Despite having to make several revisions to the configurations along the way, he was still very understanding and patient through it all and ultimately was able to accurately portray our vision of the end result by matching my design 1 for 1. He's also very knowledgeable in his expertise as he offered his opinions on my design and was quick to point out any flaws with it. He was also very thoughtful in a sense that he tried to correct my kitchen design to make it as safe as possible knowing that we have a little baby around the house. The quality of the cabinets is top notch superb. No damage during the receiving process. The fitment was outstanding. Our contractor was able to install everything with ease. Everything came out to be a perfect tight fit with no gap or sagging issues. We were very happy to have settled with the European style cabinets as they are a lot more customizable and easily modifiable to fit one's needs. Not to mention they also look much more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes especially with the walnut laminate panels. Spoke to 4 different employees and I felt like I was being traded of to the next person. They lacked knowledge of the inventory and delivery dates. They Also lacked knowledge on pricing. Didn't get the customer service I expected so we left not purchasing anything. It's not cheap to buy here, so at least give me your undivided attention as a customer or I can just go somewhere else and spend my money. Remodeling is a long process. We visited over eight cabinet shops ( including shops in San Jose area ) and finally decided to work with Kelvin. Comparing with other shops materials and price, ZMC is the best. We also received a great customer service. Kevin is super nice and have a lot of patience. He provided a lot of great ideas to us. Whenever we had questions , he usually responded to our email/text within a couple of hours. ... even during his day off. One thing I learnt during the process. I came here with my parents to look at kitchen cabinets and was shocked at how many displays there were. They have a variety of different color combinations so you can better envision what your ideal kitchen would look like (matching top and bottom dresser colors, or mismatched color combos, along with different handle trims). The representatives were super friendly and eager to come help and show us the different options. They tend to assign each visitor with the same sales representative so that they have context the next time you come back, which is nice so they understand what you're looking for. Looked for a place that had bathroom hardware and this place is located conveniently close to the freeway. I called to find that there is no requirement for an appointment. Walking into this place there is signage for face mask requirements. I leisurely strolled through to see several mock kitchens for one to get inspiration. There was an area where they have some stone slabs on display and an area where they have shower systems and toilets. I didn't feel like anybody noticed that I was there and cared to ask until I was ready to leave. I entertained the idea to give them a chance. I had inquired about what I was specifically looking for. The lady directed me to where the bathroom accessories were which I had already seen. I inquired again for what I was looking for and asked if they could be ordered. I gathered that what you see is what you get. But, in my opinion, there should be the ability to order other things since space is limited in a showroom and you can't hold everything on there. She directed me to a website and basically left me without interest to follow through and create the sale. I was left dismayed. Considering their competitor Tubz is directly next door and I had done business with them in the past, I'll be looking at them instead. October last year I started my kitchen remodeling project. I visited a few vendors and eventually I decided to go with ZMC for a few reasons. 1) I am a visual person and ZMC showroom gave me the inspiration to think what I need; 2) remodeling process and purchasing materials are also important part of the experience. I want to have someone to bounce my ideas and I found sales representative Mia is vey pleasant to talk to; 3) saving $100-200 dollars wasn't my goal. Besides, ZMC's price is competitive. My goal is to design my new kitchen to my satisfaction. I bought all materials from them(cabinets, countertops, backsplash and flooring materials). During installation by my contractor, Mia reminded me if the contractor needed any installation instructions, contact her directly. As expected, I had a couple of hiccups on the cabinets during installation. Mainly the dimension issues (important advise to all of you, check the dimensions), we worked through one-by-one. I won't recommend this company to anyone. Very negative experience. So, I was told by a guy in the showroom, that this is the best place to buy cabinets. He said he was super happy with his projects and he would always use this place, blah, blah, blah. So, I took him at his word and went with them. I had to argue with Jessie about the cabinets not being right. She gave me so much grief, it was ridiculous. The people installing it were aweful. They had my kitchen sink so, off center, Ray Charles could see it wasn't right. Jessie told me they would drywall the holes in the walls and drywall the pony wall. NOT!! I was so put off by the whole 4-5 week experience. My kitchen is 10' x 9" and cost $7,600 for just cabinets and counters. read more

I shopped around for my cabinets for our kitchen at various places in south bay but did not like any of them either because of the price or the customer service or the selection. We stumbled into ZMC Cabinets during one of our visits to Fremont. Our experience working with ZMC has been nothing but excellent from the get-go. Kelvin Li (designer/sales person) patiently worked with us on iterating many times over the cabinet layout of our large kitchen and some of our custom needs that are not easy to meet such as an integrated prayer room and special cabinets for designer appliances and multiple sinks. Kelvin was a wizard in cabinet layout design and never did he give us a sales pitch or pressured us in any particular direction or decision during our interaction with him. This gave us time to think about our design and choices. The suggestions that Kelvin gave in our cabinet selection and layout were very useful, and in retrospect made the overall remodel excellent. Not only are the cabinets of very good quality but they came on time as promised well ahead of our schedules. Kelvin also gave us a very good discount on the cabinets due to the large size of our order. We went back to him for multiple additional items due to some last minute changes that we made during installation, and he was there all along to help us. Also, we had to return some unused items and return and refunds was never a problem. Another person that we had the pleasure of working, though briefly, was Grace, manager of the store. She was very helpful and took care of our needs when Kelvin was away from work. Overall, the staff was very helpful and courteous. Ina is very knowledgable with cabinets and suggested what should be the best look for our new kitchen rennovation. They will give you discount only if you are buying a big purchase such as the entire cabinet sets with granite and sink. They are willing to give you the lowest possible price. I came to obviusly pay a cheaper price but above average quality cabinets. Ina suggested some that are good quality. There are some that are not as good of a quality and she made sure she inform us that. They are honest with the products. My contractor with 25+ experiece couldnt agree more. Did i mention the cabinets look great!? Once i realized they have a good service, i bought bathroom vanity cabinets from them, which is made with real wood btw. The first thing they did was to lay double protection mats to our cherry wood floor in our kitchen, which was one of our main concerns for the project as we told both Jeffrey and Ivy that we didn't want the floor to be damaged due to installation. When the project was completed and they took away the protection mats, we were glad to see that there was no scratch at all on the floor. The installation team possessed good craftsmanship. Kenny was extremely responsible, very detailed oriented and with high working standards. He double measured everything before the installation of each cabinet and each piece of countertops. Every day before the team left for the day, he would inspect all the work they completed for the day and made any correction needed. We were very satisfied with the final result of the project. It was completed on time. When we started this project, many of our friends warned us that missing deadline was almost a norm in remodeling. When we told them that our project was completed on time, they were quite surprised. In summary, we are extremely satisfied with the project from the beginning to the end. The install had a bit of an issue but the company fixed it. I would use them again at my other rentals, but would watch the install a little closer. Note to corner sink projects- the corner cabinet box is Really small... consider a bigger box. If you go with the smaller box- consider an extra wide filler on the dishwasher side... or even a 6 inch cabinet between sink box and dishwasher.... otherwise loading the dishwasher while standing at sink is pretty tight. Also, the size of the sink gets problematic due to the countertop seams... bigger box would help this issue or don't use granite.... read more

A very dishonest business with sloppy practices. I will never buy from them again. I ordered a set of Grohe faucets from them, with an original price of $984.34. We negotiated it down to $950.00. They said their credit card machine wasn't working, so they took our card info and said would put it into the system later. Then they charged us TWICE at $984.34 without proactively correcting it. We called them multiple times and they finally reversed one of the $984.34 charge, but refused to charge us at the agreed up amount of $950.00, and told us that the negotiation never happened. $34.34 is not really that much, but enough for them to blatantly lie to their customers. I will never ever do business with them again, and you probably shouldn't either. == update 11/14 == First off, I'd like to thank the manager Danny for taking over and helping us out. We eventually got most of our problems sorted out with his help. If you purchase from ZMC, talk to Danny directly. All other reps are probably not worth your time. Ok, more on what happened. As it turns out, most of our troubles originated from Grace, the sales rep. In addition to the snafu around payments, we also had the following issues: 1. She failed to deliver two items on time, and failed to tell us about it. We had to make multiple trips back to pick up the missing merchandise. 2. The shower + valve + trim set she put together for us did not work at all. The Grohe trim she sold us had only a temperature controller, and no volume control. When we called back to ask about it, she immediately went ballistic and started yelling at us for bothering her about the $34.34 she thought we were calling about, when in fact we were asking about the product that she selected for us which did not work. It took us a great deal of effort to escalate to Danny, the manager, who looked at the order and realized that Grace had made a mistake. Danny was very attentive and eventually helped us replace the trim so we could move forward, and was very polite throughout the process. I have adjusted my rating to 2-star because of Danny, but as long as Grace is at ZMC, I cannot convince myself to set it any higher. This sales person is extremely unprofessional, makes a lot of mistakes, and has a very very bad attitude. Again, if you do go to ZMC, please ask for a different rep if she's serving you. read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone. Beware when purchasing from here ! My wife and I ordered 3 items from them they told us it would take about a week. A week goes by so I call them and they state it will be a few more days which was no big deal. I call that Monday when I am supposed to pick up, they inform me that 2 of the pieces did not come in and will now take 2 months to get !! The vanity which was the third item came in and was the wrong size, they did not communicate any of this with us until we contacted them. The customer service was terrible and they were rude. We were refunded the full amount after Grace continuously tried to push the wrong size vanity to us and tried to have us wait 2 months for the other pieces. I called U-save kitchen and bath , set an appointment, and the service was better. Not only that but they had a better price !! My advice from my experience, find someone else to do business with ! read more
