Gatorland does not enforce mask wearing or social distancing inside the park. A good portion of the guests had absolutely no masks. People wearing masks correctly were in the minority. Social distancing was not enforced in any way shape or form. Gator land is a fun place to visit. I took my toddler here because we had a free pass and she wanted to visit the petting zoo. She got to feed some goats and run around in the splash park. She wasn't super in to the gators but toddlers can be weird like that. read more

This is probably one of the best attractions out side of Disney World. Unlike most of the other attractions, parking is free and admission is is not expensive. Most of the year there is a great discount for Florida residents. There's is so much to do and see. First there is lots of different crocodilians from around as well as alligators, there is a petting zoo, Florida panthers, a bear, birds and other reptiles. There is a very cool night time encounter. They give you this terrible terrible flash light that barely works. You point it at the breading pond and all you see is hundreds of red eyes. For the adventurous people there is a zip line running through a large amount of the park, taking you over the breading ponds full of alligators. There is alligator wrestling, a creature encounter show and the big show, the alligator jumping show. During this show they hang chicken from a clothing line. And hold some in there hands and the big alligators and the occasional American crocodile jump up out of the water and grab the chicken. For the kids there is a train ride around the whole park, there's a water play area, face painting, alligator feeding or fishing, with the small gators. "They give you a stick with a string and a fish tied to the end, then you dangle it over the pool in front of the little gators and jump up and grab the fish. My daughter loved doing this. If nothing else there is lot of opportunities for great pictures. I thing the only thing this place is missing is a real restaurant over looking the breading pond. read more

Didnt expect for the park to be that big. You go and you spend the whole day there. They have really funny shows, birds, alligators and other wild life. A petting zoo and ontop of feeding gators you can hold and feed birds and turtles. If youre in the area it is so worth visiting here. There is quite a bit to see and do at Gatorland. My favorite was the Jumparoo show. My least favorite was the Gator wrestling. That was stupid. It is a nice size park, and yes Florida is know for its gators. I have one in my backyard, but u don't usually see them in great number. At least I don't. There are also other animals here. My favorite where the vibrant flamingos and the beautiful big cats. They have zip line here and a train ride, several shows, and it's it's easy to walk on the board walk. For those hot hot days in Florida, they have shade too. It was a nice little visit, and there are tons of fun pic oops! read more

We were visiting from Ohio. This place was a lot of fun. Our concern was it would be cheesy, but it was not. It had probably 20 things for my family to do. We enjoyed feeding the gators with fish and feeding the cabybaras. Also the white gators were very cool to see. read more

Me and my family came to Gatorland as one of our vacation stops. we really enjoyed it here, feeding the alligators and all the other animals. There is a small train ride around the park as well, not much to see though. There is a small water park area for kids, which came in handy because it was soooo hot out ! we were able to sit on an alligator and take a picture with one too. (FYI there mouths is taped closed lol). They do have a restaurant here with a small menu, many gift shops, ice cream stand and more. We came on sunday so parking was free. general admission is $27 and the next level is $35. You can also take a picture with baby alligators and hold them in your hand. there is Zip lining here as well for $70. It's a lot to do here. Very fun, inexpensive trip. read more

I just came back from a week long vacation in Florida. I chose not to do Disney or Universal and stick to other things you can do in Florida - which, by the way, is a lot. This was probably the place I was most excited for! This place DID NOT let me down. I enjoyed literally every second of it. I don't remember exactly how much I paid but I think it was about $29 which included admission as well as feeding the gators and meeting a gator. The price was great and I really didn't feel like this place was trying to rip me off. I walked around at my own pace, looked at a bunch of exhibits and while yes, it's mostly gators... they do have other animals as well such as goats, turtles, etc. They had a small show while I was there talking a bit about the gators which is where I got to meet one (definitely one of the highlights of my life so far!). Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It took about 3 hours for me to see and do everything. I chose to get there right when it opened which was a great decision since it was very empty and started getting busy when I was leaving. The gift shop is affordable and huge on the way out. Would I recommend? 100% Would I come back if I ever go back to Florida? 100%. read more

I am new to Florida, and when I told my friends that i wanted to go, they teased me a little. Most of them admitted that they hadnt been since middle school. But I went anyway and it was amazing! Very educational and laid back. The staff had a lot of respect for the animals and were fun. The only advice I could give would be to cool it with some of the jokes. My son did a gator encounter where you throw a piece of meat at them but it's not really worth it and that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We visited Gatorland after a horrible, hot, too long of lines trip at Disney with 2 toddlers who have no patience for delayed gratification! So Gatorland was so refreshing as it was something to see/do at every corner. We paid for only General admission but added the sit on gator pic for $10 a person. I was disappointed the train was not working but we didn't even notice after it was all done. We enjoyed the gator show the most and my 3 year old had no reservations sitting on the Alligator but my husband was able to sit with him and the gators mouth is tapped close. My 2year old enjoyed holding the baby gator and both enjoyed the feeding of birds. We spent about 3 hours in Gatorland and we plan on coming back as my boys get older, I HIGHLY recommend Gatorland if you visit Orlando! read more

Not as impressive as I expected or hoped for. There's a lot of gators which our family enjoyed seeing but many other things are lacking. Riding the Bone Crusher was awesome but it did not last nearly as long as it should have for the price. Phillip was our announcer on the ride and he really sold it. We attempted to ride the train but it broke down and we sat on it for about 15 minutes before getting off. The guy working said it had been doing that a lot lately. Gatorland is one of the most unique places in Orlando and I love making a stop every time I am in Orlando. They have expanded greatly over the years and each trip feels like a brand new experience. They have so many alligators all of difference ages. It's really fun to feed the alligators either with the protein pellets or the fish on a hook. The nature walk through the bog was really cool as well and there were several large snapping turtles throughout the walk. It was very educational as well from learning that albino alligators could not survive in the wild and that if you are ever attacked my an alligator you should hit them in the nose- as this is their weak spot. I would highly recommend this spot if you are looking for something different in the mix of all the Disney theme parks. read more

My boyfriend took me here on a Sunday afternoon and it was totally worth it! The parking attendant helped us find a good parking spot and upon entering, there was a line to get tickets. Florida residents get a discount and we decided to do general admission. If you have kids, you might want to try the gator express train ride. Your given a map of the park and can explore accordingly. There are some shows every 15 minutes such as the gator jump or gator wrestling. Keep in mind it can be fairly hot so put your sunscreen on, mosquito repellent, and carry water. There are food stations along with ice cream stalls to help cool you down. If your adventurous, you can even try gator meat. I found the park to be really cool, you get a good view of the gators from a safe distance and can even zip line for an extra charge over a gator pond. In addition to gators, you can see crocodiles, albino gators, birds, snakes, etc Overall, It was a fun experience and I'd be back here again once I have kids! read more

Had a fantastic time on my own (as a 30-something) in Gatorland! It's an interesting cross between a zoo and a theme park: on the one hand, they have a ton of animals (from lots of alligators and other reptiles to herons, parrots, and small birds in an aviary, a petting zoo, and capybaras) and emphasize their conservation efforts; on the other, they have shows with the alligators, ziplining, a small water park for kids, and a rock wall. Honestly, it was a ton of fun! The signs are very informative but, maybe more importantly, they were actually really funny. I've been to plenty of zoos, and I probably had more sheer fun here than at most others; the animals were very close, leading to a visceral feel to everything, and the clever jokes and occasional adult innuendos kept me chuckling to myself the whole time. All of this contributed to a place that was really fun but also educational. There was even a serene moment where I walked through the "breeding marsh" and found myself within arms-length of *multiple* nests of wild herons! tl;dr: I've never been anyplace like this before, and it was SO much fun! I got the basic adult entrance fee, spent about 2.5 hours at the park, and had a blast, but a family with small kids could easily spend a whole day here. read more

I kept hearing about Gatorland on the radio and different publications for about a year now. I guess you can say the Temptation or Curiosity finally got to me. I decided on taking my family there this past Saturday. The good thing about gator land is the parking is free and if you are a Florida resident, or at least this month, we are 50% off admission. As you walk into the park you will be amazed at how many alligators there are. They have babies all the way up to prehistoric type dinosaurs. One of the things I loved about gator land is they don't try to nickel and dime you like the big amusement parks. Drinks, food, beers, snacks are all relatively priced. You honestly don't feel too overwhelmed about spending money when you going get three waters and your total bill comes out to be four dollars and change. The food here is not bad either, they have a few different spots where you can order food that is made fresh right on site. I highly recommend the gator bites. There are some of charges that they try to get you to jump on board with. It is around $13 to get your picture taken holding an alligator, two dollars to ride their mini train, a few dollars to do their zip line. The zip line looks completely badass! Make sure you check out the different show options that they have. They have one of the talk about different types of snakes around the world, alligator wrestling, and my favorite... Is when they feed their really big alligators! This is definitely a family friendly park and if you have not been I would highly suggest that you at least take a few hours out of your weekend to check it out. Great experience and it exceeded our expectations. It was our first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We saw various animals outside of alligators. They had crocodiles, ostrich, whitetail deer's, fish, turtle, various birds, snakes, goats, and etc. Some attractions were zip lining, Stompin Gator Off-Road Adventure (this is a new attraction it was super fun, but a short ride) it would be great if they had on to it, Meet a Gator - You can get down and sit on the gator (its mouth is taped shut) and get your picture taken. You have to pay for the picture though, but your family members can also take photos while you are in the arena. They have various show times too...make sure you pay attention to the map and showtimes. Gatorland Grunt Package is a good option depending on what you want to accomplish on your visit. Package includes single day admission, Alligator Meet and Greet (get down in the sand, sit on the alligators back, and pose for the cameras), unlimited train rides throughout the facility, Gator Chow - you will be able to feed the alligators with the exception of White Alligators and Chester Parking was free which is good compared to other attractions and places around Orlando. Our visit to Gatorland was so much fun and a great way to spend a few hours learning about alligators and other wildlife. There are roughly 1.25 million alligators in Florida and for those people who haven't seen one in the wild, Gatorland is a great place to learn about them and to see them. They have different shows throughout the day such as gator wrestling and gator feeding and for an additional charge you can do things like feed the gators, have your pictures taken with them, feed a giant tortoise and things like that. I last visited Gatorland about 18 years ago and things have really changed in a great way. Every one of the employees that we encountered were so nice and so friendly and all the alligator handlers were more than willing to answer any questions you had for them. They had a snack bar with reasonable prices and fans running so you can cool off there. Gatorland like so many places have seen a huge decrease and visitors do to I have such a shame since they need visitors to keep up with every essence this facility, so I encourage you to visit if you're looking for something to do in the Orlando area and looking for something other than the theme parks to do. What a great experience and friendly workers and environment. We went over the Christmas holiday so they were quite busier than usual and they appeared to handle it well. I really enjoyed their 2 shows and the performers did and outstanding job and were funny. I just wish they were able to have other shows, but can't due to COVID restrictions. This is a true Florida "theme" park! The theme? Florida nature: specifically, alligators. There were tons of them, from the first moment we got past the gate to the shows to the moment we walked out. Baby gators, middle-size gators, huge gators, gator statues, and gator-themed memorabilia--they have it all. Something else that makes this place different is the cheap add-on experiences, which helps keep the base entry cost low. We paid the extra couple bucks for the train ride, which was pretty worth it (for $2). The narration included the history of the park, as well as the current things to see and do. It's not much of a thrill- or sight-seeing-ride, though, since the train slowly chugs through typical Florida brush. You definitely do not have to hold on to your hat! We also got a chance to go into the budgie aviary. SO COOL! There are tons of little birds flying all around and you can buy a popsicle stick of seeds (for another couple bucks). We didn't buy it, but just went in, which was awesome enough. Then, a nice lady from Indiana told us we HAD to borrow her stick for a minute to get the full experience, and everything became super-awesome. She told us this is her favorite theme park ever, and that her family comes here every time they're in Orlando because it's more authentic than the big parks. We agreed with that! As for a big add-on: we did schedule a zip-line course online before we came. It is a bit pricey, but it was totally worth it for the number of lines we did and the views that we got to see! I've done several zip and challenge courses throughout the southeast US, and this one holds its own. The staff were also awesome: they were knowledgeable, humorous, and supportive. The shows were silly and fun (and still very "Florida"), and they had multiple times for each. My only complaint: not enough bathrooms. There was a two-stall option near the splashpark, but one toilet was out of order. The option by the food was larger (four stalls) and cleaner, but was at the far right end of the park, near the boardwalk. For the number of people and the way the traffic flowed, the current set-up simply doesn't do justice to bathroom needs. Will definitely go back! read more

We had so much fun!!! There are discounts for seniors over 55+ (about $12) so my parents and aunt were able to get in cheaper. Florida residents also get a discount. We did the ziplining for one round ($10 extra per person) and that was a lot of fun! You end up going right over a lake where the gators live. Other fun activities: -walk by the bird cage and pay $2 to feed them. Now let me tell you, they get really rowdy for that bird feed on a stick so you will definitely get some good pictures. For some reason they became super interested in my shoe laces It was well worth the experience. -Alligators: Legends of the Swamp show: Great show to see a trainer wrangle an alligator and learn some gator fun facts. -Gator Jumparoo Show: Super entertaining show where they feed the gators raw chicken from a line. -Train ride: about a 10 minute right through the park to see the site. Overall, the price was decent and there was a lot to do. We got there around 2 pm and it closed around 5. We wish we had gone sooner to see more of the park, so until next time! read more

This place is awesome in that you are in the middle of nature here while being able to walk through a swamp on a wooden bridge as well as different lakes full of gators. You are exposed to the elements here (heat and humidity) as there are no indoor shows or attractions. Wild birds tend to congregate here as well as they believe that the gators provide protection for their nests above. Interestingly enough I got to see a gator eat a crane that must have thought that it would be safe. They have feeding shows, gator wrestling shows, a reptile zoo with various snakes, crocodiles, tortoises and alligators. Here you can probably see the place in two hours but there is a fair amount of walking involved. Make sure you have a bottle of water with you in the summer! If you come to Orlando for vacation, I recommend that you see this place. read more

I have lived in Florida all my life and this was my first adventure here. I surprised my daughter for her 21st birthday with this trip and upgraded to trainer for the day. You arrive 2 hours before the park opens was a total bonus!! Our tour trainer was Micheal Brown and we got the photo package too and amazing Brittany was the woman behind the camera. Michael was so awesome. He was charismatic, personable, super informative and funny. His stories and experiences he shared was great. The knowledge he shared about gatorland and the animals was highly impressive. He made a good tour super amazing!! Having Brittany along capturing it was fun. She was friendly and great to have along. While my daughter was getting really up close to certain creatures (tarantula) she was great company to me and my anxiety. Once the park was open it was great to see the shows and all the different folks in that came here. Hands down a great park ... But if you want an epic experience do trainer for the day and definitely ask for Micheal Brown you won't be sorry. read more

Overall impression: This place is an awesome place to visit. For me, a must go if you're visiting Florida. Prices: $30/ticket for adults for out of state $15/ticket for adult in state But there are always some kind of deals available Prices for food: Very reasonable. Example: $4-milkshake; $3.29-nachos; $5.29-pulled pork sandwich This place is fantastic. It's very reasonably priced for what you get, which is basically a full day of entertainment. There are shows going on all day, and exhibits everywhere if not just gators but crocs, birds, and other exotic animals. There's an awesome petting zoo and other hands on experiences. You can buy food in the park to feed the animals and to me, those are also very reasonably priced. There are other activities that cost extra within the park but again, I think the pricing is very reasonable. My recommendations for additional activities: -train ride 10 minute ride around the park ($2/adult) -emu feed (25 cents for a handful of feed) -gator feed ($5 for a pack of turkey dogs) -Adventure hour ($10 to feed gators with meat and get up close with lots of picture opportunities) The only issue we had was for some reason the staff was really slow at Pearl's smokehouse. There were only two people in line in front of us and it took almost 45 minutes to get some really basic food. read more
