Approximately ten locally-owned restaurants line the perimeter of the space, with a centralized bar and a billiards table in the back. We bought food from Smash City, Gringo Taco, and Nori; and beverages from the bar. Everything was fine, but the stand out was the service from the bar staff. If you want to stop by somewhere with multiple options, this is a good spot.

The food hall is fairly new and not all the stations are completely set up. That being said, they still had a great variety of things to choose from. Ranging from pizza, to tacos. to asian, to smoothies, they have something for just about anyones tastes! The hall itself is spacious and very clean. It has an industrial feel to it with dining hall sort of vibes. There are some really cute UF accents and decorations included as well. It wasn't too busy when we came, but they did have a DJ doing music. There were also several people enjoying the bar located in the center of the hall. The portions are decent sizes. Some of the stations portions are bigger than others. Which is nice because it allows you to sample and explore multiple things. I ended up starting at the Mexican station. They offered freshly prepared, customizable tacos, quesadillas, burritos, etc. I opted for a single taco, so I could try some of the other things offered. The tortillas are griddled with cheese in them, then topped with either chicken or shredded beef. You can choose from a nice selection of toppings including pico de galo, more cheese, lime juice, and an array of sauces. The taco had great flavor, but the cheese caused it to become "soggy" and fall apart. This made it particularly challenging to eat the taco. I then ventured onto the pizza station. They served focaccia styled square pizza with a thicker airy crust. It is almost reminiscent of a Sicilian styled pizza, but a little lighter. I opted for the pepperoni with hot honey added for an extra charge. The pizza was amazing! Served hot and fresh right out of the oven. The cupped pepperonis were heavenly and amply spread throughout the pizza. There was the perfect amount of hot honey to compliment to heat of the pepperonis. The cheese to sauce ratio was nice and the crust was chewy. It the perfect size for a personal pie or could easily be shared with a friend. I really enjoyed the pizza and liked the square style of it. Overall, I enjoyed the Gainesville Food Hall. They offer a nice variety of cuisines. It is family friendly and a great spot to grab a bite and hang out with friends. The space is clean and has an inviting feel about it. I really appreciate the idea of a food hall and think it is a great addition to Gainesville. Will be returning at some point in the future and cannot wait to try more!

There aren't a whole lot of options for Korean food in Ocala, so when we found ourselves in Gainesville we sought out some Korean cuisine. The dentist I'm seeing recommended Seoul Pocha so after a late afternoon dental visit in Gainesville, we made it a point so check it out. We got there just after 5 PM, soon after they opened, and there was a couple already sitting down ready to order. After my wife and I checked out the menu, we soon realized there are menu items we typically don't see outside of So Cal and Korea, namely Bibimbap Dolsot and Kimchee Pancake...so that's what we ordered. I asked the server if they also served Kimbap since it wasn't on the menu but I was told no. The Bibimbap Dolsot was served sizzling hot! It was so hot that I had to wait until I mixed it up with some bibimbap sauce and it cooled down a bit before tasting it. It had good flavors but didn't quite match the taste of the same dish we sampled in Korea and in Koreatown in LA. Interestingly, the bibimbap dolsot served in a restaurant on base in Yongsan, South Korea was one of the best we've had. Seoul Pocha's bibimbap dolsot was still good, but... My wife's kimchi pancake was quite good especially when dipped in that sweet and spicy house made dipping sauce. My wife couldn't finish her dish so we took it home for a snack the next day and it was still yummy. Service was attentive and friendly. It wasn't after we've eaten however, did we realize they didn't serve any banchan, or appetizers, which is typical in most sit down Korean joints. Dinner for 2 with tip came out to just under $46. We'll surely be back.

Unfortunately, when I opened the actual bag, there was a fly inside. Not only that but, the burgers are slightly open! I always go for the chicken teriyaki here, of course, and Ill even go for double meat if I'm really hungry that day. Prices are not bad and are less than $10 per person. They do have any size drinks for $1 for those with a student ID (promotion they have). The chicken is a little oily but the sauce just makes it! It comes with veggies and your choice of fried or white rice. Ive started ordering thewhite rice (gotta watch the figure right?) but the fried rice is really flavorful and I've never had a bad batch before at this location. They have a few sauces at the end and Id recommend the chili sauce with it. Best thing I like is they have a customer loyalty card you can ask for. You buy 4 meals, your 5th is free. Thats a great deal because most places is like 10 and your 11th is free. 4 stars only because it gets pretty oily and the manager isnt too friendly; he really does look like he just doing a job but he does get it done so I guess thats fine. However, the other staff tends to be a lot friendlier to me.
