I wish I could rate this one higher! We absolutely love GC Krav! 3 of my kids and my husband take classes here and it has been a blessing to each of us! My kids have learned so much about self defense and being able to take care of themselves if a situation turns bad. They not only are physically capable but also mentally. I recently started attending some classes at GCKM. I actually used to train with the owner when he was running classes over near Huntington Beach. Noi is a great instructor for people of all skill levels and ages. The other instructors are also very good. This location is close to my work so I've started training here and really enjoy it. This is a good training environment for anyone and is free of people trying to prove something--I've seen none of that nonsense here. This place is great for kids too. The class structure is very good. They always start with a warmup of 5-15 minutes and it's as intense as you want it to be. Then they typically get into teaching technique and you practice that for a good part of the class. Sometimes there will be longer periods of striking/punching/kicking that are a great workout. A couple times a week they have fight classes for those that have earned at least the first belt (yellow). These classes are much more intense but fun. You wear protective gear and do some sparring. And sometimes do groundwork, which involves some jiu-jitsu type maneuvers. These classes tend to be much harder and provide some great cardio. read more

I decided to check out this place at the recommendation of a friend. In the beginning, I was very intimidated because I am not naturally athletic. I consider myself a bit weaker than the average person. I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me if I wanted to learn Krav Maga and to even just keep up in class.
