Wow, first time taking this shuttle to the airport and got major attitude from the driver. I just had to put my luggage on the shuttle and was asking to make sure it was going to the airport. The guy just kept complaining that I was making him 5 minutes late and didn't even bother to help with my luggage. What a jerk! Mario was our driver and he was an awesome guy. It was my buddy's girlfriends birthday so she got a party bus and it was a blast. Mario was patient with out drunk asses and stopped whenever we needed to go to the bathroom which ended up being like 8 times. I would definitely use them for anything else from now on. Planned my wifes 70th birthday a few month ago. Was recommended to gateway global by people in the industry. Joe Amato and Amy were very helpful in getting the right vehicle for the event. We rented a 27 person limo bus for 5 hours. We planned around 25 ladies to go to a winery and have lunch, drink wine and celebrate my wifes birthday. They confirmed the day before and the limo bus and driver were right on time. The bus was immaculate and the driver Man Louie was pleasant and could not do enough for us. By far the worst shuttle service in the SFO area. Their shuttle drivers are rude and regularly skip the hotel shuttle stops in SFO. When calling on their managers they never call back and the hotel receptionists are also bad at following up (claiming it's a private vendor not associated with the hotel). Bottom line the shuttle service is not reliable and though I never used their limo service I don't really want to give them any business. Is much rather Uber. read more

Limo companies are always kind of sketchy because you never know that car you'll get and if your driver knows how to drive the thing. But, Gateway limo seemed to be professional and their cars were updated and clean (I checked their fleet out in Burlingame). The inside was roomy and though they upgraded us to the 10 person limo for 8 people, it doesn't look as though 10 adults could have fit comfortably - maybe 9 at the most. They provided complementary beer, water, soda, and "mystery" liqueur that was unlabeled in glass bottles. Needless to say, we just stuck to the known beverages. Our driver was Paul and he was nice and on time. Their prices are similar to any other limo company (not cheap). My only feedback to the company would be install GPS navigations in the limos. Paul was forced to use his poor cell phone to navigate around, and we almost landed up on the complete opposite side of the city. Overall though, I would probably use this company again. read more

The airport hotel shuttle has a look that stands alone, contemporary, clean, that of a party bus, my experience was just that! After flying for 10 hours the driver had the music up so loud it was uncomfortable and the kicker when a MJ dance song came on he turned the music up to an night club level. Unprofessional! We used Gateway limos and buses for our daughter's wedding this saturday night. The wedding ceremony was at the Palace of Fine Arts at noon and the reception/dinner was at Yank Sing's atrium at the Rincon Annex in San Francisco hours later at 6.. My wife's family members came from out of town and were staying at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame as were the bridesmaids. The groom's family members, also from out of town, were at a hotel in Downtown SF. The groom was at his North Beach apt. To say the least, the logistics were complicated. Different buses and limos had to pick up the family members and wedding party on the Peninsula and in SF and at our home (parents of the bride) at two different times of the day and night. The motor choreography went seamlessly ... the drivers were extremely pleasant. And they were all on time!!!!! Will we recommend Gateway to friends and the public? Absolutely without question! Gateway Transportation provided one of several vans we hired for shuttling guests between the Palo Alto Sheraton and Stanford Church for our daughter's wedding. It was easy to communicate with the pleasant Gateway staff during the planning stages, and they answered emails promptly. On the day of the wedding, the short shuttles rides between the two sites were made difficult by heavy soccer game traffic, but the Gateway driver did the best he could. STRANDED AT SFO INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL!!! A warning to future travelers like me. I'm a quadraplegic male whose sole mobility is keyed with an electric power chair. On Monday, July 14th, Gateway did an adequate job of getting my wife (also my caregiver) to SFO for our flight to Vancouver, B.C. They had a bus WITH ELECTRIC LIFT on it to get me on the bus. But on Monday, July 21st, after waiting for a return bus to their parking lot we were told that they had NO BUSES WITH ELECTRIC LIFT that night!!!!! This after we had made reservations with Gateway a month earlier and my wife had even called them on Friday, July 11th, before we left to make sure that they had ELECTRIC LIFT BUS for both days. We were assured it was NOTED! Well, that was a joke. If we had been traveling by ourselves, we would have been stranded. Fortunately, our children and grandchildren were traveling with us. They caught the next Gateway bus, picked up our wheelchair van and drove back to SFO so we could FINALLY GET HOME! For us, if it was allowed on Yelp, I would've given Gateway ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!! read more

I used gateway for a last minute back and forth to a concert last weekend and they were great! Emailed the company and, as others have said, Joel responded immediately and made the set up super easy. The driver was early, the ride was clean and comfortable and he made an unscheduled quick stop for us on the way to the show. After the event he was ready to go and easy to find which is a problem I've had in the past with other services. Only reason I withheld a star is because it was a little bit pricey. Thank you Gateway Limo for the great service for our daughters wedding last Saturday, June 15, 2013. I was concerned when you called to say that the 10 passenger limos had been pulled from your fleet due to the accident on the San Mateo bridge a few months back (even though not your company involved). You offered the Van Terra in replacement and this turn out to be a much better option for transporting the bridal party to the ceremony site. The van was spacious and allowed the bride to be able to sit comfortably. The driver was so accommodating in waiting with us (bride & groom did first look pics) and in going with the flow of the constant wedding party popping in an out for picture. The driver even helped shuttle some of the guest up to the clubhouse who had gotten rides to the wedding and didn't have their cars. Over all a very positive experience and we will definitely be booking with you again. read more
