    Smoked mullet dip
    Sam A.

This was a fun stop after a day in the Everglades. I enjoyed my fried grouper basket, it was really good. The smoked mullet appetizer was also tasty and unique. They also did steamed shrimp very well. We enjoyed the throwback atmosphere, it suited the Everglades location very well with some interesting regulars. If a dive bar atmosphere or the smell of cigarettes really bothers you, just find some other place to eat rather than leave a bad review. If you want an authentic Everglades experience and some good food, I recommend Gators Crossing. 3.5 stars

Boy, this was a conflicting review to write. Let's start with the positive. The service was friendly and fast. I had the made from scratch clam chowder. It was actually very good. It was nice a chunky. I think I tasted a little cheese instead. I would order this again. We ordered a few appetizers that look good like spicy Cauliflower deep fried, WI deep fried cheese curds and fried mushrooms. I liked them all. They tasted great. They where well seasoned. The cheese curds was my favorite. I ordered Grouper Sandwich. That was a big sandwich. I loved the crunch. The fish was cooked well. It was nice and flaky in the inside. It was cooked in a nice crunchy battered. I liked it. A side of fries and lettuce and tomatoes came with it. The food was great. My reason for the low rating and my personal reasons. I am not a smoker. This place has people (many people) smoking by the bar area. In the inside so the cigarette smell is strong no matter where you sit. I moved around lol. But if that is your thing. This place might be for you. I have been driving by this place for years and always wanted to stop in. First impression as I walked in was that the place was a little neglected as in the ceiling had webs and other little things. My low rating was not on the food. But the way the restaurant is kept.

Loved this place! Long history of amazing food, servers are so sweet and great hosts! The gator bits and fried curds were amazing totally the place to stop!!!!! Will always stop here when coming down this area! It is cash only but totally worth it :). They do have an ATM inside.

Stopped in the this dive for an impromptu drink on our way to the gator swamp/everglade tours. Friendly staff, smokers everywhere, high prices for drinks - $48 for 4 drinks. I probably couldn't hang out here for extended periods since everyone, everywhere, chain smoked.

BBQ pork sandwich with pickle and chips at the bar. Hmmm.

Hoping I survive long enough to write this review. Okay, I did survive and well there isn't a whole lotta good to say about Gators Crossroads. That is of course unless you are looking for a kinda seedy, barley a step above a trailer park, type of biker watering hole bar, out in the middle of nowhere. Or you are camping next door, got set up late and don't feel like cooking in the dark. As I did. So, this place doesn't look too bad from the road at night. As I walk in it still has a bit of an inviting feeling to it. Old and in need of renovation but a local hangout type of ambiance. I belly up to the bar and am greeted by the bar tender Tracy. Friendly and quite the character in a interesting way. Don't want to say much more, you will just have to experience her for yourself. They have your usual suspects on draft and in the bottle. Nothing surprising here and the menu is pretty straight forward with your usual bar foods. So I order a draft and BBQ pork sandwich. Beer was fine, pretty hard to screw that up, but the pork sandwich came out looking like it was made was made hours earlier and sat under a heating lamp til I ordered it and to top it off the bun was stale. Sad to say the chips were the best part of my meal. Now to be fare, this place looks like it could be fun at the right time. It has a lot of room inside, a decent size bar and a couple pool tables. I believe they have bands here on some occasions and I bet this place probably fills up with bikers at those times. I do not see myself ever coming back here to eat or even to sit and have a drink. But if by chance I am in the area and there is a band I may stop and give it a second chance. For now I will just wish Gators Crossroads the best of luck and will hope for the best. Cheers. P.S. CASH ONLY. Almost forgot to post this. There is only a small sign behind the bar to let you know. Very easy to miss and they should be more upfront about this fact.

Fish sandwich with fries, kids burger no bun, and yummy yummy gator bites.

Definitely a dive bar. Stopped in for lunch because there is not much else around, waitress was friendly enough and food was tasty.

Our first visit we had the coconut shrimp (9/10), GF pasta bolognese (9/10), and a GF pizza (8/10). Our second visit we ordered the crab Rangoon (7/10), shrimp Alfredo (10/10), and another GF pizza which was delicious too. We recommend coming here to eat if you are like us and love to eat great food at a reasonable price. The place was very accommodating to our baby as well- with clean high chairs etc. The drinks were great and they have a great selection of gluten free food which is nice. Ricardo was our server the first night- he was great- always approached our table with a huge smile and had a great energy. The second night we had Jairo and he was wonderful. We actually arrived as the restaurant was closing and he took our table and served us like we were kings and queens even though his shift had ended.

We arrived around pm so the restaurant was not busy. Hubby and I had our choice of seating. They have a full bar, separate pizza oven from the other kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe is a little weird though. It's an Italian restaurant who plays sort of like cruise ship dinner music combined with sports on several tv's. There were several people working but one guy was the host, the bar tender, waiter and runner. He was pretty efficient but I'm not gonna lie, I watched him wipe his face several times without washing his hands. That sort of did it for me. Jinny's sandwich came out way before mine which wasn't a big deal as I know it typically takes awhile for a heavy pizza to bake. Not sure when I will learn, do not order deep dish pizza from a place that doesn't specialize in it. Just because you line a pan with crust does not mean it's deep dish. The sauce was ok but I would not order it again. It really was just a regular pizza with tall sides. Very underwhelming.

Pretty good burger. For those who like to drink under a thatched roof outside, there is a tikki hut. The establishment's motif is all over the map. But let's just stay with the island theme in Naples, FL. Would I go back again? I don't know, I have had this book marked, and I have eaten at another of their establishments, Sonny's. Tough place to locate because there is very little signage. We were able to find it after driving around a bit. We found a nice parking spot in the rear of the hotel that it sits beside. Upon entering the area where the music stage is set up, we noticed a decent crowd with everyone sitting and enjoying the music. The bar is inside where everyone goes to get a drink. The service was good...a couple of bartenders ready to help, if needed. The crowd was mainly older adults....ages 40-65 would be my guess. The music was good....all the hits from the Eagles to Nirvana to James Taylor. As a first timer, it was kind of confusing where to order food. However, I did not notice food being served. I did notice a small restaurant set up in a small seperate building but there was no one eating in there. I guess the bartenders take the order and then deliver the food. Would I go back?
