I've been coming to Gee Eye Care for the last 2 years and the service here has been great. I only discovered the place from my brother who raved about Dr.Gee's skills and practices. in addition to taking my insurance, BCBSTX. The practice is not afraid to incorporate new technologies and innovative practices to better treat the patient and your eye sight. Appointments can be made online with courteous email and text reminders of your appt. In addition to filling out forms prior to the office visit. This saves you time on having to show up an extra 15 min to just fill out forms. The practice integrates the use of iPads in their daily operations so you know they are up to date in techno stuff. The place is clean, spacious, and modern. Rooms that each serve their own purposes. Yes, Dr.Gee may employ some young college students to handle his front desk and appointments but I see it as a great thing as he does it to inspire and educate future optometrist. All his employees has a passion for the eyes and the well being of the patient. I myself have taken for granted the importance of vision. Appointments here are not quick 5 min in-and-out services. Full appt can last an hour to do the dilation and eye vision tests. Its the full blown one on one, all about your eyes session. They do the whole inspection of your eye from the optic nerve to the lens. Dr.Gee has always provided honest and straight to the point advice with reference if you require it to back up his suggestions. For example, I asked about laser eye treatment. In the last year he's also been adding more certified optometrists to his practice like Dr.Hunter who I recently just saw for my "contact conjunctivitis." I give his practice 5 stars for the individual attention and great service. The practice has been there for my emergencies. One time I went out of town to San Antonio without my glasses and spare contacts. My contacts had ripped and I was blind. I called Dr.Gee which was directed to his emergency line that connected directly to him. Mind this, it was 7 am...and he picked up!! It was a shocker to me bc I thought I would have gotten a recording. Nope, it was sure enough him. He tried to see if he was able to get ahold of a colleague that lived in the area to give me a loner but wasn't able to reach them so he faxed over my prescription to the local Walmart which he personally contacted for me. I then went over to the Walmart and purchased a new box of contacts. The second emergency was my "contact conjunctivitis" that occurred while I was at work and he was able to fit me in for an appointment the following day, still accommodating my work schedule. That's two emergencies within a 6 month period and more than any eye doctor place has EVER done for me or I would have ever expected. His hours may be unusual compared to other practices but definitely accommodating to the 9-5 working class who needs appts after 5pm. No need to request off work! The Office is located near the sienna plantation area off of hwy 6 which is far from the city but well worth the drive for the "extra mile" service. Btw, I have only found his office to carry the "Salt" brand of eyeglasses and these are only for the most exclusive practices that earn such exclusive rights to these type of sales so that also can indicate something extra special to their selections of brand of eyewear. It's about time I change out my 8+ year frames and old lenses so I will be returning not only for my yearly check up but new lenses. read more

I was in search for a new place to get some glasses as my contacts were starting to bother me. I looked online through my company's insurance and found Gee Eye Care. They were close to me and had great hours on certain days during the week. With my insane work schedule you can't beat a place open till 8 PM. I got there a bit early, filled out some paperwork and Bam! I was called to the back to get started on the exam. The entire staff was very friendly. Dr. Gee is very modern. All his equipment is state of the art. Even to dilate my eyes I didn't get the old puff of air treatment oh no ... he had a whole new way of doing it. It was the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. He told me things about the health of my eyes I didn't know and ways to maintain that health. I was so pleased with my visit my wife and kid also went there, as well as my mom. About a month after I got my glasses, I had err ... umm ... what you call a mishap, an accident; well to be honest I stepped on my glasses and broke them. I took them back to Gee Eye Care where they fixed them free of charge. You had me at the word free. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!! - They quoted me a price for an eye exam, and surprised me with a bill 3 times the amount that was quoted. - The person that checked me in at the front desk was the person who did the exam...that is not professional. - I checked out and paid for my visit in a back room rather than at the front desk; extremely rude and unprofessional. - I was given a receipt that had no description of my visit. The line item read "Custom Amount." That is probably the worst receipt I have ever seen in my life; I will be screwed if I have to validate this charge to my insurance. - When this claim came through my insurance, it was completely wrong. They double dipped costs and tried to screw over me and my insurance. read more

Dr. Gee's office was wonderful! They're open after work hours and on the weekends which is great for my schedule so I don't have to take off work. I went on a Saturday and I didn't have to wait! The lady at the front desk was very friendly and took me back to a room right away. They were very attentive and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Gee was very professional and really listened to my concerns. He didn't act like he was in a rush to get out and made great suggestions. My son had an eye injury & Dr. Gee worked us into his busy schedule that same day. The staff were amazingly efficient & took us right back to the exam room. Dr. Gee is very personable, attentive, & showed he truly cares. He explained everything & answered all our questions. He takes his time during appointments, appears to have the latest technology in his office and all of his staff are super kind and courteous. Gee Eye Care is an absolute MUST!! This establishment was one of the best that I have encountered in many many years. From the time we walked into the door for my teenage daughters first appointment (eye exam), we were treated like family. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor (Dr. Hunter) were professional and courteous!! I would recommend this place to anyone, especially new patients. I was a little worried about my daughters first visit and walked away so very happy that I called and made the appointment. I had a great visit at Gee Eye Care. I was looking for a place that had extended office hours and a thorough eye exam. I found it at Gee Eye Care! Their hours on Thursday and Friday are until 9:30 pm! Dr. Patel explained my exam results to me and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Gee made my frame selection an awesome experience! I have never been more excited to order glasses! They are equipped with the latest equipment and also practice being green.
