The gelato here is fantastic but the employees are even better. My 3 year old son had gotten stung by a bee when we were sitting outside. He was an absolute mess and i was trying to grab our stuff when one of the employees came out of the store. He had a container for our gelato, an ice pack for my son and a small plastic car to distract him. He even offered to put our gelato into the freezer. He went above and beyond to help us. Yum Yum Yum. Gemelli has excellent gelato. It's a super cute place but a little tricky to find. It's on Montauk Highway, but sort of in a back area of a park very close to Buckley's Inn. It's worth seeking out. I love the coconut and chocolate the best. Getting them mixed is a must. :) read more

This is a gem set back from the main road. My friend and I were intrigued by the numerous over-scaled ice cream sculptures adorning the lawn, and were happy we decided to go in. It's reasonably priced, esp for the area, with a small being 2 scoops. I got one scoop of cannoli and one scoop of peanut butter chocolate brownie. This was our first and last visit to Gemelli Gelato. The five of us arrived and brought our medium-sized dog since the place is dog-friendly with a huge piece of property. While in line, the dog barked a couple of times. My husband moved away from the line and the owner asked me if that was my dog and said that we would have to wait with her in the parking lot because there were some kids who were scared. That's ridiculous. The parking lot is not lit and actually the whole yard is poorly lit. And I was not allowing my dog anywhere near other people. She is extremely friendly and there was plenty of room on the property for everyone. We specifically chose to come here because it said that pets were welcome. We got the gelato anyway and it was not that great. I'll go to Carvel next time. read more

Our day isn't complete without stopping for our favorite gelato. Today we went to the beach and it was too windy to stay so we stopped at Gemelli and we were there an hour before they opened. Been meaning to stop here for gelato since they opened. It always seemed like it would be difficult to park. It is actually much more accessible than it looks. Big parking lot right next to it with signs indicating 15 min parking for Gemelli Gelato. Yummy gelato and very friendly staff. Cash only. We will definitely be frequent patrons. read more

The best service I have ever had at an ice cream store. The man serving us was very kind, helpful, and clearly eager for his customers to have an amazing experience. I had arrived just before closing time but was not at all rushed even though I could tell we were the last customers and the store needed to be closed. The gelato was also very very good. Wanted dessert after our meal at Cowfish and this was just a 6 minute drive away! It's off the main road and is down a cute path. They have lawn chairs set up and corn hole too! Very small space BUT I appreciated they sign with all the flavor on it outside so instead of hogging space inside you can decide what you want and then taste a sample quickly before ordering. They have a good selection..I had the Espresso Chip and husband had S'mores. They really give a good portion for a small cup too. But I especially liked the service...gentleman at the register saw my husband at the ATM because its CASH ONLY and we didn't have enough on us, so instead of having us pay an ATM fee he told us not to worry about the 75 cents. I thought that was very nice of him and he seemed genuinely happy that he stopped my husband in time before he was charged a fee. Will be back If I'm in the area again! read more

I don't often write reviews but just want to give a shout out to Gemellis. It's a great place- not only is the gelato delish, the setup is so relaxing. They have a huge lawn with games and seating. So great to have a neighborhood spot where you can sit and eat gelato or have an iced coffee and relax for awhile. The owners are super nice and friendly. They just came out and offered my dog water! So kind. Come here and have some gelato! read more

We bought a pint of rum raisin and a pint of espresso chip, and they were both okay. Not bad, but not great either. The issue is that it was quite pricey, and the pint container was half filled. We weighed it and it was just over 8 oz in each. It was a rip off, and if I go back it'll be to complain. read more

We were in Hampton bay for a few days and were told that gemelli's gelato was great .My friend had the UFO and loved it . I had a half salted caramel and half chocolate with marshmallows . It was so delicious . If you are in Hampton bay stop by for the best gelato !!!!!! read more

So...if you've ever had real gelato you would realize that this place just serves ice cream. I think the place is great though. The lawn and picnic tables are wonderful for the kids to eat their "gelato" and then run around and enjoy the spacious lawn for a bit. I was just surprised because when I ordered the pistachio "gelato" it was very hard and extremely cold just like ice cream. Very far from smooth, creamy, soft original gelato. My family of 5 also ordered different flavors which were all the same consistency of ice cream. I think this place would've been better just being named an ice cream shop. read more

Great place to take the kids for an after dinner or sports ice cream treat (or gelato). They have a big yard so the kids can run around like crazy once the sugar kicks in. The service was great,workers were friendly and an overall wonderful experience. The one negative (just for me) is the fact that there was no healthier options. I get that that may not be there target market but it always helps me choose where to take the kids if I have multiple options. Kids can eat whatever and I can have a healthier chose and not feel guilty about it. read more
