We decided to celebrate our anniversary at Gauchos, and what an incredible experience it turned out to be! While the salad bar was fresh and plentiful and the steaks varied (some absolutely outstanding), what truly stood out was the exceptional service. I genuinely can't stop thinking about it! From the moment we sat down, everything was seamless and the bread appeared on our table instantly, and when we stepped away for just a minute to check out the salad bar, our iced teas were already waiting when we returned. The servers were so attentive that our drinks were constantly refilled and the meats kept coming without us ever having to ask. Every detail was handled so quickly and efficiently, it felt effortless. Truly impressed by the staff! The restaurant is only about 10 minutes away, which makes it even better AND we can't wait to return and bring our family next time. Chama Gaucha used to be our go-to, but honestly, this place checks all the boxes especially the short distance. The dessert was a bit underwhelming, but everything else was simply exceptional.

Went in for lunch today with husband, everything was just as expected. Service was exceptional, everyone kept checking up on us and tending to our needs. It was nice the staff serving meats to us took care and didn't spill on us (another Brazilian steakhouse kept dripping/splashing meat juices on us), and our server even served us the sides on our plate (even though I could've done it myself... the gesture was nice). Ambiance is perfect for date night or for what we wanted, a good meal with great service. Certain selections you have to request for, but they always deliver. Highly recommend to request sautéed onions & jalapeños! Perfect side with the meats!

I really wanted to love Gauchos Do Sol and while the service was absolutely stellar, we were waited on hand and foot, the food just didn't match up. The Brazilian lemonade was AMAZING, but the meats were a big letdown. Out of all the many options,, only two meats stood out as good, while the rest, including the lamb chops, lacked flavor. It honestly felt like I was eating air food. The salad bar was just a little better, but still nothing to rave about. With this price point, I truly expected more. Unfortunately, I'm 100% sure I won't be back.

Go hungry! I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner here with some friends. Once the green card is up and the salad bar has been visited the food is non stop. I felt like people were coming from every direction every minute with new food to try. The meat is delicious, seasoned and prepared well. My favorites were the grilled pineapple, the salad bar options and the lamb chops. I didn't get to try the shrimp but it looked delicious. When you're full or just need a break flip your card from green to red. They have an extensive wine menu. A variety of cocktails and appetite options Plenty of parking options, great location with friendly and efficient staff.

Everything was perfect. I wish I could give them 6 stars. All the usual meat suspects, perfectly prepared and presented. They even have fire roasted pineapple and bacon wrapped Scallops. Excellent first course bar. The lobster bisque was excellent. Many such Brazilian places seem to have skinned down their fare but not this one. Their wine and cocktail selection is great. 5 star restaurant service. Everyone was so sweet. Waiters even pulled out chairs to help seat their guests. Super attentive service. Robber baron level. We felt extremely well treated.

I really enjoy the experience of all the meat that comes around and getting to choose multiple different cuts. The service is top notch- very friendly and attentive! They want you to make sure you get what you want. The ambiance is more upscale, warm, and inviting. The salad and sides bar is nice with a lot of options, the cheese rolls are warm and delicious, and the meats are amazing!

Gauchos had been on our list of must try restaurants so we were very excited about our visit. The place is beautiful and our reservation time was perfect as there was still not a lot of people inside dining or waiting. We very seated immediately. We had the worst service. Our server was not friendly and rather dry but the worst part, he would forget absolutely everything. We had to continuously flag him down and ask for things multiple times. I asked twice for my coke zero after our table had received cocktails. They bring cheese bread which was delicious and we had to ask four times for a second basket, I repeat four times because our server would simply not bring it. We had to ask other servers for things such as new plates, beverages and of course the cheese bread. We love a great steak and found this was not the right place for good quality and great tasting steak. The meats were not flavorful and surprisingly not as many options as we were expecting. The medium cuts were overcooked. The salad bar was okay but not as many options as other places with salad bars. What I enjoyed the most here we're items from the salad bar such as the blue cheese and lobster bisque. Pretty pricey dinner for blue cheese and lobster bisque. If you just want to stuff yourself with all you can eat meat this is your place, the price will be worth it. If you care about the quality and taste of your meat, for the price there are plenty of steakhouses in Houston. The service could have helped our experience a little but we did not even enjoy that. We won't be returning.

Me and wife had to try this establishment. The outside of the restaurant is amazing but once you enter it decorated beautifully. We were sat out table it was a little dark but the ambience was great. The waiting staff was excellent, our guy was on it and many others also. The salad spread was amazing lots of great foods to choose from but don't eat too much roughages, leave room some protein. I didn't have to flip my indicator for meat they swarmed us with delicious meats. I really enjoyed the ribeye and picanha steak . We left there full! A little pricey but worth it. The only hiccup I had, was the waiter asked if I wanted desserts but was too full. Instead I asked for a coffee to settle the meat. I had already paid my bill and was charged for the coffee. Come on folks, you guys can't be this stingy. Anyways will definitely return to this establishment. You can figure roughly $100 per person.

This was my first time coming to this Brazilian steakhouse, and my friends and I came to try the HRW menu. The salad bar was great and the meats were all so delicious. But my favorite part was the dessert! Thankfully there were 3 of us so we tried each of them and I cannot even tell you which one was my favorite because they all were spectacular. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

First time this location. Definitely make reservations. Food was good. Salad bar was ok but other Brazilian places have better. Full experience price is higher than all the others but they are the only place in Katy for now. Been to the other location twice. Liked that a bit better.

We had a reservation for 3 at 6:45 PM and were seated promptly with no issues. Chama has a reputation for being the best Brazilian steakhouse in Houston, and I have always considered it as such. The service is phenomenal and consistent, unlike other AYCE churrascarias that do a big wave of meat up front and then ignore your table. However, Chama has changed significantly since the last time I was here a few years ago. Most noticeably, the price has gone up significantly. I don't blame them with the beef price increase in the US but it is a hefty tag. Secondly, several dishes are basically upon-request. The lobster bisque, for example, is no longer self-service. Additionally, sausage and some meats come very rarely and should be asked for so they can be prepared. Salad bar: I'd say relatively standard, I usually load up on the salmon, a piece of pork belly, and some asparagus and cheeses to reset meat flavors. Overall, for the popular cuts, I tried to get a bit of each. My general ratings are as follows, but I would emphasize that relative to other spots they are great cuts in general. New York Strip (3/5): Incredibly buttery almost to the point of oily. Rack of lamb (4.5/5): Deliciously gamey, very tender Picanha (5/5): The house special and well deserved; extremely tender and flavorful. Bottom sirloin (3.5/5): Slightly less heavy than the NY Strip but overall wouldn't take too much over the better cuts. Ribeye (4.5/5): Right behind the picanha in terms of tender meats. Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon (2.5-4.5/5): I had one piece that was actually pretty tough, and another that was perfect. Don't let it sit too long I guess. Upon request (did not come around in the first ~hour): Shrimp (4/5): Quite salty, but really good mix in flavors Costela (Beef rib) (5/5): Fatty, delicious flavors, really tender. Don't let it get cold. Sausage (2/5): Too fatty for me but it was enjoyed by others I was with. Other things that came around rarely - polenta, the fried cheese they can put honey on, and some other sides. But, everything will come if you ask. Lastly, their flan is very rich and sharable and we got it to-go after getting stuffed (for a birthday). Shoutout to our fantastic waitress Romy for being attentive to allergies and getting us the cuts we really wanted. Chama is definitely still a fantastic spot to celebrate something or really indulge. I've got to be careful with cholesterol and reset afterwards though.

I really liked the peppercorn on the lamb chops and top sirloin. The amount of fat to meat was perfect for me. I really enjoyed the salad bad too. Eggplant, beets, pineapple; all delicious. Besides the typical cuts like picanha, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, and lamb chops, Avenida also offers Wagyu steak, ribeye, NY strip, salmon, shrimp, and even lobster soup. I prefer my steaks medium rare, and the meat was incredibly tender. My favorites were the top sirloin, lamb chops, and filet mignon. The service was phenomenal. They don't play the usual games that many Brazilian steakhouses do by bringing out the cheaper cuts first to fill you up. Instead, they consistently walk around serving a wide variety of meats throughout the meal, which really elevated the experience. Honestly, the only thing holding this restaurant back is the interior design and exterior appearance. I can barely notice the restaurant while driving by because the outside signage and overall presentation don't stand out. Meanwhile, Fogo de Chão (in Katy for example) catches attention immediately because the building and interior feel upscale and polished. Avenida seriously has better meat quality in my opinion, but the restaurant could benefit greatly from renovating the interior, improving the lighting, and creating a more modern and inviting romantic vibe. The food and service deserve a much busier crowd.

I think if it was a little bit colder it would have been a point or so higher. churrasco gaucho was a solid 9 out of 10. It was super flavorful from meat to me. For two people, we ordered: 2x Coxinha (3.5/5): While the chicken is a tad dry, it's complimented well by the creamy sauce 1x Kibe (3/5): Reminded me of a meatball crossed with a falafel, like something you'd order on a skewer. Not too grainy and a nice smoky flavor. 1x Risole de Camarao (4.5/5): I thought this was a better version of the Coxinha. The shrimp flavor really permeates and reminds you of a shrimp risotto in a single bite. Churrasco Gaucho (16oz) (2/5): We decided to get this to sample all of the meats. Unfortunately I thought everything was really salty. Maybe it's characteristic of the Brazilian grilling style, because the smoky flavors did come through, but it just felt too salty for me on everything. Honestly maybe it just needed some kind of vegetable besides beans to help offset. Whatever their chili sauce is (5/5): I have no idea what this is but it reminds me of mashed up bird eye chili sauce..it's really good. Sprinkle it on everything. Helps with the saltiness of things.
