I've been to this store only a handful of times. It seems to be in the middle of an artery of traffic, very busy & popular. I absolutely love every Gate I go in to. Cashier's are helpful, friendly and fast. Stores are all meticulously clean-inside and outside. I won a gas card for $25.00, by signing up for the sweepstakes. Thank you! Gate Petroleum - Gas Stations Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

This is probably one of the worst gas stations I have ever had the displeasure of visiting in my entire life. Let me give you a rundown really quickly. To start off, when I walked in, there was already a spilled coffee near the left-side entrance that didn't have a wet floor sign on it; do you know how much of a safety hazard that is? Speaking of coffee, not only were the variations all horrendously overpriced, but two of the coffee bean variations were swapped compared to the actual labels on the dispensers; talk about false advertising! I went to try and get some dessert, but the dispensers for that weren't working either, and the ice within the bags had basically all but melted; you might as well have been selling pure water in a bag at that point. And don't even get me started on the absolutely astronomical gas prices at this location; I mean, seriously? Upwards of $4 a gallon? That's highway robbery......which is what I would say if it was actually affordable to drive on the highway right now, which it's not. On top of that, let me end this off with my restroom experience. Apparently, when I tried to use the restroom, the restroom was closed for cleaning......which would be fine, except that there were no obvious signs or posted labels indicating to me that the restroom was closed, or that there was someone currently even in the process of cleaning it to begin with! Imagine my surprise and shock when I walked in on the custodian in the middle of them cleaning the restroom......and they have the gall to get mad at me for "walking in on them", even though there was no clear sign that the restroom was closed for cleaning! I walked out of this gas station in an exponentially worse state than when I walked into it; at that point, I might as well have just relied on my own red Jerry cans at home, because I'm getting too old for this nonsense. "Gate Petroleum"? More like "Gate Pe-TROLL-eum", because I felt pretty trolled by the time my experience was done. If I could give this a negative rating, I would. But I can't, so I'm just going to settle for a one-star rating out of five. As for how they can probably improve......you could probably think of completely cutting off this location's funding, severing the underground gas lines, or just outright demolishing the establishment entirely and replacing it with something actually useful, like an Internet cafe. Always the highest of gas prices even when they are on a decline. $3.47 compared to 3.19-3.29 in a mile radius. Parking lot always has garbage in it. Pumps never work correctly always have to hold the handle the whole time pumping. Receipt never comes out when you ask for a print out. read more

Really busy Gate store early weekday mornings with people bustling in and out to get gas, coffee, smokes, lotto, etc. before heading to work. I stopped by for coffee on the way to work and wasn't too impressed because unlike other Gate stores it wasn't kept up as nice; maybe they were short staffed. Anyway they were out of premium coffee in both urns, so I had a different coffee that wasn't as good; and the coffee station needed a good wipe down. read more

"That's because Paula Deen is a sell out!" This is what I heard coming out of the cashier's mouth as I entered the store. It took everything I had not to burst out in laughter because I didn't know Paula had haters in Jacksonville or be the topic of conversation. This was a our tinkle stop (yeah, I said tinkle) in our 12 hour trek on I-95. The bathrooms are extremely clean and the convenience store has just about anything you need. Kudos' to this gas station for allowing me to drug my child! We were able to snag up Children's Tylenol for our teething toddler (it's molars) and it made the remainder 6 hours of our trip at least bearable. They are also one of the few gas stations off i 95 that sells coconut water. I'm not a health nut by any stretch of the imagination but I believe coconut water is God's gift to those who feel constantly dehydrated. Vita Coco is the brand they carry. So if you're low on electrolytes , you can snag some coconut water up at this gas station. Keep hydrated yo! read more

I don't know but whenever I go in this station the employees are always a problem. I stood with a cup of coffee waiting to pay while the employee was talking to his manager. You would think the manager would tell the employee we can talk later and wait on customer but I finally had to say "can I pay for this!". Then another time I had a lottery ticket and the rude ass employee said I did not rub the scratch off completely! I asked if she had anything so I could rub the rest of the bar code an she said no. Did not even look. Lazy and not motivated. These employees act like they are doing the customer a favor by ringing them up! Hell I just want to pay and get out. Had to cuss outs a Racist piece of crap today at this location. All the cashier's were doing their jobs, it was lunch time so a little busy but the line was moving quickly. Some older man tried to go infront of everyone an the cashier said" I'm sorry, there's a line but it's moving fast". dude got behind me an starting calling her a stupid N**** and when I spun around an asked him what he said, he repeated it.. I'm sorry, I don't ignore idiots like that, and ALL the cashier's were NOTHING but nice. Seems odd to give a gas station four stars, but this location does a great job. The convenience store is well-stocked, bathrooms are clean, there's a car wash on site and the coffee is brewed fresh with all accompanying items supplied. This location is at a busy section of Belfort though--- so traffic can be challenging at times--- but only in the JAX "5 minute delay" kind of way. read more

This gas station is always nice to get gas at as well as the random snack. I just went in and it's not very common for a cashier to have a conversation with you. Ali was very nice and great to talk to. Yes our cover satin with about hamburger buns and cereal but it was refreshing to chit chat. read more

This store was a longtime coming. Years of planning and design. It was also on the end of me long string of building The Gate Petroleum Food Post stores. This store was on the east end of south point area of town. The store is like all the others open, airy, and a good flow to it. They always keep the stores clean and well stocked. They also keep the gas prices lower then what is around them. I have always like them and swing to gate when I can. read more

Complaint: Gate location in Statesboro, Ga. , store # 227, 700 North Side Drive. April 3, 2014, I purchased gas at this location. When I finished fueling my tank, I proceeded to wipe my front windows. About that time, a car with two Africian American women pulled up behind me. One got out and stood at the rear of my automobile . I then walked around to wipe my rear windows. The woman went inside and told an attendant I was taking too much time. The attendant came out asked and asked me to finish up as there were others waiting. There were 5 other lanes with cars, so why were they not told to fishish up? Nevertheless this was disrespectable . I am a 76 year old Caucasian woman and was doing the best i could. The yellow pine pollen has been especially heavy here and my windows needed cleaning for safety sake. This is unacceptable and I will not cater to this station or any Gate station anymore \ I am also writing to Consumer Affairs Complaint Dept.regarding the matter. read more
