This review is long overdue (and also very long), but now it spans 5 years and a couple different…read moreprojects that make William Greene a big part of my family's story. My grandmother had a few pieces of vintage jewelry that over the years my mother had pulled from to make other pieces (matching necklaces for my sisters and me, etc.). She wanted as many family members as possible to have a part of this sentimental jewelry. After her passing, it was up to me to make sure her wishes were met that each of my nieces receive an item made from a pendant of my grandmother's. It seemed important to have the right jeweler for this special project, and it only took a few minutes with William Greene to know we'd found the right people. Not only did he light up when he heard about the project, but he shared that he had inherited this business from his father and it was in his blood to make sentimental jewelry from heirloom items. Over the course of a few months, William and his wife created some beautiful designs that allowed my nieces to have unique pieces from the same pendant. It was such a moving way to honor my mother, and felt so good that they seemed invested in the project too. The four rings, and a drop necklace were all perfect and my nieces were so moved to receive them. William also restored and resized a ring of my grandmother's that I'm now able to wear. Fast forward a few years when my husband was getting ready to propose. When he learned that I was in possession of my mother's wedding ring and would like to have it reset as my own, he knew immediately whom to work with. He remembered a conversation from an early date about my meeting with William, who made a hard time mourning my mother a little lighter by his excitement to create such special pieces. He knew that William should be the one to make yet another precious item, the one I'll wear the rest of our lives. When my husband reached out to William and his wife, they remembered me and the past project. They were so happy to work with him on this next big item, and they even were able to work with him remotely, making sure that the ring was shipped with insurance. I love my ring, and I love that William and his wife were able to be such a part of my family's story, spreading that beautiful legacy of heirlooms to new generations. Our one minor note on both the projects would be that the communication on progress could've been a bit more consistent. However, the stunning finished products and the feeling behind the work far outweighs any minor delays in communication.

What truly made the difference was their kindness and patience. They made me feel completely at ease, never judgmental, and genuinely cared about my experience. I received an exceptionally beautiful wedding band that was exactly what I wanted. My fiancee loves it too. He finished the job exactly on the day he committed to (4 week lead time). It appears that John does most of his work through his web site. Because we are close by, he met with us personally. He does not have a "public" studio. So we met at a coffee house in Ben Lomond. He came well prepared with samples and ideas. If you end up wanting to meet with him, do not be put off by the fact he is not set up with a public studio.

Last year we were back and basically stayed across the street on vacation for 4 days. We went to the store numerous times and hours hoping to get the fountain and the store was never open. We are back this year and went by a few times and finally she was open!!! The fountain was still there!! We were so excited! We asked the lady for the price, she said it had just come in and there wasn't a price well we didn't call her out on her BS and asked what she wanted for it. She said she needed her son to take a look at it before she priced it because she didn't know if it worked. Well we explained we would take it if it didn't work and just needed the price. She then told us it wasn't for sale. Well I asked her for a business card so I could call her and see what her son said after he took a look at it. She looked at me and said no she didn't have a business card and she would have to write the info down. I stood there for a few minutes waiting and nothing! She was beyond rude, dismissive! Not sure what her deal is but I find it hard to believe she has been able to stay in business with the shop smelling like an ashtray and her nasty unfriendly attitude and blatant lies about her merchandise! The shop was also dog friendly so our dog was able to come inside. The shop is a lot of true vintage and very unique pieces. My husband found a pair of vintage anteater Tony Lama boots that he fell in love with. We didn't buy them that day but luckily when we came back the following day they were still there and we were able to get them. Lots of quality pieces inside and definitely worth a stroll through while in town.

Once I wore the hat for an extended period of time (about an hour) it left a red mark across my forehead. The material apparently irritates my skin? Never had this problem before with a hat. My fault for cutting the tabs, but they never should have been part of the hat. Sneaky to not show the entire hat. Would not buy from them again.

I purchased an Outback Trading Company product through Chicks Saddlery Jan. 18, 2024, 14 months…read moreago. The product is Resistance Woodbury riding jacket. It is an oil slicker jacket which is water resistant and designed for horseback riding. I liked the jacket until this morning. I wore the jacket this morning since it was cold outside. When I came back in and started to take the jacket off, I noticed the zipper wasn't fully zipped. I tried to zip it back down and found the zipper was stuck. I had to take the jacket off over my head. I tried again to run the zipper down and couldn't. I informed Outback Trading the zipper was defective and asked for a repair. The company's response is "we do not currently offer repairs, re-proofing, Chin cords, or replacement." WHAT A RIPOFF! Stay away from this product. It looks heavy duty but it is not!!! DO NOT BUY and I assume judging by the customer service that none of their products are worth buying. Their customer service statement says it all! Marietta

I came to Treasures to fix my Mother's ring that was passed down to me. A while back I originally…read moretook the ring to a "Scotts Valley Jeweler"... I won't name names (hint, hint), and I wanted them to just size the ring to my finger. It had to be sized up a bit. When I picked up the ring the gold band was stretched thin into an oval shape which flopped around on my finger. I pointed this out and they said they didn't see anything wrong with it. When I came into Treasures I was greeted by a very sweet and kind woman and then met her daughter and her husband. It was so nice to get that warm family feeling like they were going to make everything right that the other jeweler had ruined. Sure enough they did just that. The ring was brought back to life and made very strong and expertly crafted. I also had them do tipping to my Moms wedding bands. Tipping is when they build back up the prongs holding stones in a band. Both rings look fabulous and I'll definitely come back to have them set more of my loose stones in the future.
