We had a fabulous stay last week! Rhonda is the best innkeeper! She attended to our every need and made the stay so enjoyable. She cooks delicious and satisfying breakfasts and includes a small mason jar of snack for later. Plus, homebaked afternoon snack served daily. We decided to splurge and upgrade to the King Suite for our last two nights. The added space and private balcony was well worth it. It's an easy walk to the beautiful beach. I booked a few days back in August for my birthday in September at OGT Inns' Ogunquit Village Collection - Nellie Littlefield Inn & Spa, Room Names Start with "Nellie". My fiance had a medical emergency and was brought into emergency surgery. I made multiple attempts, calling every day from when I cancelled to speak with management, spoke with front desk people answering phones who said they left messages and I received ZERO response. It was a medical emergency, not a sudden change of mind. So this "luxury" hotel doesn't give you the courtesy of a call back. Also the spa is not onsite, they have a hot tub. False advertising. ​​​I'm shocked by the lack of professionalism and utter disregard for respect. But as long as they get your money, this greedy hotel is content. read more

I have made several calls (4 calls to be exact) requesting to talk to the business manager as I had to cancel my reservation due to my fiance's medical emergency that required surgery. I have had ZERO response. The blatant disregard of my request is astounding. We had a medical emergency and you only care about taking my money. Horrible service. A beautiful historic home perfectly located in the center of charming, artsy, and LGBTQ friendly Ogunquit. The Nellie Littlefield Inn was a perfect home for our short stay en route to visit family further up the Maine coast. Rooms are spacious and well decorated: we had the King 7, on the third floor with a tiny balcony view of the beach in the distance. Facilities for a small inn are top notch. The sauna, steam room, gym, and outdoor cold and hot plunge pools were more than we had time to use. The lovely front lawn has lounge chairs and there are rocking chairs on the porch. Many restaurants and shops are within a short walk, as are the beautiful beach and spectacular Marginal Way cliff walk to picturesque (and touristy) Perkins Cove. Heath and Brian are thoughtful and attentive hosts, telling us the history of the inn and guiding us to good local options on days both sunny (the beach and outdoor cafés) and cloudy (the art museum, Marginal Way, and Sunday "tea dance"). To start each day, they prepared a great breakfast basket for guests, beginning the day off with tasty baked goods, yogurt with honey, fresh fruit, and hard boiled eggs. Coffee and tea, with light snacks are available throughout the day. For COVID summer travel, masks are required throughout the inn while inside and in common areas. Rooms are well spread out, as are breakfast tables on the porch. The town of Ogunquit did a fantastic job with preparation, with friendly signs everywhere and all businesses very attentive about safety, with clean pens for signing receipts, contact tracing, limits on numbers of people in shops, and hand sanitizer everywhere. It made us feel very comfortable and as safe as possible. For a getaway, you can't go wrong with the Nellie Littlefield Inn. I hope that what started as a very slow summer for beautiful, tourist dependent Maine ends with a safe, socially distanced, and busy fall. read more

I can't say enough great things about Nellie Littlefield's - Aaron the innkeeper is great = really helpful and friendly. From start to finish everything is always great. The rooms are really nice no matter which one you choose - suite or regular room. All the little things are hit - linens (towels, robe, etc), furniture (beds), amenities - hut tub, spa amenities, fitness room, steam shower, sauna. Umbrella's, beach gear are supplied as well - if your into that. Breakfast is great - not your plain standard offering - elevated breakfast buffet. I almost forgot to mention the location - it is perfect = right in the middle of the center, walking distance to everything. A must stay if your in Ogunquit. read more

Had an amazing, comfortable and relaxing stay. Kudos to the innkeepers Heath and Bryan. Upon check-in, it was Heath that gave the tour of the facility; the history of Nellie Littlefield from its humble beginnings thru its current time; and what it provides (cold/hot pools, mini gym, spa, massage services, etc.). Overall, the lawn, trees, garden plants, and its surrounding vicinity were all very well maintained. He suggested bars, restaurants, shops and sites that are worth visiting. He carefully explained all the Covid-19 protocols that were in place.  The location was perfectly situated in town. Dining establishments, shops, village grocery, candy, ice cream shop, Perkins Cove, Marginal Highway Trail and Ogunquit Beach were all in walking distance. The room was provided with luxurious pillows, bedsheets, plush towels, robes and toiletries. The fridge was stocked with bottled spring water. The furniture were well kept and very modern. The bed was very comfortable. It had a decent-sized flat screen tv and cable. The WiFi signal was strong which was an advantage as a backup to cellular signal. Beach towels, umbrellas and carry-on rollers were available if you decide to venture into the nearby walkable beaches.  I'm not much of a beach person, and spent most of the time by the pools. Large pool towels were provided and shatter-free glasses were accessible thru the cupboard if you want to bring your drinks to the pool. Since Covid-19 and social distancing protocols were still in place, he served daily breakfast in a carefully curated and lovely picnic basket that included rotating menu of eggs, toast, fruits, yogurt, an offer of unlimited coffee, teas and juices. He meticulously prepared them in the fully stocked kitchen every morning. A Keurig machine along with a variety of flavored coffees, hot cocoa and teas were also present as well as filtered hot/cold water machine by the office. The best part of the room was that it had a balcony albeit being on the smaller side. I hung out there almost every morning drinking coffee and having wine during the afternoons. It was quiet and away from the street that often gets noisy from other travelers passing by.  Perhaps next time I'd be able stay longer -- and spend more time at the more spacious King Suite -- if it's available at the time of booking. read more

Took my husband here for our honeymoon. We were treated like kings and the Nellie had all the amenities we we're looking for. We were served an amazing breakfast in a picnic basket that we could enjoy where ever from the dining room to our private patio. The staff was friendly and even pointed us in the right direction for our explanation of the area. Added bonus was most things were in walking distance that I barely used the car and saw most of Ogunquit. Close enough that we went for walk on the beach and yet there's a whirlpool tub and a hot tub on the grounds. I plan on going back soon read more

Their website offers a spa experience, yet upon making a reservation to experience just that, I was informed that they do not offer any of the services they advertise. They recommend a nearby salon, which is closed on the day that I reserved my stay. I booked there to have a restful few days at a spa and since this was not really what they advertised, I insisted on a full refund. Yet to see if they do the right thing. read more

Although the inn and grounds are well-kept with nice amenities, and the inn is well-located, my two-room top floor suite had some issues. The room key had problems throughout the stay, and although the owner applied WD-40 a few times, I would think at $400 per night they would have applied a final solution (new door knob, perhaps?) so I would not have had to worry if the key would work or not each time I had left the room. The key I was issued also could not work the front door; thankfully, this key could use the side door. Of the two bathroom sinks, only one faucet worked correctly. The chest in the bedroom - warped drawers - so I could not use them. When I arrived the faux heater was running at full blast and I could not turn it off without the owner's intervention. To be fair, the owners did fix the problems quickly (although the chest was not fixed, they did remove my clothes from the chest for me after I could not open the drawers), but I always wondered if the key would work. As for the breakfast, what a total disappointment. Of the 4 days I was there, they served hard boiled eggs 3 days in a row! When I first reserved this suite months in advance, the website led you to believe that there was a bountiful buffet. I get with COVID-19 there had to be a switch to a picnic basket, but come on, hard boiled eggs, as well as Nature Valley Granola Bar, M&M's, and Chobani Yogurt 3 days in a row? Oh, I forgot to add the bagel. Not impressed. If I had known in advance this was "Breakfast," I would have booked elsewhere. The breakfast leads to me believe that the owners wanted to cut expenses. Oh, I was advised at check-in to add a 10 percent gratuity to my bill! I was then asked by the housekeeper during the stay if my room needed cleaning. Sorry, at $400 a night, housekeeping should not be optional. I did tell the housekeeper my room did not need cleaning for the two of the days I was there, but the bed was not made the other two days. Again, this inn has unbeatable location to the restaurants, beach, Marginal Way, and it has a dipping pool and hot tub, was well as a basement gym and sauna. Owner was very good about giving you a tour of the establishment at check-in and a map of the area. However, if you want an on-site friendly host, a well-maintained room, and good breakfast, I would look elsewhere, especially for the rates this B&B charges. I was insulted when I was pressured at check-in to add a 10 percent housekeeping gratuity. Not cool. Ogunquit is lovely and safe, and I would not hesitate returning to the town, not just to this establishment. read more

Can't Wait To Go Back! Upon my arrival, Aaron, the new innkeeper, cheerfully greeted me, proudly gave me a tour of the inn and made sure I was settled in my room. Throughout my stay he was helpful as could be and it was obvious that he loves his job! My room was the only one on the first floor and was beautifully furnished with a king bed and two armchairs. A built-in dresser/closet gave me plenty of room for my clothing etc. A Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, TV, and DVD player were also provided and DVD's were available to borrow. I enjoyed the gas fireplace unit which made it feel very cozy and the ceiling fan kept the air moving while I slept between the super soft sheets and fluffy pillows. Three good sized windows provided fresh air on the October mornings. Use the blackout shades if u want to sleep in. The bathroom was roomy and the big tub was a welcome surprise. I had one terrific soak during my stay. Thick, fluffy towels, robe, hair dryer and the usual toiletries were provided. The basement is appointed with a gym but I never workout on trips...it did have nice equipment though. The steam room and sauna were my saving grace one morning after a night of martinis. I was renewed. The pool & spa are located behind the Inn, but I did not get a chance to use them. Breakfast: Aaron makes amazing breakfasts! As good or better than any restaurant in town. Every morning was something different and delicious... The offerings varied each day such as; blueberry pancakes with REAL maple syrup, smoky bacon & hash browns (with or without peppers & onions) / French toast, blueberry compote, fresh whipped cream and berries, chicken apple sausages & hard-boiled eggs / scrambled eggs infused with brie, corned beef hash and shaved, perfectly seasoned steak. Daily staples such as yogurt, instant oatmeal, fresh fruit, scones, toast, three kinds of juices (blueberry, orange, cranberry) and cereal were also available as well as at least 4 varieties of freshly brewed coffees. All-day offerings included a variety of hot coffees, herb tea, scones or cookies and were available at all times Location: a short walk to the ocean and literally less than 1/2 block from the center of town. Very convenient and surprisingly not too noisy for a room on the bottom floor and so close to the heart of town. Parking: I did not bring a car but other guests were parked in the area near the pool/spa The front porch faces Shore Road and comfortable rocking chairs made it nice to enjoy some people-watching as the tourists strolled by. A few of them gazed at me with what I imagined were jealous eyes as I sipped my tea and smiled from my glorious perch. Many commented on what a beautiful inn it was and I did feel just a little sorry for them but maybe they will stay at The Nellie on their next trip! read more

We had the most amazing stay at the Nellie! We were the first guests for the new owners and they are exceptional hosts. We stayed in king room eight, which has a lovely balcony with ocean views, a cozy sitting room, two gas fireplaces, a soaking tub and luxurious walk in shower. Brian and Heath, the innkeepers, made sure that everything about our stay was perfect. They even coordinated couples massages for us offsite as their spa was not up and running yet. We had a hot, fresh, and delicious full breakfast. The decor inside fits beautifully with this grand historic home. As if all this wasn't enough, the location is ideal. It's steps away from all that's happening in Ogunquit and only a short stroll to the beach. We will definitely be back. If you are looking for lodging in Ogunquit, look no further than the Nellie. And make sure that you have one of their giant homemade chocolate chip cookies- they're to die for! read more

We came during the off-season and was so pleased by our experience. Aaron is an awesome innkeeper and took great care of me and my husband. We arrived late on a Thursday night to a warm fire, clean room and comfy bed. The location can not be beat! The first morning we woke up to freshly made blueberry pancakes, has browns, and sausage. Even though we were the only two guests, Aaron brewed 4 types of coffees so we could have our pick. The next two mornings were as special as the first. Aaron was able to make sure we had everything we needed over our special birthday weekend and I will certainly be back to the Nellie Littlefield. read more

The innkeepers, Tricia and Charles, were super-welcoming, and friendly. The home is charming, spotless, and centrally located. Suite 6 feels like you're in a treehouse because it's circular and has lovely view of maple tree tops on the grounds. Little details like soft linens and thoughtfully prepared breakfasts make it even harder to leave. It's a short walk away from beaches, stores, and eateries. This place is very clean, organized and right in the ocean side of street. We loved it and found it overall very comfortable, though bed caused some back pain (but we are spoiled by bed at home). This past weekend was our first time in Ogunquit. Nellie Littlefield Inn was perfectly located - minutes from the beach and town center. There were so many details that made our stay so wonderful. Carts, chairs, umbrellas, sunscreen and towels readily available for a day at the beach. Breakfast was served daily - and it was so much better than expected. You could taste the love that went into the meal preparation. In the afternoon fresh cookies and beverages were served in the lobby for guests. There is plenty of outdoor space for relaxing (and people watching). We were truly treated like guests, and are already planning our next stay. read more

We noticed a huge change in the ambiance of this place. Although the stay was adequate it did not have the same feel as before. The previous innkeeper made you feel as if you were a member of his own family and that he was hosting you as a invited guest as opposed to performing a perfunctory duty. Breakfast was similar to what you would receive at a Hampton inn and not up to the standard of our previous visits . We had to request juice, milk and did not feel the love. read more

Stayed here last weekend for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Perfect place to get away and relax.
