It is not a DisneyWorld or Universal by any means, but definitely amusing and hokey in all of the right ways. The Florida resident price is great, and is a great value for the fun experience you'll have. The swamp buggy is a little expensive on top ($15 extra per person) but you should definitely do it at least once! There are tons of cool alligators of course, but a good assortment of other animals as well. Parking is free, which is nice. The staff are all friendly as well. Overpriced, save your money! Everything costs more. A gator is a gator. When you feed the gators (if your willing to pay 10 bucks to throw a chicken leg at a group) the worker will yell at you when your taking a photo. If you're not fast enough with following his instructions he will poke you with his stick or physically grab your head. Staff is sub par and constantly complains about their pay. I went to this place for the first time in December 2021 and let me tell you, it's amazing! It is definitely a don't miss park. It is a lot more fun than you would think. I ended up going because my boyfriend loves alligators and crocodiles and I thought it would be like any other zoo. I was wrong! When you first walk in you are greeted to a bunch of small alligators. But as you keep exploring the park you will see so many different kinds of alligators and crocodiles including a 1000 pound alligator. They also have albino alligators. There are a few different shows that were all amazing, including an alligator wrangling show and that was my favorite. All of the workers there are very knowledgeable and very friendly. You can tell that everybody there loves their job and does really care about the animals. Besides the alligators and crocodiles, there are other animals as well! There is a petting zoo with some goats that you can feed, a Flamingo exhibit which you can feed them as well, and other animals including owls birds and deer. I know I'm missing others too! One of my favorite things about this park is that you can literally feed everything. We got some gator food included with our admission since we upgraded our ticket to also be able to ride the train and take a picture with a live alligator. It is totally worth the extra couple bucks to be able to do this. And like I said, you also get a bag of gator food. You can feed most of the alligators and crocodiles and I love feeding the ones that were swimming in the water. We also added the off-road adventure And that was so much fun! Coworkers were funny and kept us entertained dropping trip as well as making sure we had a great time on the ride. It was short but fun. Outstanding! First off want to say thank you to the family, that owns and operates this. Had a lot of fun and learned a lot too. I never thought I could fall in love with alligators and crocodiles, but I have new found respect for these creatures. Such a joy to see the food jumping contest they have, as here you can see the gators jaws and pure power. Also the close encounters show was entertaining and funny. The jokes were actually good! This is definitely a busy attraction, and for solid reasons. My recommendation is go with the extra package, to feed the gators, ride the train, and to sit on a gator and get your picture taken. There's a petting zoo! Who doesn't love these? You can buy cones with pellets in them. The Indian cow think it's called a Zebu was hilarious. That cone was devoured! The goats and others are a hoot too. Absolutely a family friendly place. All of the employees were very welcoming and gracious. If you are in Orlando, this is a MUST attraction. Haven't had this much fun in a long time, and you can tell the animals are very well cared for. read more

I am deeply concerned about the conditions I witnessed at Gatorland on September 14, 2024. The facility's treatment of its animals was troubling. I observed over 100 young alligators, estimated to be between 2-4 years old, confined in an overcrowded concrete pool measuring approximately 15 ft x 15 ft. It was distressing to see visitors throwing debris and food into the enclosure. I even witnessed someone spit on them. There were no staff members present to monitor or address the situation when I tried to report it. What was even more alarming was the condition of a mature albino alligator, which was housed in a tiny, indoor enclosure with no access to sunlight. The water in this enclosure was insufficient for the alligator to swim or submerge itself. It shared this enclosure with another full-sized alligator. This setup is far from acceptable for such a large creature. After spending only 20 minutes in the facility, I felt compelled to return to the ticket counter and request a refund. I was uncomfortable supporting a business that maintains such inadequate living conditions for its animals. While the employee assured me that the animals are fed, I reiterated my concern was primarily about the overcrowding and lack of proper habitat for the albino alligator. This experience is particularly troubling given that Gatorland and similar facilities have been investigated in the past for cruelty and poor conditions. Unfortunately, Animal Welfare Act (AWA) and U.S. laws protecting captive animals are minimal, and reptiles, including alligators, often lack adequate protection. According to the AWA, animals must be fed, watered, and sheltered, for example, yet space requirements only mandate that the animal be able to make "normal postural changes" (i.e. allow them enough room to stand up, lie down, and turn around). Reptiles and other cold blooded animals are specifically excluded from protection under the AWA. For these alligators and other reptiles, it's a free-for-all. I strongly encourage potential visitors to reconsider supporting Gatorland or any similar establishments. Your patronage contributes to the continued suffering of these animals. I'm sharing this experience through reviews and spreading awareness can help drive change. For those who wish to make a difference, consider educating others about the realities faced by animals in captivity and advocating for better treatment. I'll be honest- I didn't have high expectations for this attraction. I assumed it would be some campy, tourist attraction with some run down buildings and a few alligators in someone's back yard. We are homeschoolers and I was looking for an activity that could tie into some Science and figured "why not". I was pleasantly surprised how great this park is! My entire family loved it. We spent all day here and still didn't see all the attractions. The handlers were well educated in alligator behavior, habitat etc. The park was well maintained and full of different types of animals- not just alligators. You could tell they really love and care for the animals and take conservation seriously. Food was reasonably priced and I loved how they also had local vendors as well. It really brought it local and less as a tourist attraction- Fresh squeezed juice, empanadas, crafts etc. My children loved feeding the alligators, the mud truck ride and the walking path through the beginning of the everglades. They learned so much here and really enjoyed it. Out of all the attractions we visited, ( Universal etc) this is the one they still remember and talk about the most. The price was nice too. It's a great place for children & adults alike. The children would especially enjoy feeding the animals in the feeding area. We had such a great time at Gatorland! We aren't from the Orlando area but I really wanted to go zip lining for my birthday so my man had booked a slot for us. If we had done more research we would have realize that this is an entire park! This is definitely a family park and it's good for children of all ages. The park also has birds, snakes, wild cats, crocodiles, and much more! We very well could have spent a whole day here. We wish we had, but there's always next time! The park --The park it's self is beautiful, it's very green, clean, and there are tons of gators! If you show up in the afternoon like we did, you'll get a nice look of the alligators sunbathing throughout the park. Oh, here's a fun fact: this park has a celebrity alligator who is mating bellow has been used in blockbuster films! See if you can spot him when you go. On to the zip lining -- Neither of us had been zip lining before, but we had always wanted to go! Our guides Edwin and his partner (sorry I forgot your name!) were very professional, goofy, and kind. Those two young gentleman made sure everyone felt comfortable and secure before each launch. The first one is the scariest one, but after zip lining across the first time it's a piece of cake and extremely fun! Their photographer is also amazing so kudos to her! After zip lining we had another appointment so unfortunately we were unable to stay, we did however make sure to check out the gift shop on our way out. It's actually really cute! You can purchase tix online at a discounted price, however there are certain times and days of the week when they offer 1/2 price tix. In addition, they offer military and AAA discounts. We were an adult-only party and had a blast. Having only purchased general admission and not opting for any upgrades/add-ons we were concerned we were going to feel like we had a lesser experience but I am happy to say we still had an awesome afternoon! Gatorland still has that vintage "roadside attraction" feel and it is what makes Gatorland so special. They have a few shows and photo-ops and an adorable splash pad for the littles- so bring their suits! I don't understand all the hype. It was a nice experience but not sure it is worth it. For Florida Residents we are bigger fans of Wild Florida. While Gatorland does 1/2 off for FL residents it is still $17 and you basically just see a TON of gators. The shows are kind of dumb and the gators at Wild Florida actually come up out of the water for the food they hang over the water...wasn't impressed with their jumping ability at Gatorland. Be aware...Train ride is $3.00 per person EXTRA...not included in admission and not sure it has enough "sights" to really make it worth it. They have a drop off point that they use when almost show time BUT know you can't get back on there so you you have to walk all the way back to your strollers and stuff. If coming to Florida and you want a gator experience...my preference is Wild Florida. Not sure we will encourage out of town guests to go to Gatorland. PLUS Wild Florida allows FL residents to get in for the FL price if they are with you. Just an all around better experience. Plus they were redoing their splash pad and it just was messy and had another area roped off due to improvements. So...not impressed. Thankful for our friends who took us. We had never been so glad we did. But now we know how to encourage people when they ask us which one they should go visit. Didn't even check out the prices on the zip line and climbing wall stuff. Who knows how much more that was. It is cool that they have been around so long...but not sure that is a redeeming factor in overall experience. read more

If you have children, visit Gatorland! Well, even if you don't have children, Gatorland is such a fun park to visit. In addition to the alligators and several other animals (e.g. parrots, peacocks, flamingos, and others), I can imagine that the experience for children would be eye-opening and fun. For a few dollars, you're able to feed the alligators. In order to do this, they provide you with a pole with fish attached to the end. You then put the pole over the fence to feed the gators. Imagine hearing a loud chomp! For me, that was the highlight of my visit. I would definitely visit again if I had the opportunity. There's also a mini waterpark for children to cool off on a hot day. Everyone needs to come to Gatorland at least once in their lifetime. It's a Florida must-see. I remember visiting when I was a wee one, but I had the pleasure of checking it out once again recently as an adult (not much taller...just older). I had so much fun! Although a visit during the summer can be pretty brutal due to the lack of ample shade...it was well worth it. The abundance of alligators and crocodiles was insane. When you first walk in, you enter onto the wooden path that shows baby gators at different ages. As you progress with your walk, the older and larger they get. Although the name suggests this place is full of gators, there are other wildlife present that you can see! Florida panthers, birds, snakes and even tortoises. There are educational shows, as well as a thrilling and exciting show called the Gator Jumparoo. In a nutshell, there are two silly guys in overalls teasing and playing off of each other in a friendly competition of who can get the biggest gator to jump the highest out of the water. I had no idea these animals could be THAT big. You have to check this out! There are other experiences to be had here like a chance to take a photo with slithery critters...and even a zip lining adventure that takes you up 1,200 feet in the air over the wild gators below (eek). I was trying to kill time before I had to fly back home so I was there early and alone. I walked around the place which is huge. I also took a train ride which was $3 and went on an off-road adventure (less than $15 for about a 15 minute ride). I don't regret any of it. This would be a great place to bring your family. Phenomenal! If you told me I would enjoy Gatorland, I would give you a hesitant "OK." We had free tickets, so why not visit Gatorland! I loved it. There were big and small gators, cute to not so cute, and albino gators! I recommend the "off road" experience in the back of the park - it's an extra price but really fun. The train also offers a good overview of the park. Plus it's fun for the kiddos and gives a spot of shade. This is $2/person. There are a few shows scattered throughout the day. We caught the tail end of the feeding battle. There's also a petting zoo with goats that you can feed too. My baby enjoyed petting some of the goats and talking to them. I normally don't leave reviews, but felt Gatorland was an exception! The park was fun, but what really makes it stand out are the employees--A special shout out to Dan and Miriam. Both went above and beyond to make sure my granddaughters had a day they will never forget . As soon as we arrived my 7 year old granddaughter was very apprehensive about seeing alligators and afraid she could get bitten, Dan was very friendly and went out of his way to put her mind at ease and left Dan with the biggest smile on her face. Later on we had the honor of dealing with Mariam at the petting zoo, some of the plans we initially had did not go as planned, but she made sure that it happened, and both of my granddaughters got an opportunity to do something that they will be telling their friends about.. It is not uncommon to have a staff member go out of their way but to come across two in the same day that goes above on beyond is a rarity... Thank you, Gatorland, for not only the adventure but the incredible staff who made it truly memorable and made one old man and two young ladies very HAPPY!!! read more

First time visiting this park and I had a little it of high expectations after seeing some other reviews. However, I was not thrilled with the park. The shows were entertaining but the social distancing was not truly enforced. Also there were a good amount of people walking around without masks so it made us a little uncomfortable. We stayed a short time and left just as it started to rain. Perhaps under normal circumstances this would've been OK but we didn't feel comfortable. I absolutely had the best time at Gatorland. Me and my family were tourists, and were spending our last day in Florida. We stayed at a Disney resort and did all things Disney. But we didn't want to leave Florida without seeing so gators so we found this gem. Honestly I might have had more fun here then at Disney. I guess I just find gators fascinating. We had the first family reunion in 20 years in Orlando, Fl, and decided to visit Gatorland on our last day. It was the talk of the town! We had a great time, and saw some monster gators and got to feed them...tons of fun! Unfortunately, I had left the camera that I was recording all the family reunion events that week at the exit center, and did not realize until I was at the airport that I did not have it. I called Gatorland, and left a few voicemails explaining the situation. The next day I received a phone call back, and at first they could not find the camera. Gatorland staff kept looking however, and after some clarifying we found the camera! I was elated (family memories like this are irreplaceable and invaluable). Gatorland then sent me my camera...all the way to California where we reside free of charge! Had an amazing customer service experience. Thank you so much Gatorland staff and leadership, for finding and getting my camera back to me. I, my family, and my future children and grandchildren a truly grateful. read more

We had a FANTASTIC time at Gatorland. If you need a nice respite from Disneyworld this is it. The guys running the various shows here are awesome and so funny. It was amazing to see so many animals up close; from various alligators and crocodiles and snakes and lizards, to serval cats and bobcats.... not to mention all the various birds. We went ahead and bought the tickets to the train, which I would recommend, as it showed us the whole other side of the park that I might not have even realized they had, had I not seen it on the train ride. They had benches frequently throughout the park, which I sure took advantage of after doing so much walking on this trip, it was so nice to not have to search for seating. Every worker we encountered was funny and helpful. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. We arrived with somewhat low expectations just trying to find something to do to kill our last day in Florida and we all had a blast.
