By far my favorite restaurant in Jackson. The service is great and the food is wonderful! Try and make a reservation if you can since it fills up quickly, especially with their limited capacity due to COVID. The social distancing implemented inside feels very safe, and they offer QR codes to access the menu and pay your bill. I was very happy with all the safety measures they have implemented. This restaurant got my mom and I in at the very last minute on July 4. The server was pleasant and attentive and gave us good suggestions since we were torn on what we wanted to order. My mom ordered the truffle pasta, which was delicious, and I ordered the crispy brussel sprouts and the watermelon greens salad with shrimp. We recently went on a hiking tour in the Grand Tetons / Yellowstone. We stayed in Jackson Hole and had dinner at Gather. And it was amazing. We started with the pork buns and brussel sprouts (probably the best I've ever had), and then shared two meals -- the truffle pasta and the pork shank. Everything was delicious. Coincidentally, the tour company we booked our hiking trip with selected their favorite local restaurant for dinner the following night. Yup, we were back at Gather. We downed the pork buns and brussel sprouts again and this time ordered the salmon and the rib eye with friend rice. Once again, the food was great. My husband really liked the fried rice, which is served in a block. You can go wrong here. The presentation and atmosphere is great and the service was also excellent. Allie was the absolute best waitress I could ever ask for. We did not have a reservation, and had to wait about 45 minutes for our table. Not a problem considering current situation with coronavirus. We were taken to our table by the fantastic host , and Allie promptly greeted us. When we were indecisive about our appetizer she took it upon herself to put the order in and just ride with it. we could not have been happier with the pork belly. Her recommendations for entrées and drinks were spot on. I had the wagyu with bone marrow fried rice, and my girlfriend had the elk Bolognese. Wow-- what a fabulous meal. We started out with the Brussels Sprouts. They were fried (a preparation I have never seen before), then covered in a thick white balsamic reduction and sprinkling of cheese. Once the cheese melted though it made an almost thick sauce that throughly coated each sprout and balanced perfectly with the crunch of the pumpkin seeds and the tart cranberries. Then we ordered the Carter Country Burger and the Venison Rack. The venison was an extremely generous portion atop a very rich cheesy risotto. The burger was one of the best we'd had on our cross country road trip. To end the night, we finished off with the deconstructed key lime pie. So many interesting textures going on on the platter that it was fun to see their interpretation of a classic. Amazing establishment! read more

Haven't been in since they opened, but I remembered I really enjoyed the duck salad they had at the time, and thought it was time to revisit again. I went with a friend and we had Jess as our server. She was very helpful and always checked up on us if we needed anything, she was also the one who recommended the pork buns which my friend and I loved. It was the right amount of spiciness and was very delicious. It was the perfect size to share and as a starter. I had the red wine marinated bison and it was fantastic. I like my game and steak medium rare and my friend had her's well done they both tasted amazing with the sweet potatoes, and boursin cheese fondue. Will be back thank you! read more

They had the absolute best Cesar salad I've ever had in my entire life! If you go, you must get it! My best friend and I decided we wanted to treat our boyfriends to a nice dinner while we visited Jackson to gift them for always gifting us and we were so happy with our evening! The host have us a better table than what was in our reservation because they had a more quiet intimate table open up, which really made dinner nice even though the whole restaurant is beautiful. Our waiter was very nice and promptly came to the table and got things going. We ordered two of the specials and three from the regular menu with fried Brussels to start. Two dishes were the "small plates" and 3 were entrée sized. The entrée size elk pasta ravioli a little too small for one of the guys to fill up on but my friends chicken entrée was big and so they shared that and were both satisfied. My boyfriend and I had the two small plates and one entrée sized sea food pasta special and it was the perfect amount of food for both of us. We couldn't stop saying how much we loved everything. My personal favorite was the lamb kabob! Then dessert was the perfect finisher. We had a dark chocolate brownie with ice cream, pomegranate and pumpkin seeds on top that really set it apart from other places. And little beignets that were delicious. We had one night in Jackson and ended up getting two seats at the bar at Gather for our one dinner -- so glad we chose this place! All the food we got was absolutely fantastic (Crispy Brussels, Elk Bolognese, Pork Buns, and Burrata), and I'd get them all again without question. We visited here in March 2019. Really hungry after a long day of skiing, we were excited when a friend messaged us that she was eating at the bar at Gather as we had read many great reviews. It was only about 9 so we headed over because the restaurant would still be open another hour. Arrived at 9:15 and was told by the bartender the kitchen was closed and they were closing in a few minutes but we could have a glass of wine. So we sat and watched our fried eat, at the same time watching as the blonde bartender was drinking behind the bar and chatting nonstop with her friend. They were clearly waiting for us to leave so they could get out of there. We were surprised that this was happing as there are cameras in there so clearly the owner is able to see what goes on. They should change their hours to say "call ahead of time in case we are closing early." What a disappointment. read more

We visited Jackson Hole during COVID-19 (July 2020) and Gather was one of the best dining experiences we had. We were able to make a reservation for 4 at an outdoor table and felt distant from the other dinners. The restaurant is on the corner of the block and they did a great job of setting up an outdoor seating area. We even had a heat lamp at our table since our reservation was late (8:45). Our server, Mitten (sp?), was wonderful and really enhanced our experience. The food was also delicious and the cocktails and wine were exactly what we needed after a 10 mile day hike in Grand Teton. read more

This was hands down the best dinner we had in Jackson. We were so happy to have found this place after dining at some stinkers. We loved the food, the service and the relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the pork buns and thank goodness our server encouraged us to get 4 instead of 3 because otherwise I'd have had to fight my husband for the last one. They were just that good. This is a really fun place to go to dinner. The menu is delicious and service is even better. We came here due to all of the other restaurants opening at 6pm on Sunday and this one was open a little earlier. We do not regret cancelling our other reservations to come here. We were sat down and almost immediately our server came over to greet us, he was really friendly and gave us the run down of the menu. After taking some time to decide, we ordered the brussel sprouts, the charcuterie plate, the burger, the elk ravioli and the wyoming caviar. The obvious winner of the night was the brussel sprouts they were amazing. They were deep fried with pops of pomegranate they were delicious. Another good choice was the charcuterie plate, our server suggested that we let the chef choose our selection and it was on point. We were excited that the chef has an opinion and he did make us a delicious place. We both agreed that the wyoming caviar was a miss, the flavors didn't quite go together and the sauce that the chips were on was a little too overwhelming. As far as the entrees they were both good and PACKED with flavor. They don't skimp on flavor in this place. We would come back here just for the amazing service, everyone in here was really cool and the spot itself was very trendy, we enjoyed this place a lot and hope to come back next time we are in town. read more

This is the best restaurant in Jackson. Last summer we happened on to it but were greatly anticipating our upcoming "fine dining" at the Blue Lion. That was a huge disappointment, and we ended up appreciating Gather much more. We returned this Jan during a ski trip and It is now our favorite restaurant in Jackson. Ask for Sidney, a new mgr there and you wont be disappointed. I recommend the roasted brussel sprouts for starters. We have a vegan, gluten intolerant, and normal eaters in our group. Everyone was delighted. We'll always eat here when visiting this vibrant ski town. read more

We have sampled several restaurants during our week long stay in Jackson and Gather is at the top of the list! Came a little early (around 5:45) for the happy hour specials and the cocktails were delicious, not too sweet and very refreshing. We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were crispy and very flavorful. My husband had the scallops and added steak which he loved. I ordered the marinated Bison which was melt in your mouth delicious! The whole plate from the sweet potatoes with a light Boursin fondue sauce to the marinated beets hits all the beautiful notes you want in an entree. Then we splurged and ordered the Jackson Doughnut holes for dessert! OMG, so delicious with the three different dipping sauces. We may even go back one more time before we leave to try the things we missed! read more

This review is based on service only because we were never actually seated to give the food a try. My husband and I came to Jackson to celebrate our anniversary and see the beautiful National Parks. We booked a reservation at Gather a few weeks before our trip. Based on the reviews it seemed like THE place to splurge and have a nice meal. Our reservations were for 7:15. We showed up promptly. Our table wasn't ready, no problem we will have a seat at the bar and grab a yummy cocktail while we wait. The bartender who I can also only assume was the manager because he was the only one not wearing the same thing as everyone else was in a BAD mood. We had to ask for a menu and he didn't even say hi how are you doing as he was wiping our spot down. We ordered a couple cocktails and the waiting game began. The guy had to ask what gin we wanted twice and then he forgot my husbands gin and tonic and didn't realize until I was almost done with my drink. No apology... 30 minutes pass with no one checking on us and we can see people walking in off the street getting sat. I assume they skipped over us and didn't want to admit it. After 12 hrs hiking in Yellowstone we were starving... And now kind of buzzed and we couldn't wait any longer. My husband went to ask the manager about our table and the guy walked away from my husband standing at the podium to go polish glasses behind the bar.....!!!! Yes. That happened. So we payed for our overpriced cocktails and went to another restaurant in town. Had awesome service, less pretentious food and spent a fourth of what we were planning on spending. It ended up be a great evening. My guess is because we weren't a middle aged couple who looked liked big tippers we were ghosted by the staff. We rolled into town with no definitive plans for dinner. We happened into Gather and throughly enjoyed our good fortune. While they were booked up, we lucked into 3 seats at the bar. The bartenders took good care of us with a Wyoming Old Fashioned, Mule and Mungerita. Would order those again in a heartbeat. We stuck to the small plates with brussels (yum, yum), grilled naan ( so tasty), salmon tuna poke and the watermelon and greens salad. All really good! Great service. This place is famous because it is owned by Iron Chef. We got there early and were told they were running a happy hour but only if you sit at the bar, which is weird. We were a group of 5 friends and wanted a table... so we could not get the happy hour due to the fact that we were sititing at a table, even though it was early and the restaurant was pretty much empty.Weird. Anyway, service was friendly enough and the food was good. Almost everyone in my group liked their dish. My Idaho trout was great. One of my friends is vegetarian and they had a veggie gnocchi that she loved. Another firn d had the bison burger and she said it was gamey, i don't eat that kind of meat but i guess if you eat bison it is expected to be gamey. Overall, we liked our food and were happy with our choice. Wish they had a \better happy hour policy. read more
