Me and my little brother with Charlie the Pilot
    Steven A.

Charlie was a great pilot and host for our tour. He does a great job talking about the sights to see and was polite and just a great guy. This was definitely the highlight of our Las Vegas trip and MAKE SURE YOU LAND at the bottom the Grand Canyon! It was definitely the way to go!

I was a little skeptical to begin with this but This was by far one the best experience I have ever had! The whole process from pick up to getting ready and flying was very fun! Our Pilot Mike Love was unbelievable and I Thank my experience to him! Will definitely recommend buying the recorded video! Thanks

My wife and I had a great experience riding in the helicopter ride. The staff was very friendly and when we had to wait one of the customer service representative offer us champagne during and after the tour.

Had a great ride into the Canyon with our female pilot who was extremely calm and confident. Had the demeanor of a senior wife body captain, which was very comforting. That being said, GCFlght is a middle man/broker and does not actually operate the aircraft or employ the flight crew. Also, always check with concierge or call the middle man directly as web booking is easily $100 more per person.

My son and I loving the ride. The headphones and mics are for talking to each other during the flight.

My husband and I surprised our two children (ages 4 & 8) with a helicopter tour over the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. The whole experience was wonderful! The shuttle picked us up at our hotel on the Las Vegas Strip and drove us to the little airport just outside of Vegas where we were greeted by the helicopter tour staff. The waiting area and helicopters were clean and comfortable. The helicopters were able to hold 6 passengers so we were broken up into groups and met our pilots. Holly was our pilot and she was beyond terrific. She explained step by step what the trip would look like. We were all given a safety overview before being seated on the helicopter. The flight was so fun and Holly took us in to the canyon and shared many fun stories. We took many pics on the flight with our own cameras. Upon landing, we were given the option to purchase a professional photo but there was zero pressure. The shuttle brought us back to our hotel safely. Great trip. Highly recommend.

What an amazing experience... Who knew you could hop on a helicopter from Vegas and land in the middle of the Grand Canyon!!! The pilot played amazing music the entire way and it was just such a pleasant and magical experience. We even saw wild horses!!! If you aren't scared of heights or flight ask to sit in the front seat. Money well spent and something I would do in a heartbeat!

Our…read morepilot got us up in the air and back down safely, and we were able to take in some incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding area. That said, the views weren't dramatically different from what you might see flying over Vegas in an airplane. The helicopter definitely gives you a closer and more unique perspective, but I wouldn't say it completely blew me away. Was it worth it? I'd say yes, it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you've never been on a helicopter before. However, the views of Vegas themselves were a bit underwhelming for me. Maybe I've just been to Vegas too many times, but the scenery didn't have the same wow factor that others might experience on their first visit. Overall, it was a fun bucket-list experience, and I'm glad I did it, even if it's probably not something I'd rush to do again.

My friend and I had very poor seats with almost no real view, which defeats the whole point of a scenic helicopter tour. Even worse, one person in our group was not even allowed onto the helicopter, and the company still did not properly refund that passenger Poor organization, poor seating, and poor customer service. Not recommended.

There is a roomy indoor waiting area with a variety of seating, including stools with power outlets. The restroom was pretty large and clean, better than the one at the JSX (the semi-private airline) terminal. There is also seating in an outdoor patio with views of the helicopter launch area. Since I booked the earliest of these short tours, the terminal was quiet and check-in was seamless and kind. Every passenger is weighed at check-in to balance the weight on the helicopter. You have the option of requesting a front row seat ($30); you are charged if and when you are upgraded. I unfortunately did not make the cut, but I ended up being very satisfied with my rear window seat behind the pilot. Our copter had 2 seats in front, 4 in the rear. Some of the other copters have 3 front/4 rear seats: I think these are the ones that go to the Grand Canyon. We watched a safety video in the terminal, then boarded a shuttle for the brief ride to the helicopter. A photographer and the pilot accompanied us. Your photo is taken outside the copter before boarding. The seats have noise-cancelling headphones you can wear; they have music playing. The ride was smooth and quick. You basically go north on the east side of the Strip, make a U-turn just north of Downtown, then head south on the west side of the Strip. You can see every hotel on the Strip and Downtown, plus The Sphere, the High Roller Ferris wheel, T-Mobile Arena and Allegiant Stadium. Back at the terminal, your photo and a flight certificate are available for purchase. I did give the pilot a gratuity, others on my flight (all were non-American) did not. The company offers a myriad of tours--Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and more. Some of the Strip tours have added perks like a meal or foodie tour; the basic tour I took can include transportation to and from your hotel if you choose. Recommended.

Unfortunately, our experience aligns with several others. Often times, only people frustrated with…read moresomething will bother to write a negative review, but those with a positive (or expected) experience will not write a review. So it always tends to be skewed and you have to take reviews with a grain of salt, so I was hopeful that would be the case for us and we wouldn't experience the problems that others have. Just as several others have mentioned here, our flight was cancelled the day of, after we arrived. We booked SEVEN months in advance, paid in full ~ $1200 for family of four. We arrive 30 minutes prior as instructed. They tell us, sorry, we have mechanical issues, so you are cancelled. They say, we tried to call you (we received no call because, guess what, cell service is not the best around the south rim of the grand canyon...). We said, we have seen at least 4 helicopters flying, how about canceling someone else, how do you select? Did everybody else here book 7+ months ago? Who is prioritized? The reality is they overbooked, and because we paid 7 months previous, we paid less (I looked, their prices went up since we had booked). So I guess we were the easy choice to cancel... They offered to rebook the next day, yet they know that nearly nobody can accomodate this, so it is a hollow offer where they know they can "do their part to try to rectify", but also know that nearly everybody would then just cancel, and the problem takes care of itself. Great business model... Everybody that is going to book a helicopter trip over the grand canyon is there on vacation, and nobody is staying anywhere near grand canyon village or the location of this airport. It is an hour drive just from Williams and the main road, one way. Anyone who books this is driving in from Sedona or Vegas or Phoenix for a half/one day trip, and vacation days/time is precious. Its not as though you can just go do something else nearby and wait until the next day... We had one window of time planned, and the time of this flight was it. I suppose that is why they do not really care about customer service, or screwing someone last minute. Its not like they are planning for repeat customers really... Kids were beyond disappointed. The build-up and excitement, only to be completely let down last minute. They cried as we were walking out and leaving because the talk of the helicopter ride was happening for months prior. And now to the refund. The girl at the counter said the refund would take 7-10 days. Ok, thats typical, whatever. 12 days goes by, no refund. E-mail and call. They respond and say that, because its been more then 6 months, we cannot refund back to your card. We can either ACH (and attached a form) or send a check. I respond to tell then to send a check. Who in their right mind is going to provide their bank account number and routing number into a microsoft word file and e-mail it back? Fast forward ~ 21 days. Still no check. So send another e-mail (haven't called yet because that is a whole other experience...). I receive and e-mail back, not a response to my e-mail, but a carbon copy of the first one sent 9 days prior saying I can use ACH or check. Um, huh? So here we are now, still no refund. Fortunately, since we were heading to Vegas that day (was supposed to be right after our helicopter flight), we booked with Maverick for a helicopter flight over Las Vegas the next day. $450 for family of four, and the experience was excellent all around. I'd recommend Maverick, and avoid this company.

We were picked up by Rachel and Fred, the guide and driver respectively at the hotel. The Mercedes' streamer was clean and super comfortable. We arrived at the first site: Beehives. Rachel explained how the Mormon settlers had named the rock formations as it reminded them of beehives. Rachel let us meander and tak the obligatory pics. Then we went to the pictographs of Atl Rock. These pictographs were carved centuries before by the area's indigenous peoples. Without a Rosetta Stone their meaning is lost to posterity. We then did a hike: Wow. Rachel tolerated the Gen Xers making the obligatory references to Star Wars' Tatooine. She made sure we had plenty of water--and the poor sole--lugged additional water for the group. She was considerate of heat stroke and dryness and had us seek cover in natural shade. Fred was considerate and had the a/c turned on about 15 minutes before our arrival to ensure a cool van. We drove to the visitors center and had a prearranged lunch that Detours had picked for us and which we had prepaid for. Amazing. I can only say good things about Rachel and the driver. Bathrooms are very badly maintained at the park. I would say, nauseating. In addition, there is no where to buy food or water other than at the visitors center and the choices there are paltry.
