And to the cashier's credit, when I ordered he said, "you said you want the snapper?" So, I am excited for my next visit to see what the other fried fish tastes like. But the showstopper was the Fish Chalmette with speckled trout. Phenomenal dish. Perfectly prepared fish with an incredible crawfish cream sauce that made every bite better than the last. While the main courses are always the star of the show, their sides need to be discussed as well. My favorite is probably the cabbage which is sautéd till crisp tender. The beans and rice could be a main course, but are excellent as sides. Cornbread tops off the meal.
