He even showed me drone footage of my roof and pointed out all the problem areas of my almost 40 year old roof. During the whole process, he was very accommodating and provided updates along the way. While the project start was postponed due to weather, it was worth the wait as they did a great job with redoing the underlayment of my entire roof in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them for any future projects and to my friends and family as they were very competitive in pricing compared to others while maintaining quality work.

During the teardown, we discovered that one of the walls hadn't been properly constructed originally. Cesar caught the issue immediately, and all the leaks are now completely resolved. They also uncovered some unexpected wood rot during the process, but instead of massive upcharges, Cesar gave me a very fair and reasonable rate to handle the repairs properly. As part of the project, they installed sound-absorbing insulation under the new siding. The difference is night and day--the house is much quieter now, completely weatherproofed, and the exterior looks gorgeous. Cesar is honest, highly skilled, hardworking, and possesses excellent communication skills. His team showed up, stayed on the job, and finished the entire project remarkably fast. During the demolition we discovered that there was extensive water damage and that the source of the leak as the walls around the deck. Oscar's team repaired all the damage, installed a new roof, replaced the waterproofing on the walls, and redid the siding, followed by installation of a redwood deck. At each step he came clear explanations of our choices and options for repair and gave us a choice of deck options. The team was polite and cleaned up the job site thoroughly when they were complete. The final result looks great and is clearly much better done than the original roof. I would definitely hire them again.

I had a few quotes from different companies and they were just wanting to rip up the roofing on the light well and redo the whole roof. Brian came along and just said he could fix it with a corrugated panel on top and fixing the scupper like it was supposed to be fixed. The previous roofers did a lousy job and when my roof got clogged and flooded, it was just the side near the window that was leaking and caused all the water damage in the bathroom and in the garage. Brian said he could just fix it without having to redo the roof and my impression of him was that he was down to earth honest. He fixed the problem and without a lot of cost involved. His straightforwardness basically saved me a lot of money. These are the types of people I like to work with. Honest contractors are hard to find. If you have any roofing issues, I highly recommend you hire this company to take a look. Brian will give you an honest assessment and not try to get more money off of you than is necessary. Also I'm nervous about their billing setup generally - it got hacked last year and I almost got scammed out of $11k. And during the job itself, they had to take the crew off of our job for an "emergency" somewhere else, leaving a big gap where there wasn't any progress while we had an active construction site at our house. I understand some level of scheduling issues but this was really frustrating. So overall, I'd say all of this put a really bad taste in my mouth, and I'd be really torn on whether to work with them again. The work was tremendous but I can live without surprise interruptions and liens on my house.

I went with option 1. He took care of it the next day. I Zelle'd him payment and viola, problem solved. He is one of the most honest and quality-focused contractors I have ever worked with. During planning, I spoke to a number of other contractors who wanted to use retrofit windows and just leave the siding in place. Alan took the time to explain the proper way that the building wrap, siding and windows had to interface to get waterproofing, and how we were better off replacing all three if we wanted to be sure we'd fix our problem. Even with this extra scope, Alan's pricing was very fair. Thank god we went with Alan. When they removed the existing siding, they found severe water damage underneath the siding and a subpar earlier repair job. When this surprise came up, Alan talked us through the damage and gave us our options. They ended up ripping up two layers of existing siding, cutting out damaged building sheathing and replacing it with new plywood, before proceeding with the job. The overrun costs were very reasonable and we never felt like Alan was taking advantage of us. The end result was great quality at a fair price, and peace of mind that our issues have been resolved and we won't have to worry about the front / roof for a long time now. I would definitely hire Alan again and would recommend him to anyone looking for this kind of work.

After the service was completed, I observed debris remaining in multiple sections of the gutter system and took photographs documenting my concerns. Based on what I observed, I did not believe the entire gutter system had been fully cleaned as described in the scope of work. I contacted the company on the day of the service and requested a follow-up visit. Although a return visit was discussed, it ultimately never took place, and my concerns regarding the completeness of the cleaning were never fully addressed. Because of this, I did not feel the work fully matched my expectations for a complete gutter cleaning. To be fair, ASF did perform significant work, including gutter repairs and cleaning in other areas, and the company ultimately worked with me to reach a mutually agreed resolution of the matter. Future customers may wish to inspect the gutters carefully after service and document any concerns promptly.
