Who is Chuck Lager? Chuck Lager is the silhouette of a world-traveling, burger-eating, beer-drinking mythical man. It is also served as name for an upscale casual restaurant chain from Maryland, New Jersey and Florida with names like Chuck Lager Travern or Chuck Lager Legendary Kitchen. Its menu is designed by Chef Fabio Viviani with favorites from bars like wings, meatballs, flatbreads, salads, tacos, handhelds, pastas, burgers, fish, steak and chicken entrees. A franchise owner took over a former Chili space at Alico Road in Gulf Coast Town Center and renovated into Chuck Lager Legendary Kitchen. There are inside and outside tables with two bars serving some of their craft Bourbon and Beers. We walked in around 5:30 PM without reservation. It is not packed and we were seated immediately. There were pictures of Chuck Lager visiting Bavaria, Germany, Claret, France, and Brooklyn, New York and Santiago, Chile. I cool off with a Yuengling and ordered the Today's Special, Red Snapper Piccata while wife ordered a smoked brisket with cheese handheld. Her handheld is essentially a grilled cheese sandwich with little brisket. The red snapper filet was poached and dressed with capers, tomatoes and Brussel sprouts over mashed potato. I love Brussel Sprout grilled but this Brussel Sprout is miniature size just slightly bigger than size of dime. The red snapper filet was OK but the plate was drowned with olive oil. Both dishes were just OK but nothing exciting to report! I was disappointed with this red snapper dish for $34. No dessert for us tonight! Our server was very attentive and friendly! But the food needs improvement!

The story: Mr. Chuck Lager befriended a Mr. Kris Kringle and traveled around the world to try all the foods and all the drinks. So yea..he is a fictional character... With 3 bars..this place will bring in the crowd. The food is a mixed American affair. My top 4 samplers from the vip event were as follows: pulled pork slider, truffle mushroom white cheddar flat bread, Nashville hot chicken sliders, and the cavatappi pasta. If sweet creative drinks are your thing...go for the cotton candy martini...they have a cc(no not a credit card machine) machine in their kitchen. If alcohol content is your vibe...the heavy lifter stout sits pretty at 8.6 abv. The staff there was very attentive and nice as well. I shall be returning.

The good the bad the ugly of this restaurant. First our server didn't realize we were her table. She was sweet , not a big deal. Bar was slow, place was chaotic. Multiple servers tried to bring us other people's food. My drink was disgusting. Straight booze , which most people will love but I'm a lightweight and there was supposed to be multiple juices in it and it tasted awful. Literally I could not drink it. Appetizers never came so my husband had enough and we left. It's a new place so they are still having " growing pains" in my opinion and it's insanely busy which doesn't help. Once the novelty and the newness dies down, I'll give this place a try again. But for now, it's not somewhere I would go.

Had an invite to the soft opening and loved the food. The chicken wings were delicious. Meat fell off the bone. Meatballs, flatbread and sliders were tasty. We also sampled the craft lagers. Loved the red ale and scotch ale. IPA was good but not what I prefer. The pickles and jalapeños were I good combo. Loved the personal bourbon tasting too. The small batch was my favorite. Jeff, Becky and Karen were friendly and helpful.

I think everything is over priced, even considering today's market. Everything I've ordered has been ok and the staff has always been great. The place is cool and has a decent beer selection. There's like 3 bars.

Burger was TINY! Food wad overpriced. Wings were ok, kinda dry. Kids spaghetti & meatball was a good portion but was $10. Meatball sub was decent

Mine was chicken Parmesan with Penny pasta and a strawberry shortcake Pizookie. Everything tasted perfect and to finish it off. I had the Berry burst cider, which is very refreshing and one of my favorites. I will return here again in the near future! I loved the music playing over the speakers. He was super attentive, matched our energy, and made sure to read everything back (which I appreciated since I had a few accommodations with my food). We could tell he had a ton of tables and even a really big party he was taking care of, but he still made sure we were checked on and never felt forgotten. You could tell he was busy, but when he was at our table it wasn't that awkward feeling of hurry up or something, which we really appreciated. Also, I never like pizza, but I tried my boyfriend's hot honey pepperoni pizza and it was SO good--like actually shocked at how much I liked it. The pizookies were amazing as always, and my friend's mac and cheese bites with the queso were sooo good too. Overall just a really fun night with great food and great service!

First, the food was great. We tried the mushroom burger, the smash burger, and a quinoa bowl, and everything was really good. The burgers were flavorful and satisfying, and the quinoa bowl made us feel like we were making at least one responsible life choice that day. But the real star of the show was the self-serve beer tap wall. They give you a wristband, you tap it on the machine, and pour whatever beer you want. Then you just pay for exactly how much you pour. Which sounds responsible... until you realize you can try a little bit of everything. We ended up sampling several different beers because it was just too fun not to. Tons of variety, and everything we tried was excellent. The only suggestion I'd have: it would be amazing if there was a small tasting station so people could try. When there are that many options, choosing can feel like a very serious life decision. Overall though, great food, a really fun concept, and a cool atmosphere. 10/10 would absolutely come back... mostly to "responsibly" test more beers.

We're not elderly but the music (inside) was a notch too loud. Made it hard to hear the waiter and talking amongst ourselves was annoying. It wasn't "fun loud" - just annoying. Side notes - the booth spelled bad. Like someone had wet themselves. Might be the material. Was gross. Almost left right away. Inside was weirdly humid too. I get we are in Florida but other restaurants seem to have figured it out. Probably won't be back.
