Rubicon JKU MetalCloak Springs falcon shocks

I would recommend Geared For Speed for any of your Auto builds after Lenny did some tuning on my Corvette. I told him about my 2017 JKU Rubicon that needed front ball joints and one of the first things he said was don't buy cheap ones look at synergy that's exactly the brand I was going to buy so after we talk JEEP I told him what I wanted to do to my Jeep and he said no problem he has experience in building Jeeps so I went with the Core 4x4 control arms and 2.5 ton steering kit MetalCloak, springs and Falcon shocks. Lenny did the whole install and WOW what a difference in the drive he lined everything out for me. Looks good drive straight the next day when I got it back had to take it out for a drive. So we cruised out to Wildomar. For some four wheeling what a difference from stock. I know Lenny can do anything hot rods from jeeps plus great customer service. He wants to make sure you're happy with your build now I can't wait for my next build.

The photos show the lazy job I had received. I take full…read moreaccountability for not replying when I first said I would. However, I followed up a couple weeks later asking if a certain date worked. I even explained that I had been busy and said the only time I'd have to bring in the car would be the following week. I paid $450 for this wrap and an extra $100 for the wrap itself. When the first job was done poorly, I went back to the shop to address the issues and they said they would fix it. I texted on a Tuesday expecting a response, and I waited until Sunday to follow up again. Instead of Lisa taking accountability, she told me I "did not reach out," which is extremely unprofessional and untrue. I had apologized for being busy, and I did reach out; she just did not respond. When I reminded her the job was poorly done and how there had been no response, she took zero accountability and tried to use my words against me. Lisa ignored my response when I explained how the situation should have been handled and how she failed to reply in a professional manner. As the customer, I should not have to teach someone how to treat me correctly or how to run a shop professionally. I wasn't trying to start problems; I stated the truth about the situation, but she did not like that. I went back because I had already paid and just wanted the work corrected. I dropped my car off again on Monday around 11:30am. The shop texted me claiming the wrap "wouldn't adhere," which I knew was an excuse. I told them to proceed because the material was fine, and if they couldn't install it, that was their shop's error. The rest of my car's wrap was perfectly fine. To double-check, I contacted the previous shop, who confirmed this shop was making excuses, saying, "The wrap sticks just fine. It sticks on the rest of your car fine. They're talking nonsense." I knew they no longer wanted to service me, and I no longer wanted their service either. I paid a good amount of money for this treatment. I made sure the job would get done. The shop told me the job would be done by Wednesday late afternoon. This was the second time they confirmed a deadline and failed to meet it. I made it clear from the start that I have a busy schedule and cannot afford delays, yet they did not respect that. Removing and rewrapping a front bumper is a 1-2 day job, it is not like I was asking to wrap half the car. I set a boundary that if it was not ready by 5pm Wednesday, as they confirmed, I would request a refund. My whole car was wrapped, had parts added, brakes caliper color change, and badges blacked out in about a week. I took it to another shop before taking it here. (Dependable Guys in Santa Ana) I am not a professional, but I am not stupid. There were no photo updates either, I had to ask for them. When they finally sent a picture, the wrap looked freshly slapped on two days after I dropped the car off. The day I dropped it off, they said the wrap did not adhere. It looked like my car sat there for two days until I asked for the photo, or it took them two days to remove a month old wrap and throw on one big piece lol.. My car is a small sedan, a CLA, not a supercar or SUV. Her words were: "Ok we will remove all the wrap and give you your money back. Come and pick it up today." She added, "You are demanding the refund so come get it. We cannot accommodate the time frame for you. Thank you we will be gone by 5 so please make it in time so we can process the refund." However, Mark (the installer) had reached out to me and told me him and his co worker would come into work early to finish the job. This was the second time they broke their own deadline, and instead of taking accountability, she tried to flip it back on me. Lisa took everything personally when this situation should have been handled with professionalism. I never asked them to remove my wrap; I just wanted the job done properly. The installer Mark was professional, but Lisa was disrespectful, dismissive, and extremely immature in how she handled the situation. I told them to leave the wrap and keep the money. This was their mistake, which took up the free time I rarely have. Even after I explained my situation, reminded them of prior mistakes, and was patient with the delays, they still couldn't get the job done on time. I didn't want or need the money back; I needed my car back lol. It was clear they didn't take me seriously, and I was forced to escalate this further, which she didn't like either. This was waste of time and caused unnecessary stress. I was frustrated because I had to deal with unprofessional and immature behavior. All I got were excuses, missed deadlines, and poor communication. This business does not stand on its word or its service. Don't bring your car here. Many shops in OC offer far better service and professionalism. I recommend Dependable Guys in Santa Ana! It turns out the wrap sticks just fine and clearly they were making excuses... 3 weeks no issues.

I did tell him I was stuck between 55% windshield and 15% all around or go with 35% windshield and 5% all around. I came back to check the car out after it was finished, I am very happy with the 55% windshield and 15% all around as that is already dark enough for privacy. For someone like me that drive a lot and drive at night time a lot - I will consider this a gray area for driving at night time. If I went with 35% windshield and 5% all around - I don't think i'd be as happy lol. That would be too dangerous at night time driving. I also got the head lights PPF (light smoke). Day one, due to moisture was scary to drive at night time. After day one was over, it looked phenomenal from the inside out... I was debating on changing the PPF head lights out for clear on day one, now that I am used to it and the moisture disappeared, I can see just fine at day and night. Only thing I can say about the cons, I noticed a little bit of glue left over on the side window. Besides that, they did a very good job and Leo don't mess around about his business, he is serious about getting the job done right.

Coming to EMD Auto is about as easy as taking a walk in the park. Quick, relaxed, straightforward,…read moreand you leave satisfied. No unnecessary headaches, no sitting around wondering when someone is finally going to pull your car in. This is our second time bringing our 2025 Audi RS3 to EMD for maintenance, and both experiences have been great. Both times we've worked with Thomas, and he's genuinely one of the reasons coming here is so easy. He's down to earth, easy to talk to, and scheduling is always a breeze. You do have to call to make an appointment, but I actually prefer it this way because when you arrive and check in, they're ready for you. They pulled our car in almost immediately. No appointment at 9:00 just to watch your car sit outside until 9:30 like you sometimes experience at a dealership. Parking is another small thing that makes a difference. There's plenty of space, so you're not circling a packed dealership lot or squeezing between cars just to drop yours off. What I really like about EMD is that they're not limited to basic maintenance and repairs. Yes, you can bring your car here for regular service, but the exciting part is the modifications. Intake, intercooler, downpipe, exhaust installs, Stage 2 setups and more. This is definitely a place for enthusiasts, but you don't need to be a car expert to come here. That's where Thomas really stands out. You can tell him what you're trying to accomplish with the car and he'll take the time to explain the different options, what you actually need, what makes sense for your goals, and what doesn't. There's no attitude or expectation that you should already know everything because you own a performance car. Ask questions and he'll explain it. That is especially important to us with an RS3 because once you start modifying these cars, one change can lead into another. It's nice being able to have an actual conversation about what you're trying to accomplish instead of feeling like someone is just trying to sell you the next expensive part. The waiting area is also surprisingly comfortable. It's clean, open, and has plenty of room to sit. There's a TV, comfortable chairs, and most importantly when Southern California decides to cook everyone outside, it's nice and cool inside. You can actually relax while you wait instead of feeling like you're sitting in the corner of a repair shop. Then there's the pricing. Compared with what we're used to seeing at dealerships, EMD's prices are significantly more reasonable. More importantly, you don't get that feeling that you're about to receive a list of mysterious "recommended services" and random charges you weren't expecting. Bring the car in for what it needs, talk through the work, get it done, and move on with your day. For anyone with an Audi or VW, especially someone who has a performance model or plans on modifying it, EMD is absolutely worth knowing about. We're particular about who touches our RS3, and after two visits, we've had a consistently good experience here. We'll definitely continue bringing the RS3 back for maintenance, and knowing they can also handle the fun stuff makes that decision even easier. Now the only dangerous part is coming in for maintenance and leaving with ideas for the next modification.

Project Import is one of those rare shops. What separates them isn't just the quality of the work, it's the level of thought that goes into every decision. They don't just ask what problem you're trying to solve today; they ask where you want the car to be years from now and build accordingly. Every recommendation is made with the long-term goal in mind. I've brought them some complicated issues on my 1JZ-swapped E30, and at every step they've been realistic, honest, and incredibly meticulous. If something needs attention, they'll tell you. If something doesn't need to be replaced, they'll tell you that too. No upselling, no shortcuts, no guessing. Just real diagnostics and real solutions. What I appreciate most is that they refuse to take the easy route if it's not the right route. A lot of shops will get a car out the door as quickly as possible. Project Import takes the time to do things properly the first time. In the long run, that actually makes their work a bargain because you're not paying another shop to redo it six months later. Their fabrication, attention to detail, and workmanship are top-notch, but honestly the biggest value is the trust. When they tell me something, I believe it. When they recommend a path forward, I know it's because it's the best solution for the car, not because it's the most profitable solution for them. At this point, I won't take my cars anywhere else. If you're looking for a shop that's honest, highly skilled, forward-thinking, and genuinely cares about doing things the right way, Project Import has earned my highest recommendation.
