This place was booming when we arrived - the line was to the door, but the service was quick. The line really moved. My daughter ordered a root beer float with vanilla ice cream and I ordered a peanut butter chip two scoop hot fudge sundae. I was surprised it had nuts on it, but I tried to pick them off. Who puts nuts on sundaes? The fudge was more like chocolate syrup, so that was disappointing. It was good, but way overpriced, in my opinion. Those two items cost $15. I left a tip as well because the service was friendly and quick. The store was rather large and it appeared they had some prepackaged ice cream to grab and go - and a few tables inside. Lady in front of me ordered a malt and went nuts when the girl handed her one. "What is this?! I said milkshake and you made a malt!" Ummm... No Mam! I heard you say malt to this poor girl and I will personally (and kindly) dump it over your head if you continue to scream at this adolescent who is profusely apologizing to you for making you a malt when you ASKED FOR ONE! Delicious ice cream with spectacular service. I was allowed to try as many flavors as I wanted. Which included the following: Midnight snack- surprisingly tied for favorites. Ice cream with pretzels, brownies and peanut butter cups. Coffee- I was warned that the coffee flavor was strong but I loved it. Chocolate chip mocha was similar to coffee ice cream with chocolate pieces. It had huge chunks of chocolate which made it surprisingly better. Pumpkin- I settled on pumpkin ice cream with a sprinkled and chocolate rim cone. There were so many great flavors I honestly couldn't decide. This is a nice ice cream shop that is located in a strip mall. They have a large parking lot and designated spots for curbside orders. The shop itself is large and very clean and well organized. I got the limited time pumpkin spice sundae. Mmmmmmmm. It was delicious. I highly recommend getting one. The staff there was very courteous and friendly. My ice cream was prepared very quickly with little to no wait time. They have a wide assortment ice cream that all sounded pretty good and they also have cakes and drinks in addition to ice cream cones, sundaes, cups and cartons. I absolutely love Graeter's black raspberry chocolate chip ice cream. IYKYK. My family buys their black raspberry chocolate chip cake every year for birthdays. That cake has drastically decreased in size and quality and has also dramatically increased in price over the years. I don't understand how you can mess up chocolate cake? The whipped cream icing is also subpar. It was such an integral part of our birthday experience, but we will no longer be spending $40 (used to be $20) for a smaller worse tasting cake. read more

You can get all of the typical things like milkshakes and sundaes here as well. The employees are always friendly and helpful! Two of my favorite flavors are the dark chocolate brownie and s'mores. This location is in a shopping plaza, so there is quite a bit of parking. There's plenty of seating and the store is very clean. It was my first time here getting just one scoop in a cup and they give you the option to upgrade for another scoop for just $.50 but it is very much not needed! They're scoops are so large it's just overwhelming and much too much to eat all of. I came in about 9:30pm on a Friday night and I was so surprised of how busy it was and how many people kept walking in and out. Everyone with a smile and the employees are so patient and nice. We visited this location on their 149th birthday. We were glad to see they were honoring the $1.49 single scoop cone offer! They had an employee on the corner dressed like an ice cream cone and waving at people. As you may have suspected, the line was fairly long. The store handled it well and had many employees working. There was a slight mix up with not returning to wait on customers after offering them samples. It was quickly resolved with a reminder. The Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip was tasty! I would have liked a little more chocolate though. I've had it with more before so maybe it was dependent on how full the tub was. The ice cream had a good taste but the PB&J sundae came out a melted mess and then we realized there was no strawberry sauce on it. Very disappointing experience today. A customer in front of me was being helped, and I was standing waiting for somebody to attend to me. I hear laughter and chatter in the room where employees go in and out. The door was open and I saw a couple of young ladies on their phones. The employee helping the customer ahead of me calls for some assistance, but nobody comes out. After a few minutes, an employee #1 comes out and puts gloves on, not acknowleding my existence. Employee #2 comes out looking quite annoyed and asks employee #1 if he is going to help me, and he said "I guess" to which employee #2 smirks and thinks his response was funny. I certainly felt like I was an inconvenience to them. I don't know about you all, but the hospitality is horrible. I've had a negative experience prior to this, but decided to give it another chance. However, the service is driving my business away. One of the young woman's name is Leea and has a bad attitude. Management needs to address staff how important it is to be attentive, and maybe no phones on shift? I'm not sure I'll be coming back until something changes read more

My only regret about Graeter's is that I only got the chance to go once during my week in Louisville. The ice cream clearly tastes of fresh ingredients and the flavor options are great. I tried the toffee chip. The toffee was good, but the chocolate chips took it a step beyond. These weren't your average chocolate chips, but but chunks of fudge like chocolate. The place has a vintage feel, is well maintained and home to friendly staff. If I find myself back in Louisville, you better believe that I'll find myself back at Graeter's. read more

This is the best ice cream in the entire country!!! (Second place would go to Ray's Ice Cream in Royal Oak, MI). The consistency is not too light or too dense, nor is it taffy-like. There are so many amazing flavors. It's great how they have seasonal flavors too. My favorite flavor is the mocha chip. I really like the irregular chunks of chocolate. That makes this ice cream more original and not so commercial as those with uniform bits of chocolate. My husband loves the rootbeer floats. They have bakery type goodies too for those who don't like ice cream. But if you merely like ice cream, this place might very possibly make you love it! I was never a big ice cream fan before I discovered Graeter's. I can even find the small pints at my Kroger now for when the occasional craving strikes. read more
