We chose the Gazebo Inn for our pre-wedding mini moon celebration. We absolutely loved our stay and enjoyed all of the amenities. We especially loved the large salt water hot tub and mid-day snacks (mixed nuts and large chocolate chip cookies - which were delicious). They also offer a mixed drink and wine at the self serve bar during the day. We stayed in the King 7 room and it was spacious. We loved the rain shower head. I also highly recommend the chocolate sampler box add on! We had the chocolate and champagne available at check in which was a nice touch. The hot tub was often quiet around 8pm and made for the perfect end of evening activity. They have an ample selection of towels and robes by the pool that are available to use. We also enjoyed a couples massage offered by the inn. Breakfast was very yummy! Each day there is a large selection of options you can pick and choose from. They had the breakfast offering for the day displayed and then you check off what you want with a marker on a short form. The inn is about a 10 minute walk from Footbridge beach, which was awesome. Wow - what can I say about the Gazebo Inn that will do it justice?! We chose the elopement package months ago and when the day came this place did not disappoint!! Everyone was extremely warm and welcoming and they have this wedding package down and perfected!!!!! We were given a tour of the entire Inn and we're told about the history. When we checked In to our room we found a sampler box of chocolates from a local store. The room was fantastic and comfortable. The shower, magical! What was even more mind blowing was the breakfast! Wow! Coffee available all day! The bar area was byob and also had a self serve special Cocktail of the day. There we're snacks and baked goods! The day of the ceremony was easy and efficient! We were driven by the Inn's car service and brought to marginal way where the officiant met us. There we walked to a beautiful spot with the perfect view. The ceremony proceeded and we had a bit of an audience and the onlookers congratulated us. Professional photos were taken in the perfect spot we were married. After the ceremony and Photoshoot we were driven back to the Inn where additional photos were taken and we were treated to champagne where we toasted and had a slice of the cake we brought! After some downtime we were driven to the restaurant we chose to have dinner, Clayhill Farms, where we were treated to a four course meal. We only needed to pay gratuity and for any drinks. The food was phenomenal. Once finished we handed the server a card and the car service picked us back up. The inn keepers and owners are top notch. There are very thoughtful amenities such as, an alcoholic drink of the day, snacks, freshly baked cookies and a tea/coffee/hot chocolate station set up throughout the day. Breakfast is a rotating selection made to order daily, and boy are you in for a treat. The Maine Blueberry Pancakes and the French Toast are my favorites. It's a good location, just down from the well known Ogunquit Lobster Pound Restaurant. I especially enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor pool area. The staff would come around regularly with freshly baked scones or cookies while guests were in the spa. The place is kept very clean. Scott (the owner), Peter, and Missy helped me and my husband realize our perfect wedding. My husband and I chose the inn's elopement package. We wanted to keep our wedding day simple and small, but still sacred. We also wanted to spend our wedding weekend at a comfortable, friendly, luxurious place in a town we enjoy. The inn's website has pictures and 3D tours of the inn which are accurate. We chose one of the suites. The shower was its own exceptional experience (rain shower head, jets on the walls, steam room capability, two seats), the bed was massive, with beautiful carved posts, and comfortable. I loved the little zones within the room - small breakfast nook, kitchenette, bathroom, small living area with a leather couch, leather chair, and TV. Missy gave us a tour of the inn when we arrived which was welcoming and helpful (there are many details and spaces to know). The grounds and various common spaces all fit the homey yet luxurious aesthetic. Even Scott's homemade breakfasts are served with barn house-style hammered silverware and orchid blossoms on the plates. Every touch is lovely. Our wedding day was perfect. We had a tasty breakfast. I went to get my hair and makeup done and my husband got ready in the room. We picked up cake and flowers. We had two guests (they allow up to four) who helped us with the preparations. In the late afternoon, Peter and Missy drove us over to the Marginal Way where we met the officiant and our guests (who had been given parking instructions by Scott). One of our guests took a video with a streaming camera and Peter took photos efficiently. The inn provided champagne for a toast at the inn and set out our cake. We booked this inn for our wedding in the fall of 2023. We specifically booked this inn for the elopement package they offered. Our overall experience was wonderful. Scott was very helpful with the details of our special day. Our ceremony was held on the Marginal way which was beautiful. It was so nice to be driven there and back and not have to worry about anything. We really enjoyed the dinner at Clay Hill Farm, it was so romantic. Overall it was an amazing experience and we are so glad we chose this inn for our special day. The staff was very accommodating and the inn is very beautiful. One thing I would recommend to anyone who chooses to have the photography option of the elopement package, is to plan out the pictures you want for your special day. I would plan specifically with Peter to ensure those pictures are part of your package. I would also ask to review the pictures as they are being taken to ensure it meets your expectations. Being so wrapped up in all that was going on that day, we did not plan out specific pictures and just went with the pictures that Peter took that day. I don't even think I can begin to explain how much my husband and I loved staying at the Gazebo Inn. It was easily the best place I have ever stayed at! When we booked the reservation we scored the last room that was available and after looking at a few other weeks it looks like we are not alone, it was pretty much booked solid with just a few random open days. Totally understandable why it is booked up, what an amazing place! We were laughing when we booked our room in Barn Suite 2 saying we were probably the only folks in the world that were super excited to be sleeping in a barn! LOL, it was NOTHING like we were expecting, it didn't look like a renovated barn at all, it was stunning! The decorating was flawless, country, kitschy, cute; the bed was huge, confortable sheets, and it really high off the ground; the fireplace was built into the wall and you could either sit on the couch watching the fire or hang out in the huge hot tub in the bathroom with the fireplace on next to you; the shower was huge, it took up an entire wall and had four jets; and there was a kitchenette (dishes, silverware, cups, microwave, refrigerator, and a sink) and there was a flat screen TV. Oh and the room was easily bigger than some apartments I have lived in. The grounds of the b&b are pretty cool too. There is a really nice garden next to the big gazebo in the front when you first pull up. The main building has a kitchen, a dining room, and an area where you can get DVDs and VHS tapes to watch in your room along with menus and pamphlets for stuff to check out while you are in the area. There is also a small gym in that building also. There is also a back patio area close to the pool and outside hot tub. Inside the 'barn' there is a bar area where they have complimentary mixers for you to make drinks with, along with a comfortable sitting area near the bar which was nice. Heading upstairs there are five barn suites and then another floor that is an office/study area along with a great ocean view. The entire b&b has free wireless which was nice and it was a fast connection too. I highly recommend the Gazebo, I loved it so much. Gazebo Inn: 5 stars (can I give more?) Monday morning at my apartment after staying here: 1 star (can I give less?) Honestly Pete's hash browns are enough for a 5 star review, but Scott's service, the scones, french toast and biscuits, fresh-made blueberry sangria and margaritas all helped with just making the "Breakfast" part of this B&B exceptional (OK, the sangria and margaritas were later in the day but I won't judge if they're part of your breakfast). The pool, hot tub, sauna, massage room, steam shower, and homey feel made the "Bed" part another 5 stars. There was an exercise room too, which is really the only negative. Why have it there so I feel guilty for not using it after that breakfast???? Everything was just as clean and nice as it looks in the pictures. Not sure why my expectations weren't higher, but even if they were they still would have been exceeded. Will be back! read more

This was our 4th trip to southern Maine(we live in Des Moines Iowa) and each time we have stayed somewhere different. That is until we came to The Gazebo Inn in Ogunquit,Me. What a fabulous place!! There are 14 rooms here and it is geared for an adults-only crowd. The rooms are lovely. The Inn itself was resurrected from an old barn and chicken coop and it has been lovingly and elegantly restored by owner/Innkeeper Scott. Beautiful common areas, library with ocean view, pool,large hot tub and included hot( delicious!!) breakfast every morning. The staff here are extremely polite and helpful. Every concern or need is graciously taken care of. Scott gave us great suggestions for restaurants, activities,beaches and parking. We try to get to southern Maine twice a year and from now on we will be staying at The Gazebo Inn- we've found our vacation home! read more

The weather was absolutely beautiful and we were able to still enjoy the pool and the hot tub on a late summer weekend. Scott and Peter whip up the best breakfasts. This place is awesome! I booked here for a surprise weekend away for my girlfriend and myself. I added on a birthday package to be in room on arrival, a limo to dinner on Saturday and breakfast in bed for Sunday. Everything went perfectly as planned. They serve breakfast every morning from 8-10 and the food was excellent, the scones were the best we have ever had! I am an early riser, like 6 am everyday, no matter what! There are keurig coffee makers and sugar, creamers and coffee mugs in every room, but I am a tea drinker. I went down to the main lobby area and was hooked right up with tea bags and milk, no problem! I highly recommend this B&B if you want something classy and romantic. Scott the owners attention to detail is impeccable. The rooms have everything you would need. They even provide a noise machine which we did not need since room was very quiet. I have stayed at the inn twice and stayed in one of the smaller rooms both times. This time I stayed in 8 which was well designed for a small room. It has high ceilings which makes the room seem bigger. There are so many common areas too. Guests can spread out on the property. It never feels crowded. Also the property is adults only which suits me. You can walk to the beach as well. It is an incredible value too. On Cape Cod you would pay twice as much for a room. This our second year staying at the Gazebo Inn for a romantic get away/Birthday night at the end of March. The service is great. I've been searching for a B&B with upgrades but still a warm inviting feel. This place is perfect. We have stayed in Suite 3 which has fully upgraded bathroom with hot tub and steam shower. King bed with sitting area as well as a small kitchenette. Even in the winter there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Construction is going on the year on the main road the inn is on, but they are putting in sidewalks all the way to downtown. A big plus for this place for summer visitors. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of options between blueberry cornmeal buttermilk pancakes, cereal, decadent cinnamon french toast with real maple syrup, fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, crispy hash browns, spinach and feta, peppers and onions and more! There were also meats like sausages and corned beef hash for my husband. The location is perfect- close enough to town but not in the center of all the hustle and bustle! I walked into town daily (sometimes multiple times), but it was so easy to pop down to the beach (about a 10 minute walk) or to one of the many coffee shops (about 16 minutes to Backyard), which was especially pleasant early in the morning. They also have everything you need for the beach (coolers, chairs, umbrellas), but honestly it's over crowded and loud, and it only took us an hour of listening to screaming kids and lifeguard whistles to realize we were much happier and more relaxed at the Inn! Oh, and it doesn't get more convenient than having a trolley stop right out front if you don't feel like walking. Any minor issue was taken care of immediately. For instance, we noticed the air conditioning wasn't as strong one day, and when we told Scott, he put an additional window unit in right away. We loved lounging by the salt water pool and jacuzzi in this quiet, adult only atmosphere, and the water was perfect (80 degrees compared to 58 at the beach). Our room (Barn Suite 1) was so warm and cozy, we felt like we could live there. We truly had a spectacular stay for our anniversary, and we can't wait to go back! *As a side note if you stay here, we highly recommend dinner in town at Northern Union, a walk along Marginal Way, and ice cream from Rococo. read more

We just completed a stay in Barn Suite #4 for my husband's birthday. Having never stayed here before we did not know what to expect. To summarize: everything is top notch and carefully thought out. From the grounds (hello outdoor heated pool and hot tub), to the food (breakfast so good that you will skip lunch), to the owners/staff (pride of ownership is clearly felt here) all aspects of our trip were wonderful. I have been wanting to check out The Gazebo Inn after having stayed at Captains Quarters numerous times. Captains Quarters is wonderful too and dog friendly. I really wrestled with the decision but in the end decided on a me, kind of indulgent night. WOW! I am so glad I did. I just got done with a long steam shower. I chose to stay in their library suite which is the entire third floor. Full kitchen, four seating areas plus a dining table, make this suite more conducive to a get together but luxurious to get some writing done. Do not hesitate! Surround sound, fireplace that is in the bathroom and living room, jacuzzi for two, and I haven't even tried the breakfast that people rave about. I Will definitely be back frequently. I may need a second job to afford it, but you get what you pay for and this might be heaven. read more

These guys go over the top to make everything a five star experience. If you must hear one downer for me its the line of amenities. I am hoping they will switch to Kiehls or something more upscale. That is my only tiny gripe. The next time in town I want to try the Nellie property since 2Village is closed in the winter. There are some lesbian couples that frequent the inns but not many males. i love you gazebo inn. i love that you are pet friendly (although i didn't trust my pet enough to bring her.. the option is still there) i love that you had cheap rates in feb.... cheaper than a few other places. i love the pretty kitchen and the sprite and beers in the fridge. i love that the hot tub was open.. and really, really clean (seriously, hot tubs freak me out a little bit... too much info from the pool cleaning guy once....) but your's was superb. i loved the tall bed and clean rooms. the breakfast could be better... loved the toast and sausage, but could have done without the watery eggs. overall gazebo inn i love you.. i'll be back in the summer, so don't let me down. read more

The innkeepers are super friendly and accommodating and make the best scones and breakfast we have ever had! The Gazebo Inn is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, bars and a short drive to boutiques and downtown Ogunquit. We enjoyed the quiet pool and huge hot tub as well as the workout room and sauna. Our room was fabulous with a newly renovated grey tile rain shower bathroom and conveniently located one step from the pool! I enjoyed two afternoon naps poolside on their comfy and cozy lawn chairs. I would give the Gazebo 6 stars if I could! We stayed in one of the suites and OH MY GOD was it a fantastic weekend! I'm not one to give out praise easily but the Gazebo met and exceeded my every expectation. We had everything we needed in our suite and could have survived in there without even going outside. Our suite included a 2-person hot tub and an amazing shower with rainfall showerhead and side jets that doubles as a steam room! The room also has a gas fireplace, heated floors, free wifi, built in XM radio with speakers in the ceiling, a wet bar, and the most comfortable bed and sheets I've ever experienced in a hotel. You also get access to a library/media room with board games, internet access, 100+ DVDs to borrow and a view of the ocean, a BYOB bar with all the bar glass you need, a gorgeous 20-person salt water hot tub, gym, sauna, and all the coffee and tea you can drink. There is also a spa with massage services (for a charge) and I had one of the best massages of my life! The staff could not possibly have been more helpful or friendly. They really made us feel like family! Not to mention (which they don't advertise nearly enough) the hotel is certified green and encourages guests to recycle. Our stay included breakfast which was fabulous and their scones are to die for! We ordered a dozen scones to bring home with us and I asked my husband to keep me from eating the whole dozen upon our arrival home!
