To be clear, I have only spoken to the receptionists and not the doctor. I took my son in September 2024 for an annual eye exam and contact lenses fitting. He received the prescription for daily contacts which he wore over a year without any issues. We requested weekly contacts to save on the cost. My son tried the weekly contacts for over 2 months thinking he needs times for his eyes to adjust to the new contacts since they are a different brand but it was still uncomfortable for him. On 12/14, we contacted the office to see if they can provide another prescription with different brand or provide a sample so my son can test it out. The receptionist stated she will leave a message for the doctor and she'll give us a call back. The receptionist also stated they can email us the prescription. Never received a call back from the doctor. Then on 12/17 afternoon, we received a call back from another receptionist. This receptionist stated my son needs to come in for another exam because he reported his vision is blurry. I ask to do a 3 way call with my son so that we can clarify because that is not what he told me. We did 3 way calls and he stated the weekly contacts are very uncomfortable and it causes his vision to be blurry if he wears it for a while. When that happens, he closes his eyes and his vision is back to normal. He clarifies that he can see clearly with the weekly contacts. The issue is only when it's uncomfortable to his eyes. I thought the receptionist understood what he said, but I guess not because I received another call in the evening. This time is a different receptionist and she said my son needs to come in for a fitting. I ask if there is a charge for this visit and it took her time to answer yes. I ask why is he needing another fitting. She states the doctor needs to examine his eyes again. I ask why when he just had an exam in September. She stated it's their policy when it's over 2 months. I refuse to take my son back in especially this place for another eye exam when he clearly said the weekly contacts are not very comfortable. It's the brand of weekly contacts that does not work for him. Instead, this office insists that he needs to come in. All they want is to charge for another visit. At this point, I just want the office to send me the prescription with the results from the September exam and the receptionist hesitated. The morning receptionist (Karla) came on the phone and stated she recorded my son's conversation and he said the daily and weekly contacts caused his vision to be blurry. That was not what he said because I was on the phone when we did a 3 way call. I strongly suggest they listen to the conversation again if they recorded it and really listen to what the patient is saying!!! This is the first and last time I will go to this place. I would rate this place with a negative if I could.

Unfortunately, after arriving about 10 minutes late, the staff spent another 15 minutes trying to locate the appointment because it had apparently been entered under my name instead of my son's. Regardless, the appointment was still made through their own system. After finally finding it, I was told they were "fully booked" and could not see my son. I specifically took my son out of school for this appointment, and the situation could have been handled much more professionally and respectfully. Instead, the staff came across as rude, dismissive, and inconsiderate of our time and effort. Customer service seems to be lacking more and more these days. Mistakes happen, but how staff treat people matters. A little understanding, communication, and willingness to help would have gone a long way. Very frustrating experience overall.

If I need to see an eye specialist then why would I want to return to this place, ??? Save yourself some time and money and never use this place! The employees are rewarded with commission on every person that pays out of pocket! This motivates them to take your money no matter what! Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. After checking in, we paid his copay and requested an itemized receipt before he was seen. That's when we noticed an additional charge for an optional retinal scan, even though no one had asked my husband if he wanted it. We immediately brought it to the receptionist's attention. She apologized and explained that she would have to wait 24 hours before she could process the refund since the payment had already gone through. While I appreciate that they agreed to refund the charge, it should never have been added to the bill without first asking for our consent. Throughout the visit, the receptionist appeared to be new and seemed unsure of many of the processes, which made the experience feel disorganized. After the exam, my husband was given a glasses prescription, even though we had come in for a contact lens exam and never requested a glasses prescription. He was not provided with a contact lens prescription. We were then quoted nearly double the price for an annual supply of contact lenses compared to what we had been told over the phone. When we questioned the difference, we were told that the original quote came from an offshore call center and was incorrect, and that the higher price was actually the correct one. Overall, we left feeling misled. We chose this office specifically because of the pricing we were quoted over the phone, only to find out it wasn't accurate. Between the unauthorized retinal scan charge, not receiving the contact lens prescription we came for, and the significant difference in the quoted contact lens price, our experience at the Sugar Land location did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately we won't be returning.
