I visited this business after reading a stellar online review. Seeming to have an outstanding reputation I decided I would entrust the location with the responsibility of holding a kilo bar of silver in exchange for a loan valued at roughly 60% of the asking price. In all my experience trading physical precious metals I am used to getting maybe 40 to 60% of the items actual value in exchange for a short term loan. However the circumstances were much different here. At this location, the gentleman took my kilo bar of silver and sat at the computer for a couple minutes. When he returned he said "you were looking for about $100 right". Pause here. He had a straight face and I laughed assuming it was a joke. Spot price for silver was around $25/ oz and in his hands was a 32.5 Troy oz kilo bar in which I had asked for roughly $600. He wasn't joking. He told me that with the uncertainty in silver he would only be able to give me a maximum of $100 for a bar that I originally paid $1000 for. Divide 100 by 32.5 and he was basically offering me around $3 and change per ounce or roughly 1/8 of spot price. I told the gentleman I was not interested and that I hope this was not the manner in which he did business with the majority of his clients because that would be taking advantage of them in a big way. His only response was "well I lost a few hundred in silver so I can't always win either if a customer doesn't pay" Long story short. Even if silver dropped to its lowest price basically ever at $5 an ounce my kilo bar would be worth more than what this man attempted to get away with offering me. I think that is ridiculous and I genuinely hope that he just didn't want to do business with me personally because it is not a good look if someone can actually get away with this on a regular basis. I felt a responsibility to write this review and I can just suggest that potential customers do their homework before doing business here. Thank you for reading. read more
