Half the items I brought had to be brought back for either an incomplete job, or the seams or buttons started coming off/ out. They also seem to insist on bringing the shoulders shorter, which is much easier than bringing in the waist. I brought in a very nice dress, and they totally ruined it by making the neck area so small. I couldn't get it on after their suggestion to have it tailored that way... and then wanted me to pay to have that fixed. Currently looking for another tailor that will stand behind their work and do a better job. read more

Very rude and very expensive! Don't waste your time or money here. Took a few items to be tailored. The quotes she gave me are double what they should be. When I said I have to think about it she said "tailoring costs money." Lol of course I'm not asking them to do it for free but the prices/ her attitude was ridiculous. read more

GiGi herself is a class act ,very fashionable and professional. Her advice and insight on how a cut should be done and how is should fit is excellent - some tailors just say "yes" to a request w.out giving you alternative options or the up/downside of how a particular request may affect other aspects of the alteration. I got my bridesmaid dress altered here after the previous seamstress was unable to take in the top and bottom portions. The top was still too big and the bottom was still too small. She did a great job of finding a way to let out the bottom enough for me to sit and taking the top in some more so that it didn't look like a maternity top. Highly skilled alterations. I can't tell my items have been altered. I took in a denim skirt which needed the waist taken in (significantly). She Gegi explained I would loose the denim tab buttons on the side (not a big deal) because the alteration would need to take place on the sides and not the back. I really appreciated the information. The second item I had altered where brand new suit pants. She did a beautiful job! Very professional, polite, and warm. Sad to say Gegi ruined my wedding dress. I had to order one online the week before my wedding and have lost the $3,000 I paid for my stunning silk gown. It's very apparent she does not know how to work with silk at all and she ruined the seams on both sides leaving them lumpy and the dress unwearable. She also hemmed the dress too short (very elementary mistake) and sewed the comb on my veil backwards which I did not even know until my wedding day and it looks terrible in photos. I'd originally left her shop excited about my dress because she said it just needed to be steamed, although she did not have a steamer which is very strange. I steamed it myself and saw her work was terrible and the dress was ruined. She emailed me saying she was sorry and she was very sleepy from being jet lagged and hoped I understood. It's insane. I would 100% NOT recommend Gegi Couture for anything of value. read more

I have been really impressed with the work Gigi has done. I brought her 2 suits and 2 sport coats to adjust and update. She expertly adjusted the shoulders and waist to make the coats like new. She did a complete overhaul of a suit to make it modern (slimmer pants, shorter jacket length, tighter shoulders, etc) and now it looks like a bespoke suit from Saville Row. Her prices are not cheap but very fair considering the quality of the work and the money saved by refurbishing suits that had gone unused due to poor fit or old style. Take her anything that you don't wear because of the style or fit and she'll make it like new. She's also very gracious about requests for rework to get the waist or length just right. I wish I'd known about her years ago. Best tailor ever. read more

I have been going to Gegi for nearly 7 years. Now that she has her own shop, as always, she provides great service at great prices. During my last visit, she hemmed pants and put darts in a dress - she makes off the rack clothes fit as if they were custom pieces, and she is a pleasure to work with. She provides her opinion, but ultimately will do as the customer asks (but the times I have strayed from her guidance, I have regretted it!). I won't go to anyone else! read more
