into the bathroom for something, I look at that damn gap and it pisses me off to no end. As far as I am concerned they passed it off as our fault. They just didn't want to remake the door as we originally requested. So we have a crooked shower door. Would I recommend these people? I had a very difficult shower glass install, but Ronson Glass did a great job. The glass wasn't cut exactly right the first couple of times, but they wanted it right, so they had the glass fabricated again and came out again. They were out to work on the job at least five times, and except for the next to the last crew, everyone was great. The two guys who were out to "finish" the shower did a really sloppy job with the caulk, installed the door unevenly, and left metal shavings and plastic pieces on the shower and bathroom floor. When I called Ronson glass about the problem, Kevin and another guy came out and made it right. I was told that the two guys who did the sloppy work and left a mess were no longer working for the company. In the end, I'm very pleased with the results. If it hadn't been for the two guys who said they were "done" and then left without doing the work properly and left a mess, I would have given 5 stars. I had Ronson Glass & Mirror recommended by the folks who remodeled my bathroom, they installed my sliding shower door and a custom mirror. The shower door came out nicely, overall I'm satisfied, but the custom mirror (which had to follow a wave pattern of the tiles) is not right ! it was cut short on one of the sides and there is no perfect symmetry with the lighting fixtures. I told this to Kevin upfront and he immediately offered a discount of 200$ off the 500$ what was the cost of the mirror. I rather wanted to replace the mirror because after all the investment I've made in the bathroom, perfection was required. They were about to call me back to schedule the replacement, obviously that never happened. I called them a couple of times, left messages ..etc whenever someone responded the phone, Kevin was never available ..etc It beats me why they would choose not to handle this small issue over a couple hundreds of $ and ruin their reputation (though seeing their other reviews, they are not stellar), after all they installed a 1000$+ shower door and got bogged down over a sloppy mirror work. I wish I could say about Kevin : "ein mann, ein wort" but he is actually "ein mann, nein wort" .. stay away fellas ! read more

Bad experience from start to end except for the estimate! Don't know why I believed all the good reviews, they are all fake! Came on time for estimate and was very friendly and looked professional, so I hired them right away and was charged $200 deposit and told my mirror will be installed in 5-7 days. 10 days gone by, I had to call them to follow up, and they said the mirror was just about to be ready for me (it would probably never be ready if I didn't call!) Installation was scheduled 1 week later but called me 2 days before trying to come the next day but it was not a good day for me so I suggested come after the week but then they said they would keep the original appointment. The appointment window was 1-4, my son had a dental appointment at 4:30 so I started to get worry when there was still no sign of them at 3:00 so I called to find out when they would arrive and was told it will be another hour so I cancelled my son's dental appointment. Guess what? At 3:45, they called to say they were not going to make it that day! They came today, mirror was fine, but to add more security, I have requested to add clips which they charged me $40. But to my greatest dissatisfaction, what I got for the additional charge was 7 dirty used clips (for 3 large mirrors) and three holes on the wall. He missed and nailed the clips on the wrong spots so the screws came out and he had to do it in a different place. I asked him to patch the holes, he said he didn't have the materials and I had to buy and do it myself. Do not use them! read more

Ronson's replaced our shower glass doors yesterday. The work was completed in less than an hour and the job was well done. Lora was exceptionally helpful when placing the order, as she was able to locate historical records that identified the type of doors we needed. Kevin and Martin were both professional and knowledgeable. The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating is because there is room for better follow-up with the customer on scheduling of the installation. That said, once we contacted them they were prompt in responding and scheduling our install. We have had Ronson supply glass and mirrors several times. They immediately made right the one minor issue we had (a piece of glass was miscut). Kevin, the owner, is helpful and very knowledgeable. Prices are excellent as is the product. Products supplied to us: Glass shower enclosure for steam shower, mirror for bath vanity with cutouts for light fixtures, laminated glass for interior doors, clear glass for cabinet doors, and large mirrors for a gym. Ronson was even able to cut a mirror that we removed from a bathroom so that it could be reused in the gym. All installations have been very well executed - particularly in view of the challenges of installing glass and mirrors in spaces with uneven and out of plumb walls. We will not buy buy glass anywhere else. read more
