Don't know why I never thought to review Geek Force before, I've been using their services for over 10 years, as have lots of friends I've turned on to them. What follows is based on my experience, don't take it as company policy. Verify with GF before, not after, requesting their services. While I am guessing GF mainly does business systems (which I'm not addressing here), my friends and I all have home computers and have used services from installation of new computers to virus cleanups to itchy screens (you know, the computer suddenly won't take your input, or wants to enter it somewhere other than where you clicked). - First, a tech-savvy human answers the phone (no press-this, say-that) and tackles your problem as efficiently as possible; if you leave an off-hours message or send an email, they respond promptly. How many places can you say that about these days, huh? - Hourly rates are reasonable, but if they can fix something without sending out a tech, they do (see below). - Techs are as on-time as possible (considering the unpredictability of servicing the client before you), and like Winston Churchill, they NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP until your problem is solved. You pay once, they come back until you're satisfied. (Within reason, of course; for me, that's never taken more than one extra visit.) - For a reasonable annual fee, Geek Force offers a maintenance package called Click 'n Clean that keeps your computer in good running order and guarantees that if you run the routine weekly and a virus still slips in under the radar, they'll clean it up free of charge. Running CnC is easy--you click a button and a series of apps clears your history and cookies, searches for viruses and malware, and defrags your hard drive with no intervention from you. GF sends a tech out once a year to update the various apps, and I usually piggyback other minor issues onto those visits with no extra charge. - A biggie: Some minor issues can be resolved over the phone by GF taking temporary control of your computer and THEY DON'T CHARGE for that if you're a client. I don't know if that's true for non-CnC subscribers, but if not it's a good inducement to subscribe. - FYI, though the GF office is in NW Phoenix, they work all over the Valley. And I've never had to wait more than a day or so for service at a time convenient to my schedule. I hear people complain all the time about not being able to find good computer service. If you're one of those, stop right now and call Geek Force. I think you'll be glad you did. read more

Paul Phillips came to fix my (80+ year old) mother's printer. He told her the roller wore out and it would be $200 for a new printer. (Basic printers are not nearly that price.) I was suspect because it's the same company that a few years ago told her her Apple computer was too old to repair and sold her a PC (hmmm..surprise...he doesn't work on apples) Can you imagine the learning curve she had to take on to learn a new computer system at her age? Well, I happened to be in town and asked if I could look at her printer-I cleared the paper jam within minutes-ridiculously easy. It was simply NOT broken. I have been using Geekforce for quite awhile now and never been disappointed in their work or how they respond to any question I ask them

They picked up my HP All In One that was showing a Fan problem. That was prior to June 17th when I received my first update letting me know fan was ordered and would be coming from China. Then received update on June 30 letting me know that china had sent wrong fan so would be delay, which I understand. On Sept 27th got call saying it turned out not to be a fan problem but a bad motherboard and would not be worth fixing. He also indicated would not be charging me for the 3 fans. I called them for their computer knowledge so why would I have to pay for that anyway? My bill is $75.00 to get computer back. I was not at all impressed with anything about Geek Force. read more
