We ended up at this place after deciding we wanted ice cream while driving down Montauk Highway. It was 20 minutes before we came across any place which happened to be here! There was also two ice cream chains but we decided to try something different and I'm glad we did! This gelato is SO good! The Pistachio was delicious & I also had a scoop of Chocolate Marshmallow Chip. It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth the treat. Employees were very nice and you are welcome to have a sample of any flavor you'd like to try. It's cash only, so come prepared. They have beaches out front on a big lawn to hang out and eat which is nice especially if you come with kids. I'm a little sad it's so far because I'd love to go here again! Walked into gemelli after a nice hot day of fishing. They were eager to let us try the flavors and the staff was extremely kind and courteous. Overall I dont think their gelato tasted like gelato. More like regulation ice cream average run of the mill. Maybe I should've tried one of the fancy cones. I would definitely come back and try another flavor with a special cone or waffle. Wonderful place! Different varieties of fresh, real gelato! I loved the strawberry flavor, it was fantastic! I also picked few other flavors, I guess it was dumpster and peanut butter chocolate one, and liked it as well. O.k. so I gave this place a second try and had a much much better experience the second time around. For starters the gentleman behind the counter was very nice and actually bothered to ask me what size gelato I would like, unlike the last time. It actually took me more than two bits to finish. This time I tried totally different flavors and all of them were much better than the previous experience. Toasted marshmallow is definitely a favorite. I'm beginning to like this place. Too bad they are closing soon because the season is almost over. Oh well, there's always next year. read more

Absolutely love Gemelli Gelato! Not just an ice cream store, but a place to spend some time with the family. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, offering samples of any of their 24 flavors, which rotate throughout the summer! My personal favorite is the Chocolate Elephant in a flavored waffle cone. There are a few dairy free sorbettos available, as well. There is a selection of chocolate, including Oreos, pretzels, fudge, and bark. Or, you can just grab an espresso or Nitro Cold Brew coffee! The best part is spending some time on the huge lawn playing corn hole, or chatting at the picnic tables. I lucked out with live music one of the nights I stopped in! Don't let the size of this shop fool you, it's perfect, and you will NOT regret waiting in line for homemade gelato! My only complaint is that they aren't open year round! read more

The family stopped by the shop this past Friday night and was welcomed by a young man at the front door. He explained the flavors to me and made a few suggestions. We ended up listening and got the chocolate elephant and a scoop of espresso chip. 2 smalls for under $11 was very reasonable and we enjoyed the stay very much. My wife ended up getting a nitro coffee after and it was very refreshing. We sat in the Adirondack chairs and the young man provided us with paper towels and windex to wipe them down. We noticed they got the parking lot repaved and it was really pleasant to park in. They had this cool mini truck on the front lawn and they even offer catering for events. This is the perfect summer spot to get some ice cream and have some laughs. My and two if my sisters went here last sunday for a review on my instagram @sundaeonasunday. There is a huge front yard that has corn hole and open space for children to play tag or soccer. They also have a ton of comfortable loung chairs outside and a section outside thats under a canopy. The gelato itself was really good and tasted very much like the flavors they were advertising. They had about 20 flavor options as well as a memorial day americano special. We tried the chocolate elephant- amazing- and the cookies a cream- very good. I would totally recommend this place for a nice night out to get dessert if you are in the Hampton area. The gelato here is fantastic but the employees are even better. My 3 year old son had gotten stung by a bee when we were sitting outside. He was an absolute mess and i was trying to grab our stuff when one of the employees came out of the store. He had a container for our gelato, an ice pack for my son and a small plastic car to distract him. He even offered to put our gelato into the freezer. He went above and beyond to help us.
