We love their margaritas, but the food and service are mediocre. I had a margarita flight with a few of their signature flavors, and they were each delicious, very unique combinations that worked together and weren't overwhelming. We had the three amigos dips, which were great (loved the queso)! Our drinks didn't take long to arrive, but our food took almost 2 hours. We ended up just getting everything boxed up to-go. I got the El Pollo tacos and usually I'm a fan of spicy, but they were uncomfortably hot.

There is a lot going on with this street in Irwin, there is a distillery tasting room, a brewery, a concert venue, and this Mexican restaurant. Stopped in on a snowy Saturday before Christmas to fortify for holiday shopping. I was pleasantly surprised stopping in here, somewhat dark brick establishment. The 3 Amigos appetizer was outstanding, anchored by some really good guacamole. Followed up by shrimp tacos with a sweet chili Asian twist, and a far more traditional beef barbacoa street style tacos. Just sat at the bar to grab a quick bite and a beer, but was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stop again when in the area, pretty decent Mexican fare, and far better than quite a few other places in this corner of Southwest PA.

We were there for the first time last night. Very cool, trendy vibe. Ryan was our server and he was outstanding! He took time to explain the drink menu and the food menu which we appreciated. The food was delish and the choices were many! The beverage selection was outstanding especially for the tequila drinkers put there! My margarita was great! I had the mahi grilled taco and my guy had the yinzer taco steak with fries! Three to an order which was a lot! Oh also has spicy mozzarella sticks app. It was hopping pre concert and Saturday night and food came in good time which mattered on way to a concert. Price point is excellent but Ryan (with the long hair lol) made it such a fun experience. Can't wait to go back. Parking on street or nearby lot too. Thank you.

I had an incredible experience at Gato! The tacos were phenomenal - bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly seasoned. Each bite was a delight. The service was equally impressive, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and quick. Tacos are around $15 each set, but you receive 3 decent size tacos. I think they were the best local tacos I've had ever or in a long time. They were bursting with flavor. For example it's maybe the equivalent of a Primanti bros sandwich (marinated steak topped with French fries, cabbage slaw, fancy sauce and queso fresco. My wife had the Hollywood which I thought was equally delicious with Roadted chicken topped with guacamole, pico de gallo, queso Fresno, and Conita cheese. Our waitress was a young lady with dark hair. She was very nice, attentive, also one of the better waiters we had in a while. I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

I am a sucker for a good Mexican restaurant and Gato hit the spot. The vibes were great and the service was quick. Our waiter was very in top of it! For a drink, I got a House Lime Margarita. It was very sour which made it difficult to drink. For food, we ordered the Three Amigos appetizer, El Pollo Loco signature tacos, and a side of the Street Corn. The guacamole, salsa, and queso were absolutely fantastic. The salsa was extremely fresh and flavorful. It may have been one of my favorite salsas ever! I did add some extra lime and hot sauce to our guacamole to enhance the flavor. Our tacos were very spicy, but tasty nonetheless. The side of Street Corn had so much flavor I could eat it everyday. The whole restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. If I am ever in the area again, I will be back!

The drink was amazing and I could have had unlimited amounts of it. The tacos were also good but I wish I had the option to get 3 different ones. Cause I wanted to try multiple tacos on the menu. And I personally don't like getting multiple of the same taco.

This is a nice little taco joint in a place you might not expect to find one. It is surprisingly large inside, and if you like tequila,.they have a great selection of tequila as well. I tried the Ma-HEHe tacos. They were well made and had a great sauce on them. I highly recommend!

Average food and average service combined gives this place an average-rated review from me. The presentation of the tacos is top-notch, I'll give them that, but the chips and salsa were disappointing, and the tacos, while solid, weren't something I'd be dying to come back for again. Our server was friendly, but no one checked in with us during the meal. And while I didn't order any, some of the drinks looked interesting/tasty, so that might be worth giving Gato's a try for.

Madero Cantina Norwin also had mostly decent reviews, so I gave it a try. I sat at the very nice bar. The atmosphere is modern, not trying to look like Tijuana, with clear background music that isn't so loud that I couldn't hear people across the bar talking. What I'm going to say might sound contradictory. My earlier meal was closer to the Mexican food I was used to in Southern California. But not exceptional. As a vegetarian, I usually start with cheese enchiladas as a way to judge a Mexican restaurant. The service was excellent, and they are definitely vegetarian friendly. Unlike "genuine" Mexican food, their refried beans are vegetarian, without the traditional lard. Their Spanish rice isn't vegetarian friendly (chicken stock used) but they have a vegetarian alternative rice. When they cook for a vegetarian, they use a different grill, so your food isn't cooked in meat grease. I know this because Jake, who served me, covered it all as soon as I mentioned that I was vegetarian. When the food arrived it looked great, and it tasted great as well. If you're looking for genuine Mexican with lard in the beans, this might not be the best local option. But I really enjoyed my meal here, and recommend it highly!

I mentioned the Farmer's Market but not the physical store. They told me about some of their customer favorites and I got the shrimp taco. They also had me sample some queso mac and cheese because they had just made a batch for another customer. It was delicious! This is a great place for coffee, specialty drinks, breakfast or lunch…read more I have been here numerous times and always had a good (and tasty) experience. When you walk in, it has a warm, inviting vibe. There are a variety of tables and seating options (including some couch and comfy chair type seating). You order by going up to the counter, and they either call your order or will bring it to your table when it is done if you are eating it there. One down side is that there is a fairly large menu and it isn't always easy to find/see all of the options when you are waiting to order. My daughter saw someone got a bubble tea but at the time we were looking, that menu wasn't easy to spot so we didn't even know it was something they offered! All of their food items are made to order (well, I suppose except for the soup which is home made and just dished out to order). They even have soup flights on certain days! I need to go back and try that because every soup I've ever had here has been delicious. They have the standard coffee menu but also always have some unique and quirky seasonal options. They also have smoothies, bubble teas and some other unique creations. They have tasty breakfast and lunch sandwiches, breakfast scrambles, mac and cheese and a variety of sandwiches. You can easily customize your meals and the staff is great about providing recommendations. It can take awhile to get your food/drinks, but that is because everything is made to order. A fun and tasty place for a bite to eat or a sweet treat!
